Yes

This moment occurs after Property of a Gordon and after the epilogue as well. I hope you all enjoy!!!

She was my addiction in every sense of the word, my Snowflake. I had feared that my fondness for her would lessen over time, as it seemed realistic. But as time increased, so did my need for her. Only her touch would smother the desire for the moment. However, it never truly left.

Instead of working as I should, I had allowed her to pull me from my office and outside to our garden. She chose to sit next to the amaryllises before telling me she would be back. I was alone now, admiring the beauty of the delicate flowers.

The amaryllises were so soft, yet they held such a vibrant color. It made them appear bold while snatching one's attention. I knew they would be gone within a few day before hibernating for the rest of the year, which is why I was sure Snowflake had chosen to be here.

"Surprise!" At this, I turned slightly, catching a pair of stunning green eyes. They were lit with excitement, almost as infectious as her smile. I felt my own lips pulling up at the sight of the picnic basket and cover in her hands.

"Does this not seem familiar, love?" I asked her as I went over to assist in laying down the cover.

Her vibrant eyes rolled before she gently placed the basket on the cover and walked over to me. Within the past year, it had become an automatic response to open my arms for her as I did now.

She walked straight into them, her small arms wrapping around my torso. I sighed as she leaned against me, her body fitting perfectly against mine. I stroked her back, relishing the small shiver that ran through her as my fingers grazed her spine.

"I wanted today to be special. And what better way to make it special than by recreating our first date?" she said, nipping my ear. It was something that had taken me a long time to become adjusted to, but now, it was something I rather enjoyed in secret.

"I think it is fitting. Are the triplets with someone?" I asked, realizing perhaps it wasn't the best question when she pulled away. Her eyes had darkened a shade and there was a frown forming.

"Do you think I can't take care of my own children? Do you think I would seriously just leave them to run around the palace?" she snapped, the frown growing deeper and deeper.

My hold around her tightened before she could pull away and walk off. I then pressed my lips against her forehead, receiving a small growl in return. My lips trailed down to her nose, landing there for a brief moment before settling on the place they preferred to be.

I could feel her stiffen at the kiss, but it wasn't long before her own lips were pressing against mine. I laughed, pleased my plan had worked rather than failing.

"Love, I do not doubt your ability to mother our children. You've been doing so for years now," I started once I pulled away. She opened her mouth to speak, but I hushed her, continuing.

"I was only curious as to whom they are with, nothing more. I could not have found a better woman to be the mother of my children, so never doubt that, love," I explained, feeling her soften underneath my arms. A smile now played on her lips, a clear sign I had won her over.

It was the one thing I questioned about my love. She was quick to assume things without putting thought behind said assumption. A simple question had become an accusation in the matter of a few minutes.

The flaw was something I loved about her. I preferred seeing the way she would transform from a bristling warrior into a calm tiger. I enjoyed knowing that it was I who had caused that transformation and that I could, and had, do it again. This small imperfection of hers was suitable for me in every way.

"They're with Alex and Marco. They were both pleased to take the tyrants off of our hands for a while," she said and I laughed, knowing they would only enjoy it for a moment before the three balls of energy made them want to seek shelter.

"Can we eat now or is this question too insulting to you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. I could only laugh as she snapped at me once again, but her amusement was clear in both her mesmerizing eyes and her tone.

Chefs Alex and Marco had prepared a lemon rosemary salmon for us, garnished with a strip of chives, served with a side of lightly seasoned jasmine rice and slow cooked beans. My Snowflake had attempted to present the dish as they would but ultimately failed. She had forgotten what they had told her and only ended up giving up when I began laughing and she joined in.

The food was as delightful as always, but I spent more time paying attention to her. I watched as she savored each bite as if it was her last meal. She still cherished her food, something both chefs loved about her. She had become their personal taste testers and never failed to please them.

We sat there for an hour after we both finished. We teased one another, kissed, and simply enjoyed each other's company. She made it possible to talk to her for hours on end despite the fact I knew everything about her. It was one of the infinite reasons I loved her.

Once we finished, I took the basket and cover, offering to place them back. I thought about the work I had to, unfortunately, return to, but by the mischievous look in her eyes, our date had not ended.

"Yes?" I said, questioning her. She smiled, taking the things from my hand before setting them back on the ground. She grabbed my hand firmly this time, pressing her lips against it before walking us towards the palace.

"What do you have planned for us, love?" I asked, growing more and more curious. Her smile only grew and she continued guiding us into the palace, leading us through the halls and straight towards the hospital wing.

"Is someone hurt, love?" I asked, worrying that perhaps one of the triplets had gotten injured. She rolled her eyes at me before shaking her head.

"No one's hurt, Kendall. Just go into that room—" she said, pointing towards the empty hospital room where the door was wide open. "—and change into the gown on the bed."

I frowned, reluctant to follow her orders. But her lips pressed against mine briefly before she asked, "Do you trust me?"

"Without a doubt," I said, sighing when I realized I could not possibly go against her wishes. She beamed, laughing as I headed towards the room.

Before entering, I noticed that the hospital wing was strangely quiet. It was almost as if we were the only ones in the entire wing. I just sighed once again, wondering what my Snowflake had crafted.

I changed into the gown, memories flooding back. The last time I had worn one had not been pleasant. I had not been allowed to leave the room and could only hold regret and remorse for those who had lost their lives protecting me.

I waited several more minutes before calling out. "Love, may I step out of the room now?" I heard no response and hesitated before opening the door.

There stood my Snowflake in a black dress. My eyes flickered as I realized it was familiar. She had worn the dress to the funeral for Lance before visiting me. The dress still fit her perfectly and made her appear just as stunning as she had when wearing it the first time.

"Love—" I started, looking around. I had never felt so much confusion within one moment.

She smiled, laughing at my expression. "Do you remember the last time I wore this?" she asked and I nodded, reaching out and pulling her closer.

"We had just begun our journey together, permanently. That was the day you forgave me and realized you couldn't change me. That was the day you decided you loved me despite all of my flaws and problems," she said, her green eyes still connecting with my own.

"This same day I realized that I wasn't able to give you up. You had sacrificed yourself for me, something I never forgot. That very day I knew I would fight for you even if you continued ignoring me. Because you were more than worth it," she finished and I smiled, leaning closer to press my lips against her forehead.

"You are worth more than everything in this palace. Know that, my love. Not once, even when we are not walking down the same path, have I ever thought differently," I whispered in her ear, holding her closely.

"Kendall, the reason you're in the gown and I'm wearing this dress is because I want to change my answer," she said softly and I frowned, not understanding.

"Your answer to what?" I asked, pulling back slightly in an attempt to read her expression. She looked at me with amusement in her eyes, an adoring smile, and a mischievous expression.

"You asked me a question that day. Did you already forget?" she asked, tilting her head. Just like that, she managed to alter my world once again.

"You asked me to marry you," she said, her smile growing bigger when seeing my own. "And I'm saying yes."
