Princess Kirelia and mage's apprentice Ryder have been friends for almost five years. They have been extremely close, so close that Lia developed a small secret of her own. A secret that Ryder doesn't know of. But Ryder doesn't know about it, does he?

But Lia isn't the only one who has been keeping secrets. Ryder has been secretly training with his friend, a soldier-in-training named Cadaylin.

Every ten years, Choosing Day arrives. The king and queen choose three soldier-in-trainings to go out and fight in the war with the other soldiers. Every soldier-in-trainings are nervous, hoping that they weren't chosen. Yet they feared for their friends' lives.

With their lives at jeopardy, Ryder fears that he will be one of the Chosen Ones. But the Majesties don't know about his training, do they?
