Saki sat up,huffing.

Even after a decent night's rest,she still felt a hint of exhaustion along with light-headedness.

Despite that,she got up

"Time for school!" She thought excitedly.

Saki got to see her new friend today! She got up, taking her uniform off of a hanger and humming a soft tune.

Maybe someone new will join the club today~♪

Pulling her blue cardigan over her uniform, Saki skipped out of her room and down the stairs.

Peeking her head over the railing, she spotted her brother eating breakfast. Giggling, Saki skipped over and tickled his neck.

Tsukasa let out not the quietest squawk, whipping his head to look at the culprit.

"Why must you do such a thing to me?!" He exclaimed.

"Funsies." She said simply.

Saki snatched a piece of Tsukasa's toast before marching over to the door, completely ignoring Tsukasa's pleas for his food back.

"See ya, big bro!"

"You're forgetting something, missy!"

Saki quiet huff, turning to look at the older boy, who had his hands on his hips and looked like an angry mom.

"Your pills?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Saki nodded, folding her arms. She was already running late. Now was not the time for silly medicine!

"I'll take them when I get to school, bye!"

The girl gave him little time to respond, as she had already bolted out the house.

After a long sprint, Saki finally made it to school!...though she was late, and homeroom was finishing in four minutes.

Guess she had some time to spend to herself.

Looking around, she noticed a new person sitting on a bench, looking rather lonely. Saki's eyes lit up with curiosity, and she sprinted to the newcomer.

"Hello~☆!!" The blonde giggled, plopping down next to them.

From what Saki could observe, the girl had slightly curly pink hair in a side ponytail.

Huh...

Never seen that before.

"Uh...you okay?" Saki asked, poking the other's shoulder.

The girl with the pink-colored hair suddenly perked up, shifting their gaze to Saki.
"Yeah..Just a little lonely..I get picked on a lot.."

"Oh...Me and my friend have a club for lonely people! Maybe you can join and we'll be the best of friends-!"

Speak of the devil, huh?

Ichika suddenly walked over, sitting on the other side of the new girl. The black haired girl flashed the newbie a small smile before glancing at Saki.

"Ah, shucks. You got someone before I could?"

Saki nodded before suddenly remembering something important.
"Ichika...About your number, I-"

"So, what's your name, newcomer?"

The pinkette looked over at Ichika before muttering quietly: "Mizuki..."

Saki's face morphed into a slight pout, not happy with being interrupted. Why did Ichika just brush her off like that?!

"Good to know! I'll take you to class! See ya, Saki!" Ichika chuckled, taking Mizuki's hand and guiding them away with her.

"....rude." Saki murmured.

Just then, the bell sounded, and the sound of people filing out of homeroom and to their classes filled the air.

Saki got up, but just before she left her spot, she quickly took one of her dull, dingy yellow pills, huffing.

Only one..?

One doesn't last as long....

Saki sat quietly, mindlessly tapping the keys of her keyboard. Maybe Ichika was bringing someone new with Mizuki...that's why she's taking so long.

But she has to talk to her about the whole phone number fiasco.

After a while, she looked up to see Ichika walking over, with Mizuki carrying someone new over their shoulder....whoever it was appeared to be trying to squirm away.

"Who's that?" Saki questioned, smirking slightly.

"This is Emu! She's too hyper for her own good...We had to pin her down and carry her so she wouldn't run away and go to the wrong place.." Ichika said, her voice having faint traces of amusement.

Mizuki laughed, gently dropping 'Emu' on the floor and ruffling her hair. "She's so cute...I wanna keep her..~♪"

"You're cute, too!!" Squealed the somewhat obnoxiously high voice of Emu.

Saki smiled, walking over and standing next to Ichika.

Though, her smile faded as she looked her up and down.

"Why doesn't your number show up, Ichi...?"

"Ah! My battery died before I could save it...Sorry!I'll do it tonight!"

The blonde gave Ichika a suspicious glance before nodding.
"I'll check then, okay?"

Ichika hummed in acknowledgement before taking Saki's arm and bringing her closer to the two other girls.

"Saakiiii-chaaan!!!" Emu screamed, pouncing onto her.

Saki could faintly hear the three laughing around her, and a small smile formed on her face as the midget practically squeezed the life out of her.

It's nice to have new friends, isn't it...?

If only friends lasted forever, eh?
