Kai and Kyungsoo walked hand in hand together to their favorite coffee shop. They never let each others smiles wipe off their face as they laughed along the way.

Kai stuffed his hands in his pockets walking alone to his once favorite coffee shop. His blank face expression never leaving his face as he trailed along the way.

Kai held the door for Kyungsoo not before slapping his butt in the process.

Kai opened the door to the coffee shop and walked in not caring if there was anyone behind him.

"Kai! Not now" Kyungsoo giggled as his cheeks grew a light tinge of pink. Kai smirked placing his hand around his waist holding him tight.

"Hey have a little respect and hold the door for your elders!" an old man shouted at Kai.

"I want people to know this ass belongs to me and me only" Kai muttered in his ear nibbling on it gently. Kyungsoo had to hold back a moan Kai well aware of his sweet spot.

Kai stood there emotionless not bothering to answer back. He didn't have time to waste on such nonsense.

"Shut up and buy me coffee" Kyungsoo ordered pushing Kai off him and taking a seat by the window at their usual spot.

The old man just shook his head and took a seat by the window next to an old lady who he smiled at.

Kai ordered two caramel mochas with two muffins on the side knowing Kyungsoo loves the muffins here.

"Two black coffees and tw- one muffin" Kai caught himself. Tears were starting to well up in his eyes but he rapidly blinked them away.

Kai grabbed his order from the lady and quickly paid rushing over to his hungry mate. Kyungsoo beamed up seeing the muffins in view.

Kai quickly paid and grabbed his order walking off to the far corner of the small cafe and sat down waiting for his arrival to appear. His eyes roamed around the cafe and noticed the same old man from earlier beaming up at the old woman.

"I swear you love the muffins here more than me" Kai pouted taking a seat directly in front of him. Kyungsoo chuckled and gave Kai a peck on the lips.

"Nothing can ever be more lovable than you. Nothing can ever replace the feelings that I have for you."

The old man left a kiss on each of her palms and held them close to his heart.

"Do you feel that Hauri? Do you feel my heart that still beats for you all these years?"

Kai smiled as he caressed Kyungsoo's cheek and stared deeply into his big doe eyes that he so much adored. His eyes then travelled to the silver chain necklace that was placed around his neck by Kai himself on their first year anniversary.

Hot tears flowed down Kai's cheeks as he tore his gaze away from them. Kai immediately wiped them away with the hem of his shirt coming into contact with his silver chain necklace.

"I'll always be your heart Kai. If we spilt apart so would my heart so please don't leave me."

"You have always been my heart Kyungsoo and always will be. We use to be a connected heart but now we're just parallel lines going in our own paths" Kai whispered grasping his half heart necklace tighly in his hand.

Kai grabbed Kyungsoo and pulled him into his lap not caring about the stares they were getting. Kai connected his cut in half heart chain with Kyungsoo's both having a K engraved fitting perfectly.

K + K standing for Kai plus Kyungsoo and equals to love when their together but when apart they are broken.

"I promise my precious angel."

Kai looked at the cursive engraved K and rubbed over it gently admiring it from every angle possible. Kai didn't notice he was crying until he felt warm droplets fall onto his shirt.

"Baekhyun! Hey! Come join us!" Kyungsoo called noticing his friend placing an order. Baekhyun nodded eagerly paying for his cinnamon roll and trodding over to their table.

"If you really think you look pretty when you cry, you don't" Sehun, Kai's best friend said sarcastically. Kai wiped his tears and gave him a small smile.

Kai held onto Kyungsoo's waist tighter when Kyungsoo was wriggling to be free. Kai hated Baekhyun with all his guts and had a reason to.

Even through Kai's hard times Sehun always managed to make Kai laugh and smile whether it was small or big it was enough for Kai to keep going. Kai loved him as a brother but Sehun wanted a little more than that title.

"Kyungsoo let me feed you some of my cinnamon roll!" Baekhyun said pulling Kyungsoo next to him and feeding him small portions of the dessert. Kai was fuming with anger as Baekhyun smirked over at him.

"Hyung you haven't eaten. Eat some of my muffin" Sehun muttered about to stuff the whole thing in his mouth. Kai shook his head not having tasting one in over a year. Sehun smirked as he leaned over and tickled the tan male making his mouth fall open. Screams of laughter escaped from Kai's lips but was soon replaced by sweet homemade muffin.

Kyungsoo laughed at his best friend when Baekhyun 'accidentally' placed icing on his nose. Kai was going to lean in and lick it away when Baekhyun beat him at him.

"Yah Baekhyun do you want to die!" Kyungsoo glared at Baekhyun but soon giggled punching him lightly on the arm.

Kai had enough.

Kai immediately spit out the once enjoyable warm dessert and sat up from his seat. Kai swore he would never eat another muffin as long as it was with Kyungsoo and Kyungsoo only.

Kai was well aware of Sehun's love for him but Sehun should know not to cross his boundaries like that.

Kai had enough.

"Who do you think you are trying to steal my man away from me?! And you Kyungsoo letting him?! Am I just a toy to you?" Kai yelled outraged. The cafe went dead silent all eyes on the scenery that was happening.

"What the hell are you doing?! You know well that I don't eat muffins from here anymore! You as a best friend should know this!" Kai shouted at Sehun drawing attention to them.

"What are you talking about Kai? He's my best friend and will only be that! I love you and only you! Why do you keep insisting that I have feelings for him!" Kyungsoo replied back angrily. Kai's anger was getting the best of him by now and didn't really care if he was making a scene or not.

"Damnit Kai it's been a year! Let go already and let me love you!" Sehun screamed back getting up from his seat. Kai let his anger consume him as he glared at his friend.

"It seems like you're letting him treat you as if he was yours! I mean am I not good enough for you Kyungsoo?! Do I not excite you anymore?! Tell me what is it!"

"Sehun I don't love you! I can't ever love you like you want me to! Kyungsoo took my heart and never gave it back" Kai lashed back tears trickling down his cheeks.

Angry tears both fell from both males and Kyungsoo just shook his head.

"I thought you had trust in me. You know I would never cheat on you Kai. I love you but I guess I can't love you if you don't even trust what I do" Kyungsoo said pushing past him out the door. Kai fell down to his knees and sobbed having his heart ripped in two. He just sat there and watched his lover slip away as if he never existed in his life.

"I tried. I tried fixing your heart Kai. I guess it wasn't enough and won't ever be" Sehun muttered storming out of the cafe leaving Kai into a broken mess. Instead of staying there to mope around Kai dashed out of the cafe in search of his best friend afraid the same incident will happen to him like it did to Kyungsoo.

He cannot let that happen. Not again.

"I'm sorry please forgive me."

"I'm sorry please don't go."

Hello! Sorry if it was a little long :3 I really hoped you grasped the concept of what I trying to do and understood it lol. There won't be Kaisoo fluff for awhile and you will find out why in the next chapter but don't worry I will add flashbacks and stuff! Also don't think that all chapters are gonna be like this it was only for this first one so you can get the idea of what's going on

I might do it all in third person or 1st depending on what'll happen in the chapter but we'll see I guess. I really hoped you enjoyed it!
