He stared at her. His blue eyes burning with intensity as they gazed over her entire face; it was as if he was trying to figure out what she meant by her statement. "Alexa," he cleared his throat, the seriousness in his voice making her gulp, "are you sure about this?"

She nodded, frowning at him. "Why wouldn't I be?"

He smiled at her, rubbing his thumb in between her eyebrows to remove the worried lines on her forehead and said, "I want you to be comfortable with this decision. I do not want you to feel that because we did those exercises, you have to get intimate with me."

Alexa shook her head, running her index finger along his jawline and said, "Xander, it has nothing to do with the exercises. I just...if I'm going to be pregnant, I might as well...like...enjoy making the baby."

Xander chuckled, nodding and tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear. His palm lingered on her cheek and he rubbed his thumb against her cheekbone caringly. "Well if that is what you wish; I have no issue with your decision."

"You better," she muttered, leaning closer towards him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I can't make this baby by myself."

He laughed, eyeing her lips and lowered his hands to rest them against her waist. "Believe me, mielle, you will not have to."

"Who the hell is mielle?" She blurted out, sounding somewhat daze by the proximity of his lips.

"It means my love in my language, Alexa," He laughed, shaking his head, but feeling content at the jealousy that she quickly felt; it almost overpowered his senses.

"Oh..." Her cheeks turned a dark shade of red and she shrugged, using the kiss as a distraction from her embarrassment. At least he knew that her feelings were genuine; she wanted to be the only female he looked at with amorous eyes.

Xander smiled against their kiss, caressing her sweetly and immediately felt the heated waves that emanated from her engulfing him. If she continued kissing him the way she was, their baby would come sooner than they thought.

He teasingly ran his lips down her jawline, making her head tilt back and a breathy moan tremble past her lips. Not only did he love the reactions he received from kissing her, but her skin was smooth and silky. It felt spectacular against his lips and just his body; he wanted to worship her like a goddess.

Alexa groaned, taking a hold of his dark hair and bit her bottom lip as his mouth reached her soft spot. With a simple flick of his tongue against her neck, she melted in his arms. "Oh my god," Her voice came out husky with need and she pulled him closer.

"Would you like some food?" Xander chuckled, nibbling on her earlobe.

"You have got to be kidding me," she snapped, glaring daggers at him.

He laughed, his blue eyes twinkling with happiness and he innocently said, "What?"

Alexa gritted her teeth, climbing off his lap and said, "That was cruel; don't worry, though. Payback's a bitch and you're going to regret teasing me."

"Aw, come on, mielle," He grinned, wrapping his arms around her waist as they walked towards the kitchen, "do not be angry at me. I was simply suggesting we eat because we did not have breakfast."

"You could've been my breakfast," she huffed under her breath, forgetting that he could hear her.

Xander's laugh exploded through his chest, making his entire frame as he continued laughing at her. "Sorry, mielle, I am not into cannibalism."

She blushed and opened the faucet to wash her hands. "Whatever."

He continued laughing, trying to quiet down, but the more he saw her annoyed look, the more he laughed. Xander wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing a soft kiss to her jaw and whispered, "Do not be angry, mielle; I promise to make it up to you."

"It's not fair," she huffed, "you get me all hot and bothered and then you freaking ask me if I want to eat. What kind of question is that?! That's the best way to kill my damn mood."

"I made you all hot and bothered?" He asked, mirth and playfulness shining in his eyes. "Times that feeling you are experiencing right now by a hundred." She rolled her eyes, but nodded for him to continue. Xander grinned, leaning in closer to her ear and whispered, "That is how I felt this morning – and there was nothing that I could think of to keep me in control."

He lowered his hands down her waist, pressing soft kisses to her neck, just behind her ear and whispered, "If Reyna would not have stopped you right when she did, I would have taken us home and probably taken advantage of you."

Alexa groaned, turning around abruptly and kissed him. "This," she gasped, "is exactly the cruel thing to do. I just want to jump your bones and – my goodness!"

Xander chuckled, low and throaty and kissed her gently, grabbing her thighs and sat her on the countertop. She moaned against his lips, wrapping her legs around his waist and encaged him against her body.

To have him against her the way he was, still towering over her was an inexplicable, yet amazing feeling. Wherever he touched her, she felt tingles and they would shoot throughout her in sync, making her feel high off pleasure.

She had never felt that way, not even when she was touching herself and the thought of Xander touching her sinfully made her even hotter. At that moment, she was willing to burn the food in the fridge just so he could eat her. Food was glorious to her, but at that moment passion and need were blinding her. Just the mere touch of his fingers on her skin made her want to ravish him.

"Xander," she gasped as his bulge pressed against her stomach, "oh my freaking fruit loops, if you don't stop now, I'm not going to be responsible for the freakiness I bring into your bedroom."

He was almost gone; he had slowly submitted to his sexual desire and it would take all of his self-restraint to calm himself down. Xander nibbled on her skin, rubbing his fingers against her stomach, inside her shirt and growled as she pressed herself closer to him.

"Please, please, please," she rushed out, knowing that it was desire speaking; they weren't ready yet. She wanted to make their first time perfect, with candles and flowers and fruity shït she saw on TV because he was perfect and she wanted him to have perfection. Yes, keep thinking about that and you won't want to jump him yet. Candy...just like Xander's lips. Okay; not working.

"Xander!" She breathed out, giving him a light shove. He didn't move an inch, but he tensed against her and seemed to snap out of his revere. "Holy crap!" She gasped, taking his face in her hands, "Your eyes!"

He frowned, licking his lips quickly and said, "What is wrong with them?"

"They're pitch black," she squeaked out, biting her bottom lip hard, turning it a dark shade of red.

His frown deepened, but staring into the reflection of her green eyes he noticed what she meant. He didn't know why they turned that way; it usually only happened when he was extremely angry, but the only emotion he felt then was arousal. He'd have to ask one of the scientists if that was normal for them.

"Ooh," she giggled, "is that what happens when you get hot and bothered?"

He smiled, kissing her nose and shrugged. "I do not know; I will ask, though."

"You're so freaking cute," she groaned, opening her arms to hug him. All sexual feelings seemed to dissipate to leave behind a loving emotion. It was strange but she wanted to just be held by him. Whether it was sexual or not, she didn't care to specify.

Xander wrapped his arms around her, hugging her carefully as if she were a precious gem that would shatter under his touch and she sighed happily. Just holding him gave her butterflies. Alexa nuzzled her face into his neck and closed her eyes as she listened to his heart beating.

"Is your heart right in the middle of your chest?"

He nodded, placing his chin on top of her head. "Yes."

"Ours too," she mumbled, suddenly feeling tired. Her emotions ranged from tired to hungry, but she didn't want to move. His arms felt warm and comfortable.

"Come on," he gently pulled her off the counter, "what do you want to eat?"

"I don't want to cook," she groaned, not wanting to move from the comfortable position.

He smiled down at her, shaking his head slightly and said, "Would you like me to order something?"

She yawned and shook her head. "Can we just go to sleep? I want to sleep."

"Are you not hungry anymore?"

"You're so comfortable," she groaned, "I don't even want to move."

Xander laughed, but nodded and began walking away from the kitchen. "Where would you like to sleep?"

"With you," she quickly replied.

He chuckled again. "But in what room?"

"Definitely yours."

He removed her legs from around his waist and carried her bride-style into his room. Alexa grinned up at him, snuggling closer to his chest and mumbled, "You know, this means we're married now."

Xander widened his eyes and tensed his muscles. "W-what?"

"I'm kidding," she quickly sobered up as he placed her on his bed gently. "One of our weird traditions is that when we get married, the groom carries the bride into their house or hotel room or whatever. I think it has to do with an old tradition where they thought that there were evil spirits on the floor or something, so the groom carried the bride to protect her from them. It's a silly superstition, but we still do it to this day; well some couples do."

"Oh," he stood at the end of the bed, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Sorry," she mumbled and got up of the bed, "if it's weird, I can just go to my room."

"No," he quickly shook his head, "it just took me by surprise. I apologise, I did not mean to act so strange."

Alexa nodded, pressing her lips into a thin line. "Are you sure? I don't want you to-"

"Alexa," he interrupted, standing in front of her quickly and cradled her face in his hands, "I am positive."

"Okay," she sighed, turning around to pull the covers off the bed. She didn't even remember him fixing his bed before they left. She quietly pulled the covers over her body and snuggled closer to the pillow.

As soon as she replayed the awkward situation in her mind, she felt bothered. It was a joke; he didn't need to freak out over the thought of marrying her. Like damn, am I so bad that he doesn't even want to marry me? He just wants me to have his freaking kids?

She gritted her teeth, shaking her head and got out of the bed. Xander frowned, but she forced a smile and said, "I forgot something in my room." He nodded and she walked out, faster than a bat out of hell.

Her stomach grumbled and she made a sharp turn into the kitchen. Since she didn't feel like cooking, she grabbed two cans of Pringles and a bottle of water. Have to be healthy, she snorted at her lame joke and quickly walked into her room.

After locking the door behind her, she sat down on the bed and let out a loud groan. It was stupid of her part to be thinking about marriage - especially to an Alien. He probably didn't even see her that way. He had said he cared for her, but he didn't love her. She wasn't angry at him; she was angry at herself. She was the one that brought it up.

She glared out the window and angrily yanked the lid off the can. After chomping on the chips hard enough to shatter her teeth, she sighed and licked her salty lips. She shouldn't have lied, but she didn't know how to bring up what was bothering her.

Hey, why don't you want to marry me? would simply not do for her.

Alexa leaned against the backboard of the bed and pulled her legs up, close to her chest. She tapped her knees, subconsciously eating the chips and glanced at the clock. It was only one in the afternoon and she wanted to sleep. That was the life.

After she ate half of the can and drank the entire bottle of water, she decided to take a long hot shower. But Xander had other plans in mind.

"Alexa?" He knocked on her door lightly. "Can you unlock the door?"

She frowned, looking at herself in the mirror and called back, "I'm kind of naked." She leaned over, pushing her hair over her head and tied it at the top. She snickered, twisting the ponytail around into a bun and closed the bathroom door before walking into the shower.

"We need to talk," he spoke, sounding like he was right outside the bathroom door.

"I'm taking a shower," she sang, opening the faucet to let the hot water fall on her shoulders. She breathed out, closing her eyes and began to lather herself with the liquid lemon-scented soap. "Singing in the shower, la-da-de-la-da-da something, something."

She hummed the rest of the song, shaking her shoulders to the music playing in her head and continued washing her body.

"Being in the shower does not prevent you from speaking," Xander clarified, standing in the bathroom.

Alexa jumped, smacking her elbow against the wall and wailed in pain. "Ow-fücking wall!"

"Are you alright?" He frowned, stepping closer to the shower curtain.

"Yeah!" She groaned, "I just hit my funny bone." Suddenly in dawned on her... "Are you in the bathroom?!"

Xander nodded, even though she couldn't see him. "Yes."

"Wha-why?!"

He frowned, looking around the bathroom and mumbled, "I actually do not know. I just know we have to speak."

"Well talk away, mister," she muttered, bending over to grab the liquid soap. She squirted more on her hand, lathering her skin until it was completely covered with white soap bubbles.

"I would prefer looking at you when we speak," He slowly pushed the curtain open and Alexa widened her eyes, letting out a squeal as she yanked it close.

"Are you out of your mind?! I'm kind of naked in here!"

He narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest. "Minutes ago you were willing to have sexual intercourse with me, yet now you do not want me to see you naked?"

"W-well," she stuttered, feeling her cheeks heat up, "it's different, you know?"

"Actually I do not," He replied, annoyance ringing in his voice.

Alexa sighed. "Can you just wait until I'm done?" He huffed in reply and she opened the faucet to rinse the soap off. After she was done, she extended her hand out, blindly searching for her towel and Xander sighed, pulling it off the rack and gave it to her. "Thanks," she muttered.

After she quickly dried herself, she wrapped the towel around her body and timidly stepped out of the shower. Xander stared at her, his eyes flashing a dark colour as they zoomed into a small droplet that ran from her jaw and disappeared in between the valley of her breasts.

"So, do you want to have this talk here or would you rather wait until I'm done changing?"

"Now," he replied gruffly, he cleared his throat and continued staring at her. "What is bothering you?"

"What?" She frowned, grabbing a clean shirt from the counter and turned away to put it on. She tied the towel around her waist and hoped with all her might that it wouldn't fall off because she didn't have any underwear on.

Xander sighed, stepping closer to her and said, "Alexa, we have been together for five months now; I know you. There is something that is bothering you."

She shrugged, pulling the shirt over her head and muttered, "Nothing."

"Please," he whispered, placing his hand on her shoulder, "I know you. Do not complicate a situation when it has a solution."

Alexa gritted her teeth, turning around after her breasts were covered and said, "When I said that we were married. It seemed to freak you out and I know it's stupid of me to think about marriage with you because hell you don't love me. I get it, it's cool with me, but I don't want to only have your kids. I kind of just...I don't know."

"Alexa," he smiled at her as he took her chin in his fingers, "it is not that I do not want to marry you. I would love to, but the customs of Earth and my customs are very different. Your people seem to marry and quickly divorce. When we marry, it is for life."

"There are people that get married and stay married until they die," she mumbled, not wanting to meet his eyes.

"Look at me," he spoke softly, "we cannot be rash and marry now. I know it seems silly because we will be spending the rest of our lives together, but my morals will not let me do so. I know it is something that would make you happy, but I cannot fight what I think is right."

She widened her eyes. "You think I want to marry you now?!"

"Well," he frowned, but she shook her head.

"No! I didn't mean for us to get married right away!" She laughed, "I meant...like in the future. I want to be married. I don't want to only be your baby-making machine, you know?"

Xander sighed, pressing his forehead against hers and whispered, "How many times will I have to tell you that you are not going to be a baby-making machine, Alexa? To me, you are more than that."

She sighed, looking away from him and grabbed her towel. "Can I finish getting dressed?"

"No."

"Okay-wait what?" She frowned. "No? I didn't really ask you!"

He rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around her waist and said, "Why are you so uncomfortable with the thought of me seeing you undressed? You do realise that we cannot have sexual intercourse with our clothes on."

Well, actually...

"I know," she mumbled, feeling her heart begin to thud faster in her chest the more he touched her.

"Then," he lightly touched her chin with his thumb and index finger, "why is this so uncomfortable for you?"

"I just," she whispered, "there are things I have to do before I let you see me naked. Things that are personal and I have to do on my own time."

"Like?" He breathed near her ear, sliding his hands down her thighs.

"Don't," she gasped, almost falling into the shower when she pushed him away, "don't touch me there."

He frowned, but quickly let go of her. "I apologise I did not mean to-"

"Ugh, you don't get it!" She groaned, "I want you to touch me there. So freaking bad, like I'm going to die." He raised his eyebrows at her, not understanding her. "I think I'm going to die if you don't touch me there."

"Then...?"

Alexa blushed, tucking back her hair and muttered, "Just not now; it's not ready."

"It?" He burst out laughing, shaking his entire frame as he did so.

She glared at him, smacking his shoulder playfully and whined, "Don't laugh at me!"

He continued laughing, trying to sober up, but her pout didn't allow him to. She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest and mumbled, "She's not ready yet."

"Who is not ready yet?" He bit his bottom lip, trying not to laugh anymore.

"She!" Alexa pointed in between her thighs, "She is not taken care of, okay? Can we just leave it at that?! Or I'm going to get angry and just leave."

"I apologise," he chuckled, pulling her in for a hug, "I did not mean to laugh, but you humans are very strange."

"Whatever," she huffed, "can we get out of the bathroom already? I kind of plan on taking a five-hundred-hour nap."

He rolled his eyes, but nodded and helped her take her dirty clothes out of the bathroom. "You cannot really take a 500-hour nap because we have to wake up early tomorrow to train."

"Then let's get to sleeping!" She threw her hands in the air.

Xander took her hand in his as they walked to his room and playfully said, "Are you ever going to tell me who she is?"

"No."

"Good morning, ladies," Lieutenant Dram nodded his head once, making the girls raise their eyebrows in suspicion. He seemed to be too nice to be the same Lieutenant who almost beat Alexa for standing up for one of her own.

"I will apologise for my behaviour on Monday, but the rules are still the same they were. You will not be here late or the entire team will repeat the training missed, understood?" The girls nodded. "Just because I apologise does not mean that we are friends. We will begin a light jog around the field and then I will assign your weapons."

Alexa widened her eyes in excitement and stared at him as he looked at her with an unreadable expression. She shrugged once he glanced away and began leading the group. She took a deep breath, thanking Xander for the granola bar he forced her to eat and began jogging behind the team.

Like the first they ran, she wasn't pushing herself to the extreme. She made sure to stay amongst the crowd, but not near the front. She didn't want to get tired quickly.

The sun slowly began to turn hotter and sweat quickly began to drip down her forehead, sticking to her clothes. The soft wind that swept across the field was magnificent, it brought about tropical and fresh scents. It made the running seem less annoying and more relaxed than it was.

She didn't know how long they ran for, it didn't seem to be for long, but she was growing tired of the sweat sliding down her face. She'd tuck her bangs behind her ears, but they were beginning to stick to her fingers and it was annoying her.

The girls no longer spoke amongst each other animatedly; instead they drowned in their own thoughts. Yet the silence seemed better than the annoying, useless chatter about their day.

To her disappointment, Kai hadn't returned. She didn't know if it was because she was still sick or if she wanted nothing to do with the Lieutenant anymore; she'd have to ask Xander to make sure that she was alright.

"You are all doing exceptionally well," Dram's voice sounded gruffly, as if he was being forced to give compliments, but the girls were too engulfed in their thoughts to care. They just wanted to stop running and start the actual training with weapons.

Alexa sighed, growing annoyed at a piece of blonde hair that was jumping in front of her eyes and she angrily pushed it back. Sweat began to drip down her face and she wiped it away, huffing curses in her mind.

She glanced at her hands, swearing she saw a glimpse of something red and widened her eyes at the blood that was smeared on them. She rubbed her hand against her dark shorts and touched her face to try and identify the place where the blood was coming from.

Her nose felt sticky and moist and suddenly her mouth began to taste metallic. She looked around, feeling slightly nauseous and stopped running. Girls passed by her, muttering curses under their breath as she bumped into them, but none stopped to ask her what was wrong.

As soon as Dram noticed, he gritted his teeth and tried to calm his anger before he smacked some sense into her. She couldn't just stop running whenever she felt like it; he was the leader in the regiment.

"Why did you stop running?" He walked towards her.

Alexa gasped for air, holding her chest and widened her eyes at him in terror. He frowned, noticing the blood that was sliding down her nose and stepped towards her. Her legs buckled and she fell on the ground, smacking her head on the gravel.

Dram knelt next to her, cursing in his language and pressed his hand against her neck. Her body was acting abnormal and he didn't know what to do. He shouted to his second in command to call for a medic and turned back to Alexa. "Breathe, try to breathe!"

She groaned in pain as blood began to gurgle in her throat, almost drowning her and Dram quickly sat her up. A mixture of saliva and dark red blood oozed out of her mouth and she passed out, falling limply against Dram's arms.

"Finn," He barked out, fear making his voice shake.

"Yes?" A burly man with long black hair stood in front of him, trying not to look at the girl in his arms.

"Call Lieutenant Xander." Dram gulped, looking around as the other females began to drop to the ground.
