I am a 22 year-old man. I should not be talking about what happened 20 years ago. But, oh well!

My little sister Gemini was born. The second she was alive my parents had a troubled look on their faces. Later I heard them talking.

"You know the rules Gracie," my father said.

"Yes John. We've been over this. We can pretend the boy is dead and throw him in the basement," my loving mother said.

"Don't you think that's harsh?" said dad.

"Would you rather kill him?"

"No. Do it after lunch."

Pretend the boy is dead?! It's either me or my brother Taurus. I was crossing my chubby  2 year-old fingers it was him.

So as you imagined  lunch was terrifying. We all ate in silence. Minus the most annoying person on earth crying non-stop. I covered my ears and stuck my face in my food so I could still eat while Gemini's screams filled the air.

"Aries," my mom said "can you get paper towels from the basement please?"

"That's a big boy job," my dad added.

"I'm a big boy!" I yelled and ran to the basement totally forgetting about the whole "pretend the boy is dead" thing. Until I heard the door lock behind me. Every toddler's dream to get locked in a basement full of weapons!

I'd love  to say I was brave! But I was really balling my eyes out...
