Chapter-15
**Second Chance **

"Marry me," he said looking into my eyes.

"What? You. think.I. will. marry. YOU?" Swara asked, looking into his eyes.

"This is the only way left for you to save your reputation," Sanskar said.

"You are crazy. Do you even know what you are saying? First, tell me what you think of me. A puppet? Your toy? You must be thinking of me as your puppet who is ready to follow your every order. Am I right, Mr.Sanskar Maheswari? You have lost your mind. I thought there must be some sanity left in you but no, you are completely shameless. You are the most disgusting person I have ever met in my life. I will never marry you," Swara spat.

"You think I want to marry you out of love? No, my name is being linked with yours. I want to save my reputation by marrying you," Sanskar said calmly, controlling his anger.

"I did everything that you told me but I won't do this. I will never marry a monster like you who uses girls to satisfy his mere lust," Swara shouted.

"I use girls for my lust. Fine, I am a womanizer. What are you? You have spent two days at Laksh Roy's house. Who knows what happened between you both?" Sanskar asked.

That was it for Swara. She slapped Sanskar.

"How dare you?" Sanskar raged, holding his cheeks.

"Shut up! I should ask you this question. How dare you question my character? It was you who forced me. After using me, what did you do? You threw me out to die. When I was going to die, it was Laksh who saved me. Not you. He gave me shelter. He is my friend. I was not living there alone with him. His family lives with him too. He is a human being, not a beast like you," Swara said.

Swara's voice was calm but there was a venomous tone in her words.

"Because of you, my character is being questioned. The day when I denied giving my body to you, why did you force me? Just to satisfy your lust, my life got destroyed. I have nothing left in my life. Why did you send that video to Maa? Why? Why am I suffering because of you? Why am I always being a sacrificial lamb to satisfy everyone? First Maa sold me to Sahil then destiny sold me to you," Swara grabbed his collar while speaking.

"Your stepmother sold you to Sahil?" Sanskar asked out of shock.

"Maa had fixed my engagement with Sahil three years back. Baba was very happy because finally, I was going to get married. I was also happy because my family was happy. The night we were engaged, he forcibly came to my room at night. He told me that he had paid Maa to have me in bed. He told me that first, he would have fun with me, then after marriage, he would sell me to some other man. He was about to rape me but baba came and saved me. Sahil even hit baba and threatened him that he would rape me and Ragini. Luckily, Ragini had called the police and he was arrested. After that day I never saw him until the day when you saved me from him," Swara fell on the floor crying.

Sanskar's heart was aching badly.

Sanskar forwarded his hands to wipe her tears.

"Don't touch me. I loathe your touch. Never ever will I marry you. Why should I marry you? So that you will get a license to rape me every night?" Swara spoke.

Sanskar's jaw clenched. He was losing his mind seeing the hatred in her eyes.

"I will rather die than marry you," she said.

Sanskar took steps towards her and pulled her into an embrace.

"Leave me," Swara tried to break free from his grip but he rounded his arms securely around her, trapping her.

"Calm down, I won't hurt you," Sanskar tried to calm her down but it only had the opposite effect.

Swara was busy uselessly trying to struggle against him. She failed to notice that Sanskar was slowly dragging her in the direction of the bed. It was only when he pushed her down roughly and climbed on top of her, did she realize she was in bed.

"I said calm down," Sanskar's eyes were very dark and scary.

His words had her instantly cease her struggle; the threat in those words was enough. Once she stopped screaming, Sanskar's eyes softened a little.

Tears pricked the corner of her eyes when the weight of helplessness threatened to drown her in despair.

"Get off me," Swara gritted, trying not to let her tears fall.

"I will get off you when I am ready to," he replied.

"Sanskar, please get off me," Swara pleaded.

Sobs wracked her body as she cried and cried, trying to push Sanskar off her but failing. Sanskar straddled and buried his face in her neck.

"Cry as much as you want. But you cannot escape me. You will have to marry me. The sooner you accept the fact, the better," Sanskar said.

"Sanskar, stop this now," Kabir shouted from behind.

Seeing Kabir, Sanskar got off her and Swara hid in the duvet in embarrassment.

"Lock her and don't give her any food till she agrees to marry me," Sanskar got up and left the room.

Kabir looked at Swara before leaving the room.

"Sanskar," Kabir called him from behind.

"What?" Sanskar turned back to answer.

As soon as he turned back, he received a punch from Kabir.

"What the fuck?" Sanskar shouted.

"How dare you harm her again? I thought you cared for her, but no, you can never change. Sanskar, doesn't your soul ask you to stop when you see her innocent face? Doesn't your heart bleed on seeing her tears?" Kabir asked.

"I don't have any heart," Sanskar snapped back.

"When will you understand that everyone is not the same? Swara is very naive. The fact is, you don't deserve her," Kabir walked off.

"Yes, I don't deserve her but one day I will definitely be capable of her," Sanskar whispered.

It was 10:30 at night and Swara was sitting on the balcony, looking at the stars.

"Swara," Kabir called her name, standing at the door.

Swara wiped off her tears and smiled.

"You don't need to hide your tears from me," Kabir smiled.

"Why are you with Sanskar? I mean you're nice but yet on his side," Swara said.

"I am his friend. It doesn't mean that I agree with what he's doing with you. I even punched him today," Kabir said.

Swara smiled at him.

"Now eat this. You haven't eaten anything since this morning," Kabir said.

"No, Sanskar will be angry if he comes to know that you gave me food," Swara said.

"No, he won't be angry. He's the one who asked me to give you dinner," Kabir said.

"If he wants me to eat, then why can't he give me dinner?" Swara asked.

"Ego problem," Kabir said.

Kabir handed her a plate filled with rice and curry. Swara picked up the spoon and started eating.

"Do you want anything else?" Kabir asked.

"No," Swara replied.

"Swara, can I ask you something?" Kabir asked.

Swara nodded her head.

"Why can't you trust Sanskar?" Kabir asked.

"How can I trust him after what he did to me? He snatched the most precious thing from me," Swara cried.

"Sanskar is not what you think. His mom died when he was young. His dad's life always revolved around girls. From his very childhood he saw how his dad used to treat girls. He learnt what he saw. It's not his fault that he sleeps with girls. He was raised in an environment like that. Do you know he is even addicted to drugs? I am not justifying his deeds; I am just saying what's true. And one thing, he has changed after you came into his life. Swara, he truly cares for you. After he has met you he hasn't gone to any other girl. I don't know what he feels for you, but there's a special place in his heart for you. After your arrival I have seen him change a lot for you. You are the only girl who has the capability to change him. Only you can bring him out of the darkness. Swara, please give him a chance. He deserves a second chance," Kabir stood up to leave.

He stopped near the door and turned back to Swara.

"One more thing. That night, he did not rape you," Kabir walked off.
