Falling...
Falling down, which seemed like forever.

"Ooof!" I grunted.
Nothing seemed to hurt.
Am I dead...?
I forced my eyes open and saw a patch of golden flowers beneath me.
Flowers...?
I stood up in puzzlement and dusted my sweater from dirt.
The room was dark and shrouded with vines as the only source of light, the moon, shone down on me from whence I came.
"Curse that puppy...how am I ever gonna get back now" I muttered, clicking the locket back on my neck.
How am I supposed to climb up there..?
My surroundings started to darken as the clouds began covering its way, including the moon.
I better find a way out of here
If not
Then I should somehow find a place to settle in for the night.
I picked the only buttercup that wasn't smashed and tucked it behind my ear to prevent some of my baby hair to stick out.
I walked further and there I saw a hallway, leading to an entrance.
I hope nothing would scare the skin off of me in there.
'Cause I'm also scared of darkness
And I don't wanna run into another kind of trouble, I've had enough of this cold night.
I gulped as I entered the dark room.
It was dark enough to cause me total blindness but minimal moonlight shone down on a patch of grass on the center of the darkness.
I inched closer, but out of the blue, a flower sprouted on the grass.
"Hiya! I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower!" It exclaimed, an innocent smile, plastered on its face.
A-a talking flower?
Startled, I fell on my back and scampered away a little to keep distance.
"Whoa, scared aren'tcha? don't worry, I don't bite." It leaned further to my face. I cringed, but I forced a smile.
"What's your name?" Flowey asked.
Should I tell him my name...?
Geez Frisk, its just a name.
Its not like I'll get killed just by it.
And, he seems nice and harmless enough to do such thing.
"U-umm...m-my name's Frisk." I responded and it backed away a little, seeming to notice the nervousness in my voice.
"Welcome to the Underground Frisk!" Flowey welcomed me with glee.
"T-the u-underground?" I said as curiosity got me.
"Oh, golly.. Don't ya know? Its where us monsters live." Flowey asked a bit frustrated.
"O-oh" I replied.
Monsters...
I didn't even expect that they'd exist
So the myths are real...
I remember the rumors that old people say, they say that people who dares ran into the forbidden forest up in Mt. Ebott never came back and was never heard of.
"Hello? Earth to Frisk!" Flowey exclaimed.
"Oh sorry I spaced out a little."
Now I know why'd they never come back, maybe they fell into this hole same as me.
The only difference between them and me is the fact that I'm alive.
Alive as of now I guess...
But,
Would I really be satisfied living back up there again..?
All my relatives are nowhere to be found and they're unknown to me.
I could live up there, yes
But not alone..
The doctors might just send me to the orphanage.
Is that a good thing...?
I guess so,
I'll just let fate decide.
"Flowey?"
"Yes?"
"Do you know how can I get back up there?" I pointed up as he thought for a moment.
"Sorry Frisk but as far as I know..none could ever get back up there again." he said with an expressionless face.
Oh...
"Every human tried, but they'd end up dead before they could reach THE END." He pitied, sorrow and remorse replacing his cheery face for a moment.
"Reaching it would ta-"
"I'll do it." I firmly spat, not even fully aware of what I just said.
Now I'm settling things
I part of me wanted to give up and let everything go but do I even have any other choice?
The last thing I ever wanted was to feel free and start anew.
So, why not start it with a little adventure?
Who knows,
I might find a new direction that'll lead me to a new path of life.
Hopefully, I'll find answers along the way...
Regain what's been lost of my memories...
It might not be that bad, would it..?
"I'll do whatever it takes." I stood up in full height with courage.
A few lines might convince him I'm serious and determined.
His face lightened up in a sickly way for a moment there but I brushed it off.
I must've been imagining things.
"Alright, not my loss." He chuckled at his own dark humour as everything turned black and white.
Suddenly, I felt something being ripped out of my chest. It didn't dealt me any pain though.
My heart? Floated out. It glowed a radiant red, pulsing with color.
"That's your soul." Flowey pointed out.
"To defend yourself, ya need to protect that soul of yours, m'kay?" I obviously nodded.
"You can distance yourself against monsters by gaining LV."
"LV?"
"LV stands for Love." Flowey said, emphazing the word love.
"As a head start, I can help you gain some." Flowey shook its head from side to side, and there came oval white thingies.
"Love can be gained from these friendliness pellets, get as many as you can." Those things started to move towards my soul, I moved my right hand to the right and my soul moved but, apparently, I missed them.
Whoops!
"Hey buddy, ya missed them, Please run into the BULLETS!!" Flowey shouted, his face started to change into an evil smile, waiting me to run into them.
Wait...
Hold on a sec..
Did he just said bullets? I thought they're friendliness pellets? I moved my hand again and avoided them for a couple of times.
I smell something fishy around here...
One thing's for sure,
He's not to be trusted.
He's just luring me into a trap.
His voice suddenly became dark, shifting to different happy faces then finally into an evil smile, the bullets surrounding me.
What have I gotten myself into this time.
"FOOLISH, ARE YOU NOT? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU'RE UP AGAINST TO? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS WORLD REALLY MEANS?"
His wide sickly grin made my stomach churn with fear. I tried to move and run but I was too scared to.
"IN THIS WORLD, ITS KILL OR BE KILLED!" Flowey laughed maniacally, his voice echoing in the room.
"OH, AND DIDN'T YOUR PARENTS TAUGHT YOU THAT YOU SHOULDN'T TRUST A STRANGER?" Flowey made a cheery face, then turned to maniac again.
"DIE!" the bullets came towards me fast, I ducked and covered my eyes and ears.
His menacing voice makes my head hurt so baldly, specifically his laugh. It was laced with pure hatred and sadism.
But the pain stopped.
The laughing stopped too.
Shaking, I dared to take a look of what's happening.
A flaming ball of fire hit him right on his face. His bullets vanished as he hissed in pain, giving me that threatening look which read 'I will come back' before he retreated underground.
"Good heavens! Are you alright?" There a goat like woman, loomed in front of me, her voice is angelic and full of concern as she kneeled before me.
She wore a simple deep purple robe that matched her snow white fur, it was quite welcoming and warming, Just like Nurse Lia.
I can tell that she was sincere and honest from there and seeing her makes me feel comfortable and safe.
"Y-yes" I replied shakily.
"Thanks for helping me."
"Not at all, I am Toriel by the way, I'm the caretaker of this place, the ruins, to be exact." She smiled and helped me on my feet.
"What is your name innocent one?" I perked my head up from her question.
"Frisk..." just then, my tummy rumbled making me flustered and embarrassed for the second time around.
"Oh, you must to be hungry." She hinted, chuckling in a soft manner.
I rubbed the side of my shoulder in embarrassment, making it a habit of mine.
I hate to admit it but I feel empty since I fell down here.
I just had soup for the whole day anyways.
"Come then! I will bake you my special pie!" Toriel beckoned me.
My insides begged for me to come and agree and I gave in.
"Pie? I love pies!" I bursted with excitement but covered my mouth for the sudden outburst.
She chuckled as she lend her hand, which I gladly took and from there, we entered the the ruins.
We passed some puzzles along the way and a few monsters that might have a slight resemblance to the surface world animals.
Seeing them made me feel safe and that having the thought that I'm still at home.
Its gonna be easy for me to adapt in a place like this, since everything seemed to have no difference from the surface.
At the end, I saw a corridor which me and Toriel came through.
"Wow..." I gazed in awe as I looked around her tidy cream coloured house.
Toriel just giggled at my shocked reaction.
"I wasn't expecting visitors, but I managed to clean the house." She grinned.
Maybe she lives here all alone,
She looks overly happy for someone who has visitors.
'I don't even think she often gets any visitors, it must be sad.' I frowned.
"Oh! , Let me take you to your room."
She swiftly headed to a long hallway, expecting me to follow from behind.
"My room?" I asked, overwhelmed of her actions.
"Oh yes, I have a spare room for you to have some rest." She beckoned me and I followed her into a shrouded pink coloured room.
I walked in and sat on the small comfy bed.
It was soft and it gives me that heavenly feeling.
I've never had a bed much comfortable as this!
"Have some rest my child, while I bake the pie. it may take awhile, but I'll come back here before you'll even know it! Please make yourself at home dear one!" Toriel happily exclaimed as she left me in the room.
I heaved a deep sigh and collapsed on the bed.
The comfort,
The care,
The Love
It brings back so many memories of home.
Toriel reminds me so much about my mother.
I remember those times I've spent with my mom together, the time we baked pies when I was a kid.
And then a subtle memory came rushing back...

"Frisk? Is something bothering you? You look tired?" She asked in a worrisome voice, as she set her spatula down for a moment.
"I'm okay mom, just tired from schoolwork and projects." I smiled, throwing the bag on the sofa as I collapsed on it.
"Oh OK, let me bake a pie for you then." Mom smiled as she walked back into the kitchen.
"Ooh! Ooh! Can I help?" I asked excitedly.
"I thought you're tired sweetie?" Mom said as she was surprised by my expression.
"Who said I'm tired of baking pies?" I beamed, tackling her into a hug.
She just chuckled.
"Oh, alright." She hugged me back, lifting off of my feet and swaying me around.
I giggled as she started tickling me.
"You know I've always loved your pies very much mom."
"Yes I know, but not as much I loved you." She said as she bopped my nose.
"I love you mom." I said as I hugged her tight.
"I love you too."she said as she hugged me back.

I lied down the bed and let my drowsiness take in, then I fell into a deep slumber.
