Legolas's POV

I saw my father's lifeless body as more tears brimmed at my eyes. I swear I've never cried this much in my entire life.

"I'm going to investigate." I stood up feeling numb.

"I'll come too." Valadhiel stood as I shook my head.

"No. It's too dangerous stay with my father." I snapped as she nodded understandingly.

I made my way to his room as I saw the desk filled with papers.  Nothing out of the ordinary.

Then there is the goblet with spilled wine. I touched it with my fingers and smelt it. It smelt like a poisonous herb.

He was poisoned

I bit my lip from trying to show any emotion. It wasn't fair. He shouldn't have come to this.

I saw a note next to the goblet as I picked it up.

Your father had to pay the price for discovering my secret. But it is also your price for interfering my plan.

Then it read two words I never wanted to hear.

She's next.

I called for the guards as they appeared

"I want you to search the kingdom. Look in every house in every hiding spot. Tauriel is a traitor. Among us. I want her alive!" I yelled as they ran searching the castle.

Tauriels POV

I just escaped the borders of Mirkwood. I would have to get an ally on my side. This isn't the end of me you'll see!
