     "I guess this is it, isn't it?" It wasn't really a question I was asking, and I think we both knew that.
     We were starting to lean closer to each other, when he spoke, "If these are our last moments, then I should tell you then.. Jake, I think I might have feeli-" My friend, Matt, was cut off by an annoyingly loud noise.
"What the-" I sat up and frantically took in my surroundings. "This stupid ass alarm. I hope you burn in hell," I harshly told this inanimate object next to me.
     After silencing the screeching demon on my dresser, I proceeded to get ready to face the end of the second week of hell- I mean, high school. With more struggle than it should have taken, I managed to dress myself fairly decently.. Then of course, hygiene, it being fairly important to me, I always take time to do a thorough job. After all that jazz, I walked out of the practically silent, empty house with my backpack on my shoulder, an apple in my hand, and a song in my heart. Chuckling to myself, I barely noticed when Alora, another friend of mine, went to tackle me. So naturally, I crouched down and flipped her over my back into the bushes. "Hey there," I greeted her. Just another day in the life, I suppose.
     Eventually reaching the gates of hell, we were waved over by the rest of our little group. This consisted of two females and three males.
     At the moment, Luke and Matt seemed to be in a heated match of blackjack, winner takes the bottle of pop. "Hey, I want to play the winner." They began to inform me that they could never beat me, so they had given up playing me. Before I spoke, I paused to take a look at their game, and what I saw ticked me off. "Oh, you little shit. Those are my favorite cards. Don't you have any idea how long I was looking for those?"
Lucky for those assholes, the shrill ring of the bell told us to get up and face what was to come.
Thus my day began.

So, that was this first chapter. I know that not much has happened yet, but be patient. Next chapter will be much more exciting. I want to let you guys get to know the characters before they- hah. No spoilers for you.
