In the last few days, Ethan's emotions have been on a rollercoaster, from high on happiness to low on disappointment, from the joy of euphoria to the sadness of dejection. 

The ups and downs of these emotions made him overthink his life choices a lot, but the new announcement and sudden freedom that came with it definitely made him want to make some foolish choices.

One of the said foolish decisions being, agreeing with your sister to host a party. Don't get him wrong, Ethan does not like parties, but who is he to not throw one when he gets the opportunity of it on a silver platter?

But the party would have to wait for a good time, they have to be certain that their parents go to a place far enough that they can clean all the evidence even if they think of coming home early.

But these plans will have to wait because there are much more pressing matters in Ethan's hands. The first one being the party he randomly said yes to just because he was told Joshua might be there too.

David called him early Saturday morning, early enough for a weekend, asking him to get ready. Luckily his parents allowed him to go to friends' houses on weekends but unfortunately, he was too chicken to go. Alice had to kick him out of the house, after a call from David.

"My own sister kicked me out, can you even believe that?" Ethan pouted, whining non-stop as David drove him to Andy's house. 

"I told her to do that, why did you even say yes if you don't want to come?" David asked, stopping at the red light.

"It's not like I don't want to go there, just some of your friends can be jerks, and you know I can't tolerate them." Ethan explained. "I know you make every breathing person your friend, and I admire you for that but some of them just piss me off."

"Yeah, I can understand, but they are human too, some people just go through different situations and acquire different attitudes and mindsets. It's important to teach them good values and make them understand gently what they are doing is wrong." David said, in a typical David fashion.

"Yes, Mr. I see good in everyone, you can even make me feel guilty." Ethan said, messing David's hair playfully.

"Hey, I am driving." David warned, still smiling.

Turns out Andy is actually a really rich guy, as they stopped in front of a two-story house with its own garage and sizable garden.

"I don't think I'll regret my decision, this guy looks rich, he might have good games." Ethan said, admiring the garden.

"But I should warn you he is a brat, he divides the world into two, hard-working rich and uneducated lazy poor. We mostly just ignore him when he talks nonsense, because apart from that he is a good guy." David warned as they entered the house. 

A maid led them to the second story where they entered a big room, filled with arcade machines and computer games.

"I think I can ignore him being a jerk for now." Ethan whispered to David as they walked in to join everyone.

"Hey guys, this is Ethan." David introduced, "And Ethan this is Andy." he said pointing to a nicely dressed guy. "This is Hunter, Dan, Damian, Oliver, Jake, Mike, and the captain Ha Yoon. Ha Yoon is the guy I told you about, who punched and broke a nose." 

"David, so you are the person who is still spreading this news? Ethan, it's good to meet you, and that was one time when I was young. In my defense that other guy was a bully, don't judge me on punching a bully." Ha Yoon said, although a little shorter than the rest, he still gave a very cool and authoritative aura, definitely a captain.

"Don't worry, I don't judge just on the first meeting." David said, waving his hand dismissively. "So, where is this new game David was raving about the whole week." 

And just like that, they all crowded around the new game, taking turns to kick each other asses. Some cheered, some played other games, and some just sat chatting randomly.

"Hey, sorry guys I am late, had some errands to run." Can a deep, panting voice from behind Ethan, he turned to face Joshua, who looked like he ran here.

"It's alright, come in. Etha, this is Joshua, and Joshua you know all of them already." David introduced, pulling Joshua inside.

"Yeah, I met Joshua too, I am currently his tutor." Joshua explained, smiling.

"You teach?" Andy asked, shocked.

"Just temporarily, a tuition." Joshua clarified, sitting down.

"That's so cool, so they weren't wrong when they said you are a genius." Dan exclaimed, patting Joshua's back.

"I try." Joshua answered, shrugging.

Since Joshua arrived, the party got even better, turns out Joshua is great in video games. Only Ethan could win against him, and Ha Yoon came a close third. Maybe the way Joshua looked at Ethan, admiring his gaming talent gave Ethan wild butterflies in his stomach, but Ethan kept his cool, the party was still young.

"Pizzas should have been here yet, why hasn't the maid bought them up yet?" Andy wondered aloud.

"Should I go and ask them?" David asked as he was just waiting for his turn.

"It's alright, Joshua can go down and check." Andy answered.

Joshua was in the middle of a game, so Andy's request sounded a little off. Everyone looked at him confused, Joshua just composed his expressions in a smile and abandoned his game to go downstairs.

"What was that for?" Oliver asked, with whom Joshua was playing.

"I know you all might have not heard, but  they said Joshua is homeless." Andy whispered, almost like he was discussing a crime.

"Why are you spreading baseless rumors, man, I saw he even has a car." Dan said, defensively.

"Yeah, I heard that he lives in his car, one of my friends saw it, all his belongings are in that car. Don't you guys see how cheap and creased his clothes are, apart from his uniform he always wears these old wrinkled clothes." Andy accused.

"Even if he does, which I don't believe, still it's not right to treat him differently." David said, disapproving of the way the conversation was heading.

"My dear David, you don't know how these homeless kids are, he might be in the gang or something, it's good to keep them at a distance, you never know when they will rob you or something. Didn't you look at that Joshua, he looked like he does drugs or something." Andy said, talking like Joshua is some disgusting piece of shit.

Ethan came here thinking that he should at least get along with some of David's friends, but of course, there has to be some idiotic rotten dung with a nonexistent brain who would step right on Ethan's nerves and make him explode.

Just as Ha Yoon was about to open his mouth, most probably to talk some sense in Andy, Ethan exploded.

"YOU ABSOLUTE SCUMBAG OF A BASTARD"
