Ash POV

I said goodbye to my mom and told her that we are visiting Professor Sycamore's lab.

As I started to walk we saw a Pokemon which I had never seen before.

I stop walking and look at the Pokemon, "By the look of it. It looks like a flying type."

"Pika!" Pikachu nods his head showing that he agrees with me.

The Pokemon flaps its wings and flies away to the trees.

I noticed another Pokémon which looked like a small Pikachu.

"I wish I had a Kalos Pokedex with me so I could find out more information about those Pokemon."

We continue to walk and see all types of new pokemon.

After about an hour of walking, we finally reached Lumiose City.

"Wow! Lumiose City is so big. Pikachu look, it's the Prism Tower,"

Pikachu only nods his head as he is too busy to view the City.

I looked at the map to check my surroundings in Lumiose City. I am not planning to get lost around here.

"Now! Which way to go? Where is the lab?" I rubbed the back of my neck while looking at the map. "This looks very confusing."

Pikachu tapped me on the shoulder to gain my attention then I turned to him.

"Pika," Pikachu said, pointing towards the Prism Tower.

"Thanks, Pikachu, that's a good idea!"

I started walking towards the Prism Tower with my buddy sitting on my shoulder.

"Wow! I have never seen that Pokemon before!" I was looking at the white furry Pokemon walking with its trainer.

I rushed around the city, taking in the sights of all the Kalos Pokemon, including Pokemon I've seen from other regions.

From all the wandering around, I found myself in front of Prism Tower, the Central attraction of Lumiose City.

In some ways, it was like many of the large cities I had seen throughout my travels, but what set this one apart was Prism Tower.

"Hey! wait up!"

I stopped at the sound of someone shouting. I looked around and found the little girl running toward us. The girl with blonde-haired and she is younger than me.

Pikachu jumps off my shoulder to see the girl.

"Wow! look at Pikachu." A girl cried out as she stopped near Pikachu.

"Stop Bonnie! don't run so fast." the boy yelled as he stopped to catch his breath.

"Big brother look, I have never seen Pikachu before! What a cutie!" The girl squealed.

The girl took Pikachu in her arms and started snuggling him.

"Look brother, he is so adorable." the girl said happily.

"Pi Pikachu..." Pikachu groaned.

She seems to be enjoying this, but Pikachu certainly does not.

"No stop, don't..." I tried to stop Pikachu from attacking the little girl but I was too late.

Pikachu used Thunderbolt and accidentally shocked the girl.

She fell to the ground and Pikachu jumped onto my shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay... little girl," I asked.

"Bonnie!!" The boy screamed as he came near her.

"What a shocking experience, your Pikachu's Thunderbolt is so strong." The girl laughed as she recovered.

"I am sorry about this," The boy bowed, then turned towards the girl. "Bonnie, you should apologize."

"No way, Clemont, I just wanted to hug Pikachu because he is so cute!" Bonnie pouts.

"My name is Clemont," Clemont said and gestured to the girl. "This is my little sister Bonnie."

"Nice to meet you and you too Pikachu and I am sorry Pikachu."

Then Pikachu climbed onto her shoulder and rubbed against her cheeks, showing that he forgives her.

"Aww, he is a friendly type of Pokemon," She said and patted Pikachu's head.

"Well, nice to meet you Clemont and Bonnie. My name is Ash Ketchum. I am from the Kanto Region and this is my buddy Pikachu." I introduced myself.

"Wow! Kanto Region! That is so far!" Bonnie said.

"So Ash, what brings you here to the Kalos region?" Clemont questioned.

Ash informed them that he and his mom are already moved here to Vaniville Town.

"You are a trainer, right? Are you entering the Kalos League?" Bonnie asked in a curious tone.

"Yes, my real plan is to enter the Kalos League. But I decided to attend the Kalos Academy."

"Really! I am also going to attend the Kalos Academy. That means we will be classmates." Clemont declared in an excited tone.

"That's awesome!"

"Pika pi! Pika!"

I nodded. "Can you show me the way to Professor Sycamore's lab?"

"Of course, we know where the lab is, we will take you there," Clemont said.

"That's great! thanks,"

"Stop! I want to see Pikachu in battle." Bonnie exclaimed out of nowhere.

"I think that's a good idea." I nodded then turned to Clemont, "Well, Clemont, can I have a battle with you."

"Uh, are you sure?" Clemont asked in a nervous tone.

"Yeah, this will be my first battle in the Kalos Region," I said with a small smile. "And I can't wait to have my first battle here."

"Alright," Clemont agreed.

"There is a battlefield in the nearby park," Bonnie said as she started to run toward the park.

Third Person POV

Ash and Clemont stand on the opposite side of the battlefield ready to battle.
Then Bonnie announced that she wants to act as a referee, and both of them agreed.

"Alright, Bunnelby! It's time to battle."

Clemont threw his Pokeball towards the battlefield and a grey and brown rabbit came out.

"Cool! I have never seen that Pokemon before! Alright, Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash said.

Pikachu went onto the battlefield excitedly for his first battle in Kalos Region.

"Let's begin the battle!!" Bonnie raised her hands.

"Alright! Pikachu, let's start with Thunderbolt!" Ash shouted.

Pikachu releases a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from its body toward Bunnelby.

Bunnelby uses its long ears to use sand into the air which blocks the Thunderbolt.

"What?" Ash said in shock.

"Now! Bunnelby, use Dig!" Clemont shouted.

Bunnelby jumps in the air and drills a hole into the ground with its ears and goes underneath.

"Pikachu, use Quick attack to try to avoid the attack," Ash said.

Bunnelby then pops up from the ground and is about to strike its opponent from underneath but Pikachu runs at a fast speed and a white or light blue outline surrounds Pikachu's body and dodges the attack.

"Bunnelby! use Double-slap!"

Bunnelby's ears glow white and it is ready to attack Pikachu with them. But Pikachu flew backward and managed to dodge the hit.

"Bunnelby mainly attacks with its powerful ears and I think I know how to counter them." Ash thought.

"Now! Iron Tail!" Ash yelled.

"I don't think so," Clemont said.

"Bunnelby! grab it!" Clemont shouted.

Pikachu's tail glows white or metallic grey, and he hits the opponent but Bunnelby catches Pikachu's Iron tail with his ears and blocks the attack.

"It's just what I expected." Ash thought.

"It worked," Clemont said in a hopeful tone.

Ash grinned, "I am glad that you caught Pikachu's tail now Bunnelby can't use his ears."

"What?" Clemont asked in shock.

"Alright! Pikachu! Electro Ball!" Ash said.

Pikachu's body becomes surrounded by yellow electricity and multiple yellow sparks come off Pikachu's body.

All the electricity is then absorbed by Pikachu's tail and Pikachu forms an orange-yellow orb of electricity in his tail and hurls it towards Bunnelby and an explosion occurs. Bunnelby was knocked backward unconscious.

"I can't believe the big brother's loss. Ash is a strong trainer." Bonnie thought.

"Bunnelby is unable to battle, which means Ash and Pikachu are the winners of this match," Bonnie said.

"Your Pikachu is really strong." Clemont is complimented, after returning Bunnelby to its Pokeball.

"Thanks,"

"Wow, You and Pikachu are amazing,"
Bonnie exclaimed happily. "Now, we should go to Professor Sycamore's lab," Bonnie said excitedly as she began running.

"Not again," Clemont complained.

"Come on! Ash! Professor Sycamore's lab is nearby." Bonnie called as she continues to run ahead.

"Bonnie! slow down,"

Ash looked behind and finds out that Clemont stopped walking to catch his breath.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, you go ahead, Ash," Clemont replied and Ash nodded his head.

After 5 minutes of sprinting, they arrive at Professor Sycamore's lab.

"Hello! Professor Sycamore," Bonnie shouted as she entered the lab.

"Bonnie, how are you?" Professor Sycamore asked.

"Great, Professor Sycamore. Bonnie exclaimed happily. "And there is someone who wants to meet you."

"Who?"

"Me," Ash said as he entered the lab.

"Ha, You must be Ash Ketchum, right?" Professor Sycamore asked. "Professor Oak informed me that you are coming today."

Finally, Clemont entered the lab, "Finally..." Clemont started to get deep breaths.

"Nice to see you, Clemont." Professor Sycamore said with a smile.

"Nice to see you too, Professor."

"Yes, my name is Ash Ketchum and this is my buddy, Pikachu."

"Marvellous and Professor Oak told me that you want to learn about Mega Evolution."

"Wow, Mega Evolution!" Bonnie shouted.

"Do you have Pokemon who can Mega Evolve?" Clemont tilted his head.

"I do have a Charizard. Key stone and Mega stone." Ash smiled.

"Can you show me please, please?" Bonnie said with sparkling eyes.

Ash takes out the small box from his backpack which contains Key Stone and Mega Stone. Ash shows it to Bonnie.

"Wow, it looks beautiful," Bonnie said.

Someone came from inside the research room and when he heard about Mega Evolution he started to take interest in the conversation.

Professor Sycamore walks to a nearby desk to get the Pokedex.

"So, you want to learn about Mega Evolution?" Someone asked.

Everyone looks in the direction of the voice and sees a tall man with orange hair standing there.

Before Ash could answer Professor Sycamore came back with the Pokedex.

"Hey, Ash, I want to give you the latest version of the Pokedex."

"Cool!" Ash takes the Pokedex in his hand. "Thanks, Professor!"

"And I want to introduce you to my friend, his name is Lysandre and he is a Mega Evolution researcher." Professor Sycamore said.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Ash Ketchum and this is my buddy Pikachu."

"Pika!"

"Nice to see a young trainer like yourself who wants to achieve and learn about mega evolution," Lysandre said.

"Why don't you all go to the field, I will be there in a minute. Then I can explain about mega evolution." Professor Sycamore suggested and everyone agrees.

Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie walked toward the field.

"Wow, Garchomp!" Ash said and he walked towards Garchomp.

Suddenly one of Ash's Pokeball started to shake and Gible came out of the Pokeball.

"Gible, what are you doing?"

"Gible!

"You want to see Garchomp?" Ash asked and Gible nodded his head.

"Gible! it looks cute!" Bonnie shouted as she extended her hands to grab it in her arms but Gible jumped and bites on Bonnie's head.

"Gible!" Ash said.

"Oh no, Bonnie!" Her brother said worriedly.

Bonnie laughed, as she is assuring her brother that she is alright.

"You'd need a really strong bond between you and your Pokemon, and two stones: a keystone and a mega stone. When the KeyStone has activated the Pokemon corresponding Mega Stone reacts to its starting the process,"

Professor Sycamore continues "There are different mega stones for different Pokemon, not every Pokemon can mega evolve," Professor Sycamore explained. "For example, Charizard's mega stone is Charizardite, and depending on the Charizardite you have, Charizard has two different mega evolutions."

"Wait! Two mega evolutions?" Ash asked in surprise.

"Yes, the Charizard has two mega evolutions, Mega Charizard X and Y. Mega Charizard Y, when it mega evolves its type won't change. On the other hand when Charizard Mega Evolves into Mega Charizard X then its type changes to Dragon."

"That's great!" Ash shouted. "So, how about my Mega Stone? Is it for Mega Charizard X or Y?" Ash asked as he showed the mega stone to Professor Sycamore.

"You will get your answer when you mega-evolve your Charizard." Professor Sycamore chuckled.

"Alright," Ash grumbled.

"After some practice and battles with strong Pokemons then you can Mega Evolve your Charizard. But before that make sure that you have a strong bond with your Pokemon, if not the Pokemon loses control." Professor Sycamore said. "But, As I can see, you sure have a strong bond with your Pokemon."

After saying goodbye to Professor Sycamore, they decided to go to the Pokemon Centre so that Ash can register for the Kalos League. Ash asks them for directions but Bonnie insists that they will come along with him.

As they run towards the Pokemon Centre, Clemont falls to his knees and tells them to stop running.

"Oh, come on brother! Even Slowpoke is faster than you." Bonnie told her brother.

At the Pokemon Centre

"You are registered for the Kalos League."

"You are all set for the Kalos League. Good luck!" Nurse Joy said with a smile.

"Thanks, Nurse Joy," Ash said as he took his Pokedex.

After Ash registered for the league, they were about to say goodbye when we heard a roar in the distance.

"What was that sound? A Pokemon?" I asked.

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and there was a Garchomp gliding through the sky.

"It's a Garchomp! But there is something strange about it," Clemont said.

It was flying around frantically and crashing into nearby buildings. That was when I noticed its eyes were glowing red and it was wearing a collar around its neck. It saw us and suddenly used Hyper Beam. We avoided the attack and then Garchomp took off toward Prism Tower.

"That was dangerous! Why did it attack us?" Bonnie questioned.

"Is everyone here alright?" A voice asked.

We turned around to see Professor Sycamore walking towards us.

"Professor Sycamore! Don't tell me that was your Garchomp?" I asked.

"Sadly she is my Garchomp," Professor Sycamore said. "Strange people came to my lab and put that collar around her neck. It made her lose control and she fled my lab."

"What happened to those people?" I asked.

"Unfortunately, those people disappeared as well when they were unable to control her," Sycamore explained.

"That's horrible. And who would want to do that to Garchomp." Bonnie said sadly.

"That's unforgivable. No one should ever do that to a Pokemon. And Garchomp didn't have to suffer like that." Ash thought.

"I am going to help Garchomp!" Ash announced.

"But how?" Clemont asked.

"We need to get that collar off of Garchomp. I am sure that the collar is the reason why Garchomp loses control."

"If you're going to help Garchomp then you should take it with you." Professor Sycamore said and points to the Pokemon that has been following him.

"What's that Pokemon?" Ash asked because he never saw that Pokemon before.

"This is Froakie. He is a Water-type and a starter Pokemon of the Kalos Region. He is really worried about Garchomp and wants to help him." Sycamore clarified.

Froakie stared at Ash, waiting for his response. Ash could see the determination in his eyes.

"Alright! Froakie, let's go help Garchomp, together." Ash said as he started to walk.

"Pika!"

"Froa!!" Froakie nodded and he followed Ash and Pikachu to go after Garchomp at Prism Tower.

"Wait for us!" Bonnie shouted then she and Clemont decided to follow Ash.

Serena POV

I returned home after a shopping spree with Shauna.

"Mom, I am back."

Eevee quickly jumped off my arms and ran to the sofa so, that she could rest.

As I enter the house and notices that Mom was watching the television.

She looked at the television, there was some kind of show.

"Hey, Mon, what kind of show is this?" I asked as she sat down on the couch beside Mom. "It looks intense."

"It's not a show. It's happening live in Lumiose City. There is a rampaging Garchomp on the loose and it's attacking Prism Tower," Grace explained.

"There is some guy on Prism Tower too! Maybe he is a Garchomp's trainer!" The Reporter said.

I looked at the television and watched the raven-haired boy climbing Prism Tower with Pikachu and Froakie.

I watched the boy on the news and I feel like I recognise him from somewhere.

What's wrong, Serena? You looked concerned.

Grace said looking at her daughter.

I shake my head, "Oh, it's nothing,"

I returned my gaze to the television and saw that the boy was slowly moving toward the Garchomp.

I had a feeling that I knew him and we had met before.

As I looked closely at the boy and I felt like I recognized him from somewhere.

"Wait... I remember him now. Is it really him?"

Ash POV

How am I supposed to get up to the Prism Tower? Garchomp was standing on the middle ledge of the tower and firing attacks at random parts of Lumiose City.

And what's worse is that Garchomp was aiming at people. I need to stop Garchomp before it accidentally ends up hurting someone.

"Ash! Wait for us!" Bonnie shouts.

I turned around and I saw Bonnie sprinting towards us with Clemont, who looked so exhausted.

"Give me... like... five minutes to rest," Clemont said while breathing heavily.

"Are you okay, Clemont?"

"I am fine," Clemont assured me.

We heard Garchomp letting out painful growls and then it started shooting Hyper Beam at a news helicopter that was flying around the city.

"I have to get up there and get that collar off of Garchomp," I said, clenching my fists.

"But that's too dangerous!" Clemont warned him.

"No. Garchomp is the one in danger! If I don't do something, who knows what will happen?" I said. "And I don't want people to believe Garchomp is a bad Pokemon."

Clemont thought about the situation and nodded in understanding, "I know how you can get to Garchomp. Follow me."

We followed Clemont to the back of the Prism Tower. He placed his hand on the control panel and eyed the door behind him.

"There is an emergency stairwell through the door that goes up the tower. It's a good thing I always carry my backpack around," Clemont said as he adjusted his glasses.

"What do you mean?" I asked with a confused look.

"The future is now, thanks to science! Clemontic Gear On! Aipom Arm Go!" Clemont pushed the button on his backpack strap.

A robotic Aipom Arm suddenly came out of

Clermont's backpack unlocked the control panel, changing the light from red to blue.

"There we go! Now we can get in!" Clemont said proudly.

"Wow! Science is so amazing!" Pikachu and I sparkle our eyes.

"Yeah, but, come on! Garchomp needs us!" Bonnie exclaimed.

As my Pokemon and I walked through, Garchomp suddenly shot Hyper Beam below the tower, causing parts of the building to collapse behind me and separate me from them.

"Clemont! Bonnie! Are you guys okay?" Ash asked worriedly.

"We are okay!" Clemont said through the hole in the rubble.

"Just go on ahead! We will find a way to meet up with you!"

"Alright! Let's go, Pikachu! Froakie!"

My Pokemon and I began to run up the stairs and arrived at the platform where Garchomp is standing.

"Garchomp! Listen to me! You gotta calm down! I want to help you!" I yelled along with Pikachu and Froakie.

Garchomp heard my voice and it suddenly shot Hyper Beam at us. Though we managed to dodge its attack, it flew up to the top of the Prism Tower. I looked around and found a ladder going up to the top.

"Pikachu! Froakie! Get on my shoulders!"

The two Pokemon hopped onto my shoulders and I began to climb up the ladder.

Once we got to the top of Prism Tower, I faced Garchomp who was firing multiple Hyper Beams around Lumiose City.

"I am here to help you, Garchomp."

Serena POV

"Unbelievable! That boy has climbed to the top of the Prism Tower! Will he be able to calm down Garchomp?" The reporter announced.

"I am sure that the boy will be able to get Garchomp to calm down before things get out of hand," I heard Mom said.

I secretly admired him and how he is taking the risk to save everyone in Lumoise City.

How he went up to the tower to save Garchomp! Only a person who truly loves Pokemon would do what he is doing!

As I resumed watching and noticed that the boy was walking towards Garchomp trying to calm down Garchomp.

"Please, stay safe."

Ash POV

We barely escaped with only a few scratches after Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam.

Feeling threatened, Pikachu was about to attack, but I stopped him from doing so. I assured Pikachu that we can stop Garchomp without using any retaliation.

"We need to get that collar off."

"Pika!" Pikachu nodded.

"Garchomp! Can you hear me? I know that it hurts and I want to help you to get the collar off," I said. "Once we get that collar off, you can return to normal. We can go back to Professor Sycamore. So what do you say?"

Garchomp was fighting and struggling against the collar's power until it unknowingly began to back up towards the ledge.

"Garchomp!" I screamed.

I almost felt hopeless as I see Garchomp stumbling backward, but Froakie acted quickly and used his Frubbles to glue Garchomp's feet, keeping them in one place.

"Great work, Froakie! Now we gotta get that collar off!" I exclaimed.

I jumped onto Garchomp with my arms around its neck. Garchomp attempted to shake me off, but there is no way I am letting go.

"Now! Pikachu, use Iron Tail on the collar." I commanded.

Pikachu's tail glowed white and he struck his tail onto the collar. The collar had fallen off and Garchomp's eyes were no longer glowing red. It had finally calmed down.

"You are fine now, Garchomp," I assured it while petting its head.

Pikachu and Froakie were glad to see that Garchomp was fine and ran toward us. However, Pikachu caused part of the ledge to crumble beneath him and he fell off the tower.

"Pikachu!" I cried.

Without a second thought, I jumped off the tower and managed to get a hold of Pikachu.

I thought of calling out to Charizard for help because he is the one who will help us.

As I was about to reach Charizard's Pokeball but stopped, as I felt someone or something grab a hold of me. I opened my eyes and it was a Pokemon.

"It's Blaziken. A Blaziken that I have never seen before..."

Serena POV

My heart almost dropped as I saw the boy holding his Pikachu falling from the Prism Tower. Then it was at that moment when a figure swooped in and saved them. It was revealed to be Mega Blaziken that caught them.

"Oh, what a relief," I sighed.

"Though that boy is amazing. Going all out to save his Pikachu, as well as Garchomp. It's pretty admirable." I said with a small smile.

"Yeah,"

Ash POV

When we reached safe grounds, Blaziken placed me down. I turned towards the strange Blaziken with Pikachu in my arms.

"Thanks a lot, Blaziken!"

I then noticed a Mega stone in Blaziken arms. It nodded and then took off toward the top of a building. It landed next to a masked man who was dressed similarly to Blaziken.

I saw Blaziken turning back to its original form and they disappeared from my sight.

"I wonder who that was," I pondered.

All of the sudden, the news media started to surround me. They had microphones pointed toward me and I was blinded by camera flashes.

"That was amazing what you did!" A Reporter said.

"You calmed down Garchomp and risked your life to save your Pikachu! Not to mention that the famous Blaziken Mask also appeared!"

So that Masked man named Blaziken Mask?

"So, what's your name, young man?" Another reporter asked.

"U-uh, my name is Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town," I answered while scratching my cheek.

I wasn't used to being interviewed and the reporters kept bombarding me with questions.

I hope I get out of this paparazzi soon.

Serena POV

"My name is Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town,"

When the boy said his name on the news, it immediately hit me. I knew it was him!

"I gotta leave."

Ash then took off running then the media followed him.

I giggled when I saw him running away from the media as they were chasing after him.

Ash POV

After getting away from the media, I found Clemont, Bonnie, and Professor Sycamore waiting for me at the same park. I guess they knew I would be attacked by the media.

"You nearly had us worried there Ash," Clemont complained.

"I am glad that Blaziken caught you in time! But I can't believe how brave you are when it comes to Pokemon," Bonnie complimented.

"Thanks, Bonnie," I said as I scratched the back of my head.

I will do anything for Pokemon even if it means risking my life for them.

"Ash, I want to thank you for everything! I wouldn't know what to do if you weren't here to help my Garchomp." Professor Sycamore said.

"It's nothing! I am just glad Garchomp is alright,"

"As thanks, I want to give you this." Sycamore handed me a Pokeball.

"A Pokeball?" I asked in confusion.

"This is Froakie's Pokeball. I would like to give you Froakie." He said and Froakie appeared from behind him.

"Are you sure? Isn't Froakie a starter Pokemon given to new trainers?"

"Correct, but actually, Froakie had previous trainers and it's been rough for him to settle with a trainer that he deems worthy," Sycamore explained. "But when Froakie saw how you helped Garchomp, he grew fond of you and he wanted to become your partner."

"Froakie!" Froakie approached me and shouted.

I smiled and knelt in front of him." You wanna come with me, Froakie?"

He ran up to me and pushed the button on the Pokeball. The Pokeball shook three times before it sparkled, indicating Froakie's capture.

As always, I did my signature pose.

"Yes! I caught a Froakie!" I raised my arm with a Pokeball upwards and Pikachu cheered.

"I entrust you with Froakie, Ash. I hope you meet his expectations." Sycamore said.

I waved goodbye to my new friends and walk towards the routes of Vaniville Town.

He is the same boy who helped me at Professor Oak's Summer Camp. His name is Ash.
