The team continued to fight and destroy the bots that they could, side by side. 

As time went on the civilians kept evacuating and everyone was almost off of the of the floating rock.

"We gotta move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats, I'll sweep for stragglers, be right behind you." Steve said and everyone looked at him. 

"What about the core?" Clint asked gesturing it to it before shooting another bot with an arrow. 

"I'll protect it. It's my job." Wanda said causing Zara and Pietro to look at her in shock. "Get the people on the boats." She said looking at everyone. 

"I'm not leaving you." Pietro said and Zara nodded, agreeing with him. 

"Yeah, not going to happen." She added causing Wanda to smile a little at her. 

"I can handle this. Come back for me when everyone else is off, not before." Wanda said as she blasted another robot away. 

Pietro and Zara looked at each other before nodding and looking back at Wanda. 

"Go." Wanda said before hugging both of them. Bucky pulled at Zara's arm as they pulled away. 

"We have to go." He said and she nodded before giving one last look to Wanda and running with him by her side. 

"Get your asses on those boats." Natasha said over comms. 

Zara and Bucky were gathering up stragglers as they were running to where everyone was loading the boats. 

They got to the boats and looked around to make sure there wasn't anyone else. Zara saw Clint grabbing a kid in the market. Gunfire was heard causing Zara looked towards it. She looked at Bucky and smiled a little before pulling him close and bring his lips to hers. They were frozen there for a second before Zara pulled away and started sprinting towards Clint and the kid. 

Zara got there just in time to put a force field up around the kid and Clint. It was a second late getting up and she screamed as a bullet went through her abdomen causing her to fall to her knees. The force field stayed intact as the Hulk tears up the jet Ultron was in. 

Zara lets the force field go as she collapses from the pain. She grimaces as Clint helps her up with the kid still in his arms. Bucky sprints over to her and takes her from Clint, helping her to the lifeboats.

"What the hell did you do that for?" He asked, his voice laced with concern. 

Zara looked up at him and smiled a little. "It's my job, I protect people." She whispered as she gasps in pain. 

"But you don't have to die." He said as he helped her onto a lifeboat. 

"It was Clint and a kid. Clint has children and that kid has a life to live." She whispered and winced as he set her on the ground. 

Her face was losing color and she was bleeding too much for comfort. 

"I need a medic!" Bucky called and one rushed to her side. He explained the situation as Zara just looked at him, knowing that she was facing death. 

Pietro and Wanda zoomed onto the lifeboat and hugged each other. Wanda noticed Zara on the ground and ran over to her. 

"No, no, no Z. What did you do?" She whispered as she looked at her. 

"My job." She whispered as her eyes fluttered closed.

"Zara, keep your eyes open. Wake up please." Bucky pleaded as the medic continued to do work on her. "Zara please!" He begged as tears started to well up in his eyes. 

Pietro knelt down next to Wanda and put an arm around his sister. 

"Z, I know you're strong enough to make it through this. Please stay with us." He said as the lifeboat took off towards the helicarier. 

There was three rumbles of thunder and then a big rumble. The twins turned to see their home being vaporized. 

They turned back towards Z and Bucky. "Z please stay with us." Wanda whispered as Zara's eyes fluttered open. 

"You think I would leave my family?" Zara whispered and Bucky smiled a little as Zara looked over to Bucky. 

"I care about you too Bucky." She whispered and squeezed his hand as hard as she could. "I wouldn't leave you either." She added and winced as the lifeboat landed on the helicarier. 

"We need to get her to the infirmary." The medic said and Bucky nodded. 

"I'll carry her." He said as he tried to gently pick her up. Zara cried out in pain as he picked her up. "I know it hurts, you'll be in the hospital soon." He said as he hurried after the medic. 

The team members who were helping everyone off of the lifeboats saw Bucky with Zara in his arms and paused. They didn't realize one of them had been hit. 

Wanda and Pietro walked off of the lifeboat together and looked around. 

"What happened?" Steve asked running over to them. 

"Zara saved me and a kid I was helping. She got hit once before the field went up somehow. She was hit in the abdomen." Clint said walking up to the group. 

Everyone was silent for a second before Bucky came over the comms. 

"Zara was hit. She's in the infirmary but they don't know if she's going to make it. She lost a lot of blood." Bucky said, the pain evident in his voice. 

The process of finding everyone a spot for themselves was difficult. After a couple of hours everyone was in their spots and the team could finally rest. 

Bucky had to stay out of the infirmary because it was so crowded with the injured and any doctor they could find. 

Steve was with him to try to keep him distracted but it was hard to think while there were so many people around. 

They didn't want to land until they had count of how many people were still alive and how much damage was done to the city so they were going to be hovering above where the city had been for awhile as they assessed how bad it was. 

Steve looked at Bucky and sighed a little. "She's strong, she'll be okay." He said and Bucky shrugged a little. 

"She lost consciousness on the boat, I could tell she was fading as I handed her to the doctors." Bucky said. 

"Everyone in the team, get to the debriefing room." Tony said over the comms. 

They stood up and walked to the debriefing room which was a little bit of a walk but when they got there, they sat down and waiting for the last person, Thor, to get there. 

"What is this about?" Steve asked as Fury stood up. 

"Everyone on this ship has to go somewhere, and that includes us after we offload everyone. Stark has a secure compound in upstate New York. That's where all of you will go." Fury explained and everyone nodded a little. 

"And Zara?" Wanda asked from the back. 

Fury looked at her for a second before sighing. "She's going to be looked after by the best doctors we know but it's not looking good." He said and Bucky's heart fell.

Bucky got up and walked out of the room, ignoring Steve calling after him. He needed to see Zara.

Hey guys, I know you haven't heard from me yet but I just wanted to say thank you guys for reading and yes, this book is almost done! And no, there will not be a sequel. I might come back and edit it sometime but this not going to be a series.
