Hello Wattpadders! As the deadline for the contest draws nearer, we'd like to make a few announcements.

RULE CHANGE

We've changed the rules for the competition. Due to the sheer number of entries (at least 40 anticipated), we ask that you do NOT enter a story in a collection of short stories. Instead, please separate all your entries into respective books. This is for ease of judging and promoting. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused!

PARTICIPANTS

The Wattpad tagging system seems to be a bit flawed (second results page not showing, tagged stories not displayed, etc). Therefore, we may be missing your entry! Please check our 'October 2014 Entries' Reading List if you have entered a short story. If your entry is not displayed, please contact us immediately with a link to your story. Thanks!

Once you've confirmed that your entry has been officially accepted, we suggest that you take the time to familiarize yourself with the guidelines, edit your work, find/create an appealing cover, or even start another entry. Please remember that all entries to the contest MUST be short stories (10k words or under) and tagged properly in order to be entered.

JUDGES

We are currently in the process of seeking judges, whose names will be released on October 20th. If you have decided to not participate in this month's contest, you are eligible to apply as a judge for the contest (http://w.tt/1uOS1XK). We're looking for Wattpadders willing to read around 40 short stories of every genre and take the time to judge carefully and fairly.
