A Quiet Rage
Do not ask the price I pay,
For in my head's a quiet rage.
Upon this bed I choose to stay,
Until we meet again one day.
Don't ask me if this payment's fair.
As my spirit's lifted in the air.
I take on more than my share.
The deed is done beyond repair,
The screaming demons in my head,
Fight me when I lay in bed,
Darken the path that lies ahead,
Telling me I'm already dead.
So when I choose this road to take,
Don't tell me you think it's a mistake.
The world is spinning way too fast,
I know I will no longer last.
The Earth is spinning round and round.
I'm as of now under the ground.
Do not worry as of this stage,
For in my head's a quiet rage.
