Rishi was wandering around the first years' block.

"You can recognise her, don't you?" Rishi asked and Ajay shot an annoyed look at him.

Ajay didn't like what Ahana did. And he doesn't want Rishi to hurt an innocent girl.

"Ajay, I am asking-" Before he could finish the sentence, someone bumped into him.

Rishi smirked. It is not something new. Girls bumping into him as if by accident. He is quite used to it. Every time a girl comes and bumps into him, it just boosts his ego.

Now, she will look at him and blush, he thought with a chuckle.

"I am sorry" the voice didn't have the usual ring of nervousness in it. Instead, it was neutral. Rishi frowned.

He looked down at her and saw that she was taking her phone from the floor. The screen had broken. She looked at it and sighed. Then she kept it in her bag and walked away.

Rishi stared at the girl walking away with his mouth open. The girl didn't even look at him once.

Who the hell is this girl who walked away from Rishi without a second glance. Not even the first glance, he thought with disbelief.

"Who the hell is she?" Rishi asked, his ego taking a huge dent.

"It's her," Ajay said grudgingly.

"Her as in Who?" Rishi asked in an annoyed tone.

"Chaahat Bhatra. The one Ahana spoke about" Ajay said.

Damn it! He missed a chance.

"I didn't even see her face," Rishi said in disappointment.

Even if for the bet, he has to get the girl into his bed. He just needs to know if she is pretty enough to sleep with.

"She didn't look at you. Then how can you see her face" Ajay teased, making Rishi more furious.

Throwing a furious look in his best friend's way, Rishi ran in the direction Chaahat left.

He saw her about to enter the first year's lecture room.

"Hey, you!" He called out loudly and everyone in the corridor turned to look at him, including Chaahat.

Chaahat realised the guy was looking at her. She frowned, because she didn't understand why he was calling out to her.

She already went through two rounds of ragging since she entered the college campus.

She let out a resigned sigh and turned to face the guy who was walking towards her.

Rishi frowned seeing the look on her face. Not an expression he is used to seeing in a girl's face when he is around.

"Yes?" She asked wearily.

From what Ahana told him, he had thought the girl to be someone unattractive.

The girl is wearing some worn out clothes. And the shapeless Kurti doesn't do much to enhance her structure.

But that face.

What a gorgeous face. Without an ounce of make up on her face.

"Yes?" Chaahat asked once again, seeing the guy staring at her weirdly.

"Uh. You bumped into me in the corridor" Rishi said, pasting his charming smile on his face.

"I apologise " Chaahat said and turned around to get into the class.

No wonder Ahana said it would take one month. The girl is a bit tough. But hey, nothing is too tough for Rishi, he thought with a smirk.

Rishi watched the girl walking away.

Very soon, you will be running behind me, Ms Chaahat Bhatra, he thought with a smirk and left from there.

Chaahat frowned. Why was that guy looking at her like that? As if he has some plan in his mind.

"Hey. Myself Ishitha. You are?" The girl sitting next to her asked with a smile.

Soon, Chaahat got settled in her college. She made new friends for the first time in her life.

And Rishi Verma, the bad boy of the University has made it a habit to follow her around always. Trying to strike a friendship with her.

In the beginning, Chaahat had found it irritating, later on a part of her started looking forward to his charming talks.

But his reputation is not something that let her open up.

"Hey, look. He is coming" Ishitha said, pointing at Rishi and Ajay coming towards their table in the canteen.

"Hey Chaahat," Rishi greeted with a smile, as he took a seat across from her.

"Hello," Chaahat said with a neutral smile. She didn't want to be one among his many girlfriends, if that's what he wants.

She has no idea why he is following around her everywhere. He never made a wrong move against her either. So it is very confusing.

"There's a party this weekend, Chaahat. I would love it if you could attend it. It's being held in our farmhouse" Rishi said and Chaahat stiffened.

Party! Farmhouse! Doesn't it all sound shady?

What if he is planning to spike her drink and rape her?

"Uh I am sorry, I am busy this weekend" Chaahat said, pasting a smile on her face.

Rishi clenched his teeth. What does it take to break this girl?

It's already been three weeks and there's no progress. She is a tough nut to crack.

"May I know what you are busy with?" Rishi asked with a fake smile.

"I am visiting my family on Sunday" Chaahat lied with no remorse.

"Sunday? The party is on Saturday evening. You can definitely attend" Rishi said, immediately changing his Sunday plans to Saturday.

"I won't be-" Chaahat again tried to deny.

"No excuses. You are coming. Bring your friend too" Rishi said, pointing at Ishitha, and left quickly.

"He is so persistent," Ishitha said, looking at Rishi, who was walking away from him.

"Not persistent enough to change my mind" Chaahat said with a shrug.

"You are not attending the party?" Ishitha asked.

"Of course no. Who is he to give me orders?" Chaahat said and stood up from the chair to leave the canteen. Ishitha followed suit.

As they neared the college building, Chaahat stopped on her tracks hearing her name.

She looked in that direction and saw a few friends of Rishi there, talking about her.

She hid behind a pillar and listened to what they were talking about.

"I didn't realise Rishi would go to such an extend of changing his party plans to win a bet. Chaahat must be the first bet he would be losing" A girl said.

"Rishi never loses a bet. He will make her propose to him in front of the whole college as he challenged" Ahana said with a smirk.

Chaahat felt numb!

Now she has got answers for all her questions.
