"Ash... Do you remember me?"

"Of course, Sere. How could I forget the cute straw hat girl?"

Serena turns a shade of red upon hearing that Ash called her cute.

Serena POV

I felt relieved that he didn't forget about me just like he promised. When we first met in the forest at Professor Oak's summer camp he helped me with my injured knee. I started developing feelings for him.

Tears started to fall from my eyes. I couldn't stop my tears as they started to fall from my eyes continuously.

"Sere... you are..."

I instantly hugged him and to my surprise, he returned the hug as he wrapped his arms around me. It feels so great.

"I am glad that you didn't forget about me," I whispered.

"I promised you after all. And I am happy that I reunited with you once again, Sere." He whispered.

Ash POV

The tears started to fall from her eyes continuously. She is crying.

"Sere you are...

Suddenly, Serena hugged me and I returned the hug.

It feels so warm. There is some weird feeling that I never felt before. My face started to heat up being so close to Serena.

"I am glad that you didn't forget about me." I heard Serena whisper.

Hearing that, tears fall from my eyes as well.

"I am happy that I reunited with you once again, Sere," I whispered.

"Me too." Serene

Third Person POV

Finally, Serena stops crying and relaxes in his arms.

Ash is also happy that they have finally reunited with each other after so many years. Ash and Serena stay in a hug for a while.

"I didn't want this moment to end. I wish that we stay in each other's arms forever. But luck is not on my side as I heard someone laughing." Serene thought.

Ash and Serena instantly let go of each other while blushing slightly and turned to see May and Dawn standing there.

Dawn looks at them with raised eyebrows like she wants to know what's going on, On the other hand, May is chuckling.

"Care to enlighten us on what's going on here and most importantly how you two knew each other?" May asked, pointing towards Ash and Serena.

"Well, we are childhood friends," Ash said simply.

Then Serena clarified how they met at Professor Oak Summer Camp in the Kanto Region but She had to move to the Kalos Region.

"So, we met each other after 8 years," Serena said happily.

"You two finally reunited after 8 years," May said.

"Hey, Serena!" Shauna shouted as she ran towards Serena.

"Serena, did you find your Eevee?" Trevor asked

"Yes, I found Eevee."

"Is Eevee okay?" Calem inquired.
"I was worried when Trevor and Tierno said that the Eevee ran away."

"Yeah, Eevee is totally fine," Serena said with a smile. "Anyway, Calem, I want to introduce you to Ash. He is my childhood friend from the Kanto Region."

"Hi, my name is Calem Xavier, nice to meet you." Calem smiled as he offered his hand for a handshake and Ash shook his hand.

"My name is Ash Ketchum, nice to meet you too." Ash smiled.

"Well, he seems like a nice guy." Ash thought.

"Hey, Ash, you live in Vaniville Town, right?" Serena asked.

"Yeah, but wait, how do you know?" Ash asked in bafflement.

"Because I also live there." Serena winked.

"That's great! Sere!" Ash yelled excitedly.

Then Serena told him that her home is just across the street.

"I am so happy that I also found out where she is living in Kalos." Ash thought.

Calem clenched his fist as he saw Serena talking to Ash while smiling.

Then Trevor and Tierno started asking questions about how many Pokemon Ash had.

Ash looked over to Calem and noticed that he was looking at him in anger.

"Well, it looks like I am wrong about him being a nice guy. That guy has some serious issues." Ash muttered to himself.

"Hey, Serena, I would like to talk to you," May said as everyone turned to look at her.

"Uh, what is it?" Serena asked confused.

"Not here. Let's go!" May whispered so that only Serena could hear then she grabbed Serena's hands and began to drag her away from the group.

"Wait, May!" Serena cried out.

"Bye, guys see you tomorrow." May waved her hands.

"Man, I wanted to talk to her more." Ash sighed as he saw May drag Serena away.

"We should get going too, it's already too late," Dawn said.

"Right, let's go!" Ash nodded

The whole group says goodbye to each other before walking away.

Serena POV

May dragged me away from the group,

"Hey, May wait up!"

I wanted to talk to Ash. What's wrong with her?

"Now, we can talk." May sighed in relief as she let go of my hands from her tight grip.

"Okay, what is it you wanna talk about that you have to drag me all the way here?"

"I have a question for you," May replied.

"Alright..."

May smiled widely which I don't like, "So... Do you like Ash?"

Wait! what?

"Think before you deny that. I saw you blushing during Ash's battle."

"You did..."

"Yup, so do you have feelings for him?"

I think for a moment before answering.

"Yeah, I have feelings for him."

"I knew it!" May shouted.

"May, lower your voice someone might hear us," I said as I looked around before turning to May.

May nodded then whispered, "So, when are you gonna confess?"

What? Is she serious?

"We just met today. And I am not even sure that he has feelings for me." I said.
But I felt disappointed.

Third Person POV

"Yeah, you are right about that," May said.

"After All this is Ash we are talking about. He is dense as a rock. I am feeling bad for her. Will she be able to break through his dense wall? Well, she is my best friend. I am gonna help her." May thought.

"Well, Serena, good luck, and if you need any advice just talk to me," May said as she put her hand on my shoulder.

"Uh, alright." I nodded. "But I was wondering, how did you know Ash?
You told me that the two met at Hoenn."

"His Pikachu got caught up in some bad guy's plan and he accidentally barbecued my bike with his electricity. That's how I met him. And at that time I chose my starter, so we just started traveling along with Max and Brock. One of Ash's friends." May explained.

"So, Ash traveled in the Hoenn Region?"

"Yup, he traveled to many regions. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova." May said.

"Mom, I am home!" Ash yelled as he arrived home.

"Welcome! Ash." Delia greeted.

"How was your first day at school?" Delia questioned Ash.

"It's great! and you won't believe who I met," Ash shouted excitedly.

"What! Did you meet your girlfriend?" Delia asked.

"No mom, I met Serena, my childhood best friend,"

"So you two met. That's great Ash."

"Yup,"

"Anyway, I invited some guests for tonight's dinner," Delia said with a smile.

"Guest?" Ash asked in curiosity.

Time Skip

Suddenly, the sound of a bell rang.

"Looks like the guest has arrived." Delia thought.

"Ash honey, can you open the door?"
Delia yelled from the kitchen.

"Uh, Okay, mom." Ash sauntered towards the door and opened it. He blinked in surprise as he saw Serena standing there.

"S-Sere,"

"U-uh hi... Ash."

"So, you are the guest?" Ash laughed.

"Y-yeah," Serena started to blush but hid her face from her hair.

"Why not come inside," Ash suggests.

"R-Right. I-I will do that." Serena stuttered.

Ash noticed that Serena's face was red.

"Are you okay, Sere? Your face is red. Do you have a fever?" Ash asked worriedly.

"I-It's nothing, Ash." Serena waved her hand in front of her.

"If you say so."

"Hey, Ash," Grace said as she walked toward them.

She hugs Ash tightly, "Ash! It's been so long since I last saw you. Good to see you. You have grown so much." Grace said while releasing Ash from the hug.

"Nice to meet you too, after so long."

Grace and Serena walked inside the house and sat on the sofa in the living room.

"Pika!" Pikachu introduces himself to Grace, Serena, and Eevee.

"Your Pikachu is so cute," Grace said.

"Eevee!"

"Nice to meet you, Pikachu," Serena said with a small smile.

"Pika!" Pikachu jumped on Serena's shoulder and nuzzled his cheeks.

"Wow, Pikachu really likes you," Dawn said.

"You think..."

"Pikachu likes to nuzzle his cheeks to the person he likes." Ash nodded.

"Thank you, Pikachu." Serena strokes Pikachu's head and he cheered.

"Pika!"

"Well, today is the day you two reunited. So, why not I made a big feast to celebrate this reunion." Delia announced happily as she clapped her hands.

"That's great, mom!" Ash cheered.

"Pika!"

"Delia, this is sure a great way to celebrate this reunion," Grace said as she agrees with Delia's advice to celebrate.

"Sure has," Delia said. "Dinner will be ready soon."

"Let me help with the preparation."
Grace said as she stood up.

Delia nodded then she and Grace walked to the kitchen. Dawn and Serena then started to talk with each other.

"Girls sure like to talk a lot," Ash murmured as he turned to look at Dawn and Serena.

After talking to Dawn I found out that Dawn was also his traveling companion. She traveled with Ash throughout the Sinnoh Region. Her dream is to become a coordinator.

From what Dawn and May told me, Ash already traveled to many different regions and competed in their Pokemon League to become a Pokemon Master. They also mentioned that Ash was a selfless person when he wants to earn the trust of people and Pokemon.

His never-give-up-attitude. He is very supportive of Dawn and his friend's dreams. Whenever they felt defeated, Ash always told them to never give up on their dream because he believes in them.

Dawn then told me that her bike was accidentally shocked by Ash's Pikachu.
Her story is the same as May's.

"Well, Dawn it was just an accident," Ash said.

"Pikachu! Pika pi!"

"May told me that her bike was shocked by Pikachu just like Dawn," Serena said.

"Just as I say it was an incident," Ash said.

"Yeahhhhh sure!" Dawn grinned.

Ash pouted which made Serena giggle.

Time skip

"Everyone! Dinner is ready!" Delia shouts from the kitchen.

"Awesome!" Ash's face lights up as he rushes toward the kitchen along with Pikachu which made Serena laughs.

Ash enters the kitchen and sits down on a chair and Pikachu jumps on the table.

After a few seconds, Serena, Grace, and Dawn came and sat down on the chair as well.

"Wow! Ms. Ketchum, the taste is so amazing." Serena said and she tasted the Soup with a spoon.

"You are right about that. The food is so delicious," Dawn said and nodded her head.

"Come on, you two are exaggerating," Delia said.

"No way, Delia! Those two are telling the truth. You are a great cook." Grace said.

"Mom, everyone is telling the truth."

"Pika!"

"Eevee!"

"See Delia, Pikachu and Eevee also agree with us," Grace said with a smile.

"Thanks, everyone," Delia said with a warm tone.

After the dinner

"I still remember those days when you two spent all day playing with each other. You two looked so cute together."
Delia said.

"You two finally met, I am glad that destiny brought you two together, Looks like you two were destined to meet," Grace smiled.

By sitting next to him, Serena took a glance at Ash. While Grace, Delia, Ash, and Dawn were busy talking with each other.

Then Grace started telling the story of Ash and Serena's childhood which made Ash smile slightly.

Looking at his smile made Serena feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She found his smile contagious so she instinctively smiled back at him. Serena then kept staring at him. She tried to, but couldn't avert her gaze from him. It was almost as if she was in a trance. It was the first time she got to look at Ash from up close.

She started inspecting every small feature about him. The Z mark on his cheek and his chocolate-brown eyes. His black raven hair. As she took in his features, she found herself blushing. She wanted to get to know him more.

Ash suddenly turns his head towards Serena and finds her staring at him. Serena blushed harder seeing that Ash is looking at her.

So, she quickly looked towards Pikachu to hide her blush. Serena strokes Pikachu's head and Pikachu cheers.

Then she caught sight of her mom who was smirking and Serena sighed.

"Don't tell me mom noticed that I was staring at Ash. Oh Arceus no, Mom will tease me later." Serena groans.

After 10 minutes

After dinner, Serena and her mom decided to go home. They are now standing at the doorway.

"Serena I would like to talk to you more."
Dawn said with a small smile.

"Me too, Dawn." Serena nodded.

"Bye, Sere. Let's meet tomorrow." Ash waved his hands.

"Sure. Bye, Ash," Serena said before walking with her mom to her house.

After saying goodbye to Serena and Grace, Ash said goodnight to his mom and started to walk upstairs.

"Today is the best day. I was finally able to meet Serena after so many years. And also found out that she is living across the street. The day doesn't get more exciting than this." Ash thought while walking to his room.

"Pika pi" Pikachu jumped on his shoulder.

"You are happy, too."

"Pika!" Pikachu shouted.
