-Chapter 3-
"lec!" i hear evan cried out my name. i looked behind only to be attacked by a hug.
"hey there, ev" i said patting his soft blue hair. "someone seems excited to see me again"
his head buried between my chest. making my chest swell up. i wanted to stay like that forever.
"shut up, lec" evan grumbled. "i went on holiday for 2 weeks! longer than i have ever gone without you. can't i missed my best friend?"
i loved how he had missed me. my face was warm, but i didn't like it when he said 'best friend'. it felt odd in a bad way.
he let go of me and i felt the warmth of his body go missing. why do i keep wanting his warmth? any bit of it. even his touch brings butterflies in me.
"
do you wanna go to the garden?" i asked. after showing him the place for our 2 years of friendship anniversary, we went there almost every time. i don't know when, but we had started to call it the 'garden'.
"definitely!" evan said, taking my slightly larger hands in his smaller ones, dragging me to the garden.
after walking our usual path, we had arrived at the garden.
we sat underneath the tree. the skies were cloudy and the wind blew at us.
we talked about nothing in particular. my attention was fully on him.
gosh, i love it when he talks. it's calming. it's energetic, but yet it's still soft. his fluffy blue hair blew slightly at the breeze. his eyes twinkled as he told a story, hands moving at some moments. occasionally glancing at me to ask questions.
"lec? lec? alec? you okay?" evan asked me as i snapped out of my trance. what was i thinking?
"yeah, just got lost in thoughts for a bit" i mumbled scratching the back of my head. "hey, look it's getting kinda dark"
"oh yeah! we should head back" evan declared. "don't wanna make my mom worried"
i nodded. we walked back to the playground. evan's mom had started letting him walk back home. which isn't far yet isn't close.
as usual, i walked him home.
"bye lec! i'll see you again tomorrow!" evan said waving his hands.
"bye," i said, giving a small wave.
i watched him walk back to his house. knocking on it before his mom showed up welcoming him home.
i waited 'till he wasn't in my view. i walked back to my house.
when i walked in daddy is passed out with bottles of alcohol. my mommy's car wasn't here. she probably went to sleep at a hotel. sighing. it was a pretty normal sight for me.
it was getting dark and i started making food. i started preparing ingredients for fried rice.
me and ali used to starve a couple of times when mommy left to sleep somewhere else.
i had saved up my money to buy a cooking book. it was worth it as when i had time I would cook. it was kinda therapeutic.
it was a great idea. since she had gone out a lot more now.
i finished cooking barely enough for 4 plates. i knew mommy would come home tomorrow without breakfast. daddy will wake up sometime near dawn and will eat it. if not, he'll blame it on us. ali and I would eat it as dinner.
i sighed and walked up the stairs. walking into ali's room.
"ali, dinner is ready," i said. she nodded and walked with me downstairs.
we ate our food in silence. we finished and i started rinsing the plates. i finished up and walked up to my room, doing my homework.
i finished everything. did my night time essentials and made sure ali did hers and then tucked her in her bed.
"alec, why are mommy and daddy always screaming?" ali asked her voice dripping with sleepiness.
"i don't know ali" i said.
"promise me that you'll
never be like mommy and daddy?"
"promise"
A/N
Sorry for being inactive :(
Stress is bad.
This chap isn't that good since it was rushed. I think I made it under 30 minutes?
