It was Thursday and Ash and Serena were sitting in their third lesson which is Pokemon Evolution.

Ash was very fidgety as he listened to Professor Rowan lecture about what Pokemon evolve when they reach certain levels and how much experience they may need to do so. None of that mattered to him if he was being honest. All he knew, when it came to that, was that if you worked hard with your Pokemon, eventually they would evolve if they wanted to. Even then, some Pokemon were capable of evolving and didn't want to, but remained quite strong. Pikachu was a perfect example that evolution wasn't necessary for a Pokemon to be strong.

"Just like Eevee, who evolved into seven different Eeveelution. If you raised your Eevee with care and love. It can evolve into Sylveon which is a Fairy type." Professor Rowan said.

It took Ash's interest as he never heard about that Eeveelution before.

"I never heard of the Eeveelution, before," Ash said.

"We should check the information in the Pokedex," Serena suggests.

"That's a great idea." Ash nodded.

Serena took out her Pokedex to learn more about Sylveon.

Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokémon. Sylveon affectionately wraps its ribbon-like feelers around its Trainer's arm as they walk together. If it places its feelers on its Trainer, Sylveon can understand their emotions.

"Wow, Sylveon looks so cute!" Ash said.

"Pika!"

Eevee watched the Pokedex with stars in her eyes.

"I wonder what type of Eeveelution Eevee wants to evolve into?" Serena thought as she petted Eevee's head.

"Eevee!" Eevee cheered.

Professor Rowan explained a bit more about Pokemon Evolution and after that the bell rang, they had a small break before the 4th lesson of the day started.

Serena quickly went over to where she agreed to meet up with May and Shauna. As she arrived, they were already waiting for her.

"Okay Serena, what did you want to tell us?" May asked hurriedly.

"Will you stop shouting, I don't want everyone to know," Serena said.

"Fine, now tell me." May nodded.

"Alright... Yesterday we went to make a pokevision video." Serena starts.

"Yeah, what about it?" Shauna tilted her head to the side.

"Well, yesterday Ash asked me on a date."

"He did what?!" May shouted in shock.

"Hey, May keep it down," Serena whispered.

"You said yes, Right?" May perks up.

"I did. I said. "Sure I would love to go on a date with you."

"That's great, Serena. Congratulation!" May said.

They both started giggling while Shauna continued, "I didn't expect that because as you know, he is dense."

May nodded her head in agreement, "Me too. Looks like he is not dense anymore."

"I am so happy for you Serena," Shauna said with a small smile

"Thanks, Shauna,"

"When is it?" May asked.

"This Sunday," Serena beamed.

They talked a little bit, after that the bell rang and they went to their next lesson.

What Serena, May and Shauna didn't know was that Calem heard their conversation and clenched his hand into a fist.

"Why did she agree to go on a date with him? What's so special about him anyway?" Calem thought.

Serena POV

During the fourth lesson, I looked over my phone and noticed that I had a message from Calem.

Hi, Serena. Can you meet up with me during Lunch break? I wanna talk to you.

Okay. I sent the message.

"I wonder what he wants to talk about."

The lesson went by quickly which meant it was time for a lunch break. Everyone hurriedly walked out of the classroom.

"Uh, hi, Serena,"

"Hi, Calem," I said as Calem entered the classroom.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Serena asked.

"It's nothing. I just wanted to talk to you."

"Okay," Serena nodded.

"It's just that. I heard you are going on a date with Ash."

"Thanks, May for shouting."

"Yeah... About that... Yesterday Ash asked me on a date."

"What did you say?" Calem questioned.

"I say yes."

"Why?"

"What do you mean?"

"How could you do this?!" Calem shouted as he grabbed my wrist tightly. "Why did you say yes?"

"Because I love him," Serena answered.

"So, that's how it is, huh? You are going to betray me." Calem said as he tightened his grip.

"Calem, what are you doing? You are hurting me. Aaa...let go..." I started, but he cut me off.

"Why him, Serena! We've been friends for a long time."

I winced in pain.

"Calem... I don't understand. What are you talking about?" I asked as I tried to lighten the grip on my wrist.

"What you don't know." Calem raised an eyebrow.

"Eevee!" Eevee growled in anger.

Calem realised that he was hurting me and he quickly let go of my hand.

Calem shakes his head, "You don't even understand how I feel..." He stopped himself from saying any further and walked away.

I watched him disappear from my sight, as I sighed in relief.

"What is he talking about? Don't tell me that he is jealous that I'm going on a date with Ash. But why? Does he have feelings for me?" I thought.

I observed my wrist to see bright red marks, Calem had gripped it very tight.

"Eevee!" Eevee said.

"I am fine Eevee. It's just a bruise." I assured her. "And thanks for helping me."

I petted Eevee's head.

"Eev Eevee!" Eevee cheered.

I looked at the clock and realised that the lunch break was almost over, So I ate my lunch at the class. After a minute, the bell rang which meant that the Lunch break was over.

"We should go to our next lesson."

"Eevee." Eevee agrees with me.

Ash POV

I didn't see Serena during Lunch Break. After lunch break ended. I walked towards my fifth lesson. I am sure Serena will be there. As I walk through the hallway, I see Serena walking ahead of me.

"Sere! Wait!" I shouted and she turned towards me with a smile.

"Uh, hi, Ash, I was just walking to the fifth lesson. Sorry, I didn't meet you during Lunch break."

"It's okay, Sere. I am glad I found you here. Where were you during Lunch break and..." I paused when I noticed that her right hand was bruised.
"What happened to your hand? Are you injured?" I inquired.

"O-oh, this?" Serena looked away and hid her hand. "I was practising during Lunch break and I ended up hurting myself."

"Oh, okay. Let me take a look."

"It's nothing, Ash." She assured me. "I am planning to see Nurse Joy afterwards, so don't worry about me."

"If you say so..."

"I assure you, Ash, it's nothing. It's just a bruise." Serena insisted.

"Okay." Ash nodded.

Serena smiled and I smiled back."Now, we should go to our class."

Serena nodded and we went to our fifth lesson of the day.

The lesson continues and I look towards Serena, who is staring out of the window while in deep thought.

As the lesson ends. Serena said bye to me and went to her performance class.

Once Serena disappeared from my sight, my smile dropped. I knew that she was not telling the truth. When I ask her she averts her gaze. I am now really worried about her.

Time Skip

After saying bye to Ash, Serena walked to her class while thinking.

"Calem never acted like that before. Does he have feelings for me?" Serena thought.

Serena's thoughts were cut off by May's shouts.

"Wait a minute... I need to talk to you, Serena." May said as she dragged Serena away.

"What is it May?" Serena raised an eyebrow.

"I know that you didn't hurt your hand during practice. Tell me the truth. Who hurt you?" May narrowed her eyes.

"I know that I wouldn't be able to lie because she will be able to find out that I am lying. So I tell her the truth." Serena thought.

Serena sighs in defeat, "C-Calem..."

"What? But why?" May widened her eyes.

"Calem heard our conversation... about a date. And I think... he has feelings for me... he was angry that I agreed to go on a date with Ash."

"I am gonna talk to him. How dare he hurt my best friend." May shouted in anger.

"No, you don't! Just forget about it. I don't want Ash to know about this." Serena said while looking at her feet, she then turned to May. "And I am sure Calem won't tell anyone."

May thought for a moment then nodded, "Okay."

After the last lesson, Ash met up with Serena outside of her class. As they walked towards the bus stop, Serena suggested that they should walk instead of taking the bus and Ash agreed.

Both Ash and Serena made their way home until they heard a voice.

"Stop right there!"

Both Ash and Serena turned their head around to see who it was.

"Are you Ash Ketchum?" The boy asked.

"Yes," Ash replied.

"That's good." The boy said with a small smile.
