The ride to Sokovia was quiet except for Steve, who was going over the plan with everyone.

Zara knew her job, and she was happy that she was in the evacuation process along with Pietro and Wanda. Sokovia is her home.

Bucky's job was to help Steve, he wanted to help Zara but he would have to find her after he made sure Steve was okay in his position.

Once they landed everyone looked at each other one final time before running to their positions.

Zara nodded at Pietro before running off. Wanda smiled a little at her and nodded a little.

"Let's save our home." Wanda said and Zara nodded before running over to her position to evacuate.

Zara slowly evacuated one of the larger buildings before Wanda's power started to overtake them. Zara closed her eyes and took a deep breath before sending a force field around the group of people.

She held that position for about 20 minutes before someone interrupted her thoughts.

"Get off the bridge Zara!" Wanda called. Zara opened her eyes to see Ultron bots climbing out of the ground. Her eyes widened as she began to push people off of the bridge with her force fields before sending one towards the bots.

She began to run, to draw the bots away from the civilians. There wasn't a clear thought in her mind which isn't great when you have to make force fields to protect people.

All of a sudden the ground began to shake. She stopped running and looked at Wanda and Pietro who had stopped running.

The ground began to raise and Zara's eyes widened.

"Guys, we're floating. What's going on?" Zara asked as she looked around the the civilians who were still here.

"Sokovia is turning into a meteor." Tony said over the comms.

Zara looked at the now terrified civilians. She didn't have a lot of time to think before more Ultron bots came towards her.

"Shit." She whispered before she started to fight.

Bucky was right next to Steve fighting as many bots as he could, protecting the people that were still in the city.

"Where's Zara?" Bucky called over to Steve.

"Now is not the time to do a grand romantic gesture Bucky!" Steve yelled back as Bucky shot through 10 bots.

"I wasn't planning that!" Bucky yelled back. "Zara, what's your location?" Bucky asked over the comms.

Zara jumped a little when her name was mentioned in the comms.

"With Wanda by where the bridge was." Zara responded before a bot knocked her down and she groaned before sending out a force field, destroying any bots around her.

She got up and looked around. "How are we going to get everyone off the rock?" She asked as she ran over to Wanda to help her. . Before she could get to Wanda, she vaporized any bot in the area. Zara nodded a little before Pietro ran over to them, grabbed both of them, and ran to where Steve, Bucky, and Thor were.

Bucky looked at Zara for half a moment before going back to helping Steve fight a group of bots trying to get to some civilians.

Zara looked over at Bucky before looking around to assess the situation.

"Stark what do you have?" Steve asked over the comms, knowing that they needed a way to stop this rock from rising anymore and get people off of it.

"Well, nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface if you guys can get clear." Stark responded with as Zara sent bots Wanda's way to get vaporized.

"I asked for a solution, not an escape plan." Steve grunted as he hit a bot with his shield.

"Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're going to have to make a choice." Tony said and Zara stopped for a second realizing what that meant, and looked in Bucky's direction.

"Cap, these people are going nowhere. If Stark finds a way to blow this rock..." Natasha said to Steve.

"Not till everyone's safe." He responded as Bucky turned towards Zara.

"Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math there." Natasha argued, making a good point.

" I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it." Bucky said and ran over to Zara.

"Didn't say we should leave. There's worse ways to go. Where else am I gonna get a view like this?" Natasha shrugged looking out over the sky.

Everyone was silent for a second.

"Glad you like the view, Romanoff. It's about to get better. Nice, right? I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do." Fury's voice said as a helicarrier appeared from below the rock.

"Fury you son of a bitch." Steve said with a small smile on his face.

"Lifeboats secure to deploy. Disengage in three, two...take 'em out." An agent said and the team watched the life boats exit the helicarrier.

"Okay, the native Sokovians plus Bucky, get everyone on those lifeboats. The rest of us, guard the switch and get the bots attention." Steve said and everyone went to their stations.

Bucky and Zara ran to the nearest building to guide everyone hiding in it to one of the lifeboats. Zara put a force field around them so they were as safe as they could be. Bucky loaded them on and shot any bot that came near them.

"Okay, everyone they're coming for the core. We need to protect it. The civilians know where to go, get to the core now." Tony said.

Zara yelled at the rest of the civilians to tell them where to go while Bucky waited for her. They looked at each other and smiled a little.

"You okay there Z?" He asked her and she nodded a little.

"Just figured that we actually are going to die." She said and he nodded a little before kissing her head gently.

"Come on, we have to go help." He said softly. She nodded a little but didn't make any move to actually go help.

"Bucky and Zara, stop having a moment. We need help." Steve yelled and they both took off running towards the core to help the team.
