Beverly had a grim look on her face as she perfected her lip gloss in the mirror of her luxurious living room. Mike, her dead father's attorney, was reading her the will while she paid him no mind, waiting till he would give her the banks' names so she would take her money and head back to Yale.
"And the last of it is, I can't leave that amount of money with you, Beverly," She heard Mike reading out before she dropped her lip gloss on the off-white fur carpet, spinning on her heels to face him, "I love you, Beverly, but I can't stress enough the similarities between you and your mother. I can't trust you with that much money until you graduate college and find a suitable job, know how to run your life."
The blonde clutched a glass of water, taking a sip as the attorney continued, "And until then, my closest and most trusted friend will be taking good care of you, by the time Mike is reading this out for you. Elijah Mikaelson will be on his way to pick you up," The attorney finished as the empty glass broke in her hands, a few shards getting in before she screamed so loud that the whole State must have heard her.
"What did you just say?"
"I am sorry, Miss Hills, do you want me to reread it?" Mike stuttered out as she looked up at him, making him sit up straight in his seat.
Beverly looked him over before grabbing a medkit box from the kitchen table, wrapping up her hand quickly, refusing to look at her blood before she stated, "I want to you reread it...in English."
"Was it not English...I was speaking?"
"No, because it sounded like I am not getting my father's money which is legally mine right now," Beverly sucked in a long breath before smiling at Mike, "I am not being put in anyone's custody."
"Trust me, dear, it isn't in my best interest, either," A new voice came into the conversation as Beverly's head snapped to the mansion's door, "But I made a promise to your father."
"He is dead, I don't have to do anything he says. I am just going to go back to my college," She shrugged, turning with a pointed finger to the attorney who gulped under her intimidating gaze, "Clear?"
Mike coughed, standing up as he sent Elijah a silent call for help, "Actually, Miss Hills...Your father's will implied that as long as you are in Mr. Mikaelson's custody then your college's yearly funds will be paid as regular but failure to follow his will...would stop any money from being sent to the college."
"Get out of my house," Beverly sneered at him and he quite literally sprinted outside, "You too," She turned to Elijah, "Vampires are not welcomed here," She finished as he stood at the door, Elijah knew he was invited in before but with the house's deed in her name now, he had to stay at the door.
"Beverly, your father only took these measures to ensure your wise usage of his fortune," Elijah spoke up as she settled on her couch, raising an eyebrow at him.
"My dad was the worst person I had ever known, he ruined my life," She stated, spitting it out with no emotion, "And even in death, he continues to do so. I worked every day to deserve to get into that college! To deserve this life and he is taking it from me!"
Elijah sighed, placing his hands on the door frame, "I am sure he saw something you couldn't."
"That I am miserable? And that he would be giving me too much with that money?" Beverly scoffed, rolling her eyes, "Won't be as much as the money his last wives stole from him with their fake love and pitiful smiles."
The Original vampire nodded, exhaling, "If you believe your father wasn't the wisest man, I can not change that. But I can, however, tell you that you need not lose your life because of his will."
"What are you implying?"
"Come with me. I will have your college studies all done online, and you would finish those years, graduate, and take your fortune," He finished with a shrug of his shoulders, "The choice is yours."
Beverly sighed, shaking her head before Elijah turned to leave and she gritted her teeth, "Wait!"

Beverly wasn't used to car drives, in fact, she hated staying in a car for longer than ten minutes but planes were no good for her either. She was known to complain for hours on a plane as a child and adult, so the car was the best choice, but the blonde wasn't alright with that choice very much.
Elijah made a stop at her college to inform those in charge of her teaching and ensure that she will be attending every class as usual, just online. Some weren't okay with the news but compulsion did the trick just as well at the end of it.
"I am hungry," She said, crossing her arms over her chest with a long sigh.
Elijah nodded, focusing on the road, "We will make a stop in a few minutes."
"I don't eat anything," Beverly shared with a cautiously raised eyebrow, "Alright? I need salads or something with no carbs."
"You are vegetarian?"
"No, I am healthy," She rolled her eyes, "I eat one burger or pizza and my body will react in a not so nice way; that reaction will stop me from participating in pageants."
"Understood," He replied, parking in front of a gas station, "Salad...and?"
"Expresso, no sugar."

Soon enough, they were in New Orleans. Driving through the town to stop at an abandoned mansion with gardens all around. He parked the car in front of the implantation as Beverly opened the car door, yearning for a clean bed already; the stops at the road were as disgusting as they come.
"I hope it isn't like that inside," Beverly sighed, looking down at the dusty walls as she walked up to the mansion's door, "Get my bags, will you?" She smiled at him before knocking at the door.
After two minutes of huffing out impatiently and scrolling through her Instagram, the door was swung open to reveal a brunette with a hot fire poker in hand but her defensive posture lessened when she noticed Elijah walking up with a few of Beverly's bags— as the rest were in the car's backseat.
"Excuse me," Beverly mumbled, walking past Hayley and inside, the blonde scoffed as her eyes ran over the poorly decorated mansion, "This is ugly...how can anyone live here?" She shook her head, "This isn't human-safe environment...it looks like the last any living being had been here was a century ago."
Elijah opened his mouth to respond before she completed, "But then again, none of us are really human."
"Who is this, Elijah?" Hayley asked, turning to the Mikaelson.
Beverly's lips turned up in a smile as she introduced herself, "I am Beverly Hills, it's a pleasure I am sure."
"Beverly Hills as in....?" The werewolf trailed off with a raised eyebrow.
"No, the city was probably named after me," She shook her head, showing herself around as she overlooked the furniture and walls, "If I am to live here for the next three years of my life then redecoration is in order."
"Why is Queen Bee here again?" Hayley sighed as Elijah tilted his head, signaling that he would explain later, both of their heads upturn at the high pitched screech of the blonde in the kitchen, "What happened?" She asked, sprinting to the kitchen.
"Blood? Really? Could my father be more vain?" Beverly shook her head, squeezing her eyes shut as a shortened vision played itself in her mind, "There's going to be a few rules around here. Firstly, no blood under any circumstances—"
Beverly didn't get to finish her set of rules when another figure walked into the kitchen with a bloodied mouth, presumably the one who had ruined the kitchen's tiles, the blonde was quick to raise a hand to her eyes, gritting her teeth as her mind took her to yet another vision of hers, she gripped the kitchen's table tightly before coming back to her senses.
"I have hemophobia and it's not a joke so please, refrain from drinking this red thing around me or having it in your disgustingly tremendously ugly house," She ordered, making her way out of the kitchen with her hand still on her eyes as she pumped her shoulder's into whoever was standing at the door.
"Burn in hell, Dad."
