|Shadow's POV|

I feel like I've been dragged almost everywhere in Mobius, when I promised Sonic I'd take him everywhere in Mobius, I was kind of joking, but now I kind a don't mind it, after all he deserves the feeling of freedom after all the shit the organization did to him and myself a little bit when I just didn't think he could be stable enough for it.

I just look at Sonic, his scars had healed some what besides the permanent scars like the carving of those words that were on his cheeks and side of his leg from when I said, I was disappointed in him, he rather embraces the scars on his body, though I can tell he rather not have them be talked about but he really isn't one to show much emotions in front of people or mobians that he wasn't closed with, so when he's around only me and Rouge shows some emotions but I can tell that his eyes are just dull and lifeless when he's looking at Rouge or other people but with me they are so full of life that I'm still trying to understand, but it did make me feel special in away, as for that promise well, He deserves it, to see what Mobius has to offer, I kind didn't want him to end up like Infinite because of something that G.U.N did to him and I did in away, isolating him from the the outside world, only him having memory of the outside word from when he fought for us in the war and when he escaped to only get recaptured by people who were gonna traffic him away to be a pet to someone or worst, I have to say thanks to that weird connection we have it made it kind of easy to find him.

He started to point at all the beaches from the sidewalk we were walking on, I had G.U.N rent us out small beach house I wasn't gonna get to swim with me he kind of proved to me that he was very Hydrophobic, I can only imagine the torture that made him that way. But we were just vacationing on one of the islands that Mobius had it wasn't to remote some Mobians and Humans vacation here all the time, it was rather peaceful with so many wildlife reserves, and clear waters with beautiful beaches, forty-two years since he's been created and already he was so full questions that I didn't mind answering, but like I said I didn't stop at this island it was one of the last places I had planned for us to stop I of course took Sonic everyone, he dragged to a lot of places that he was curious about and interested in, we tried a lot of the food of the places went to, but I brought him here because I wanted to asked him the big question, Rouge really wasn't impressed with me that I'm waited two whole years to ask him the big question, Well I just wasn't ready and nor was Sonic, and he still isn't, he can speak now but being unable to for so long he just hadn't unless he really needed to, and I know he still see himself as good enough for me but I'm positive that he was.

|Third Person POV|

Sonic was following Shadow from behind, just holding the ebony hedgehog's hand he really was unsure where the hedgehog was taking him but at the same time he does enjoy a little adventure with his boyfriend even if it ends with them fight in the end.

Shadow soon came to a stop at a clearing, of beautiful scene, that you could find on a post card, the scene was perfect with a view of the open ocean with a few trees resting of both sides of the clearing the wind was blowing through each hedgehog quills the blue hedgehog's eyes lit up at the sight.

"Shadow this is amazing?" Sonic said looking at the sight before him.

Shadow took a deep breath and pulls out a small box out of his pockets it was now or never and the black and red hedgehog had two years to plan this out and he wanted to make up for not taking the hedgehog on dates cause of him feeling to ensure of himself to the point that he were just lose sleep over just taking down to himself, but this time, the ebony hedgehog just felt like Sonic was the one and it wasn't just because they are opposites but because he just felt a connection with him, a connection that him and his dead friend had when he was still on the Ark.

"Sonic?" Shadow started before getting down on one knee in front of the blue hedgehog, "Sonic you kind of complete me more than you think, when I felt your energy, and the two years we were together and all the hardships you put me through, we still fight and those are the one, but we still make up, Sonic will you Marry me?" The ebony hedgehog finished opening the small box to show the azure hedgehog a silver diamond engagement ring.

Sonic only blinks, he didn't know how to feel about this, he had so many mixed emotions, but he held his out and nodded, he was honestly just not trying cry his eyes out, cause for once in his life he's been feeling other emotions that he really couldn't explain, other emotions that were far different from agony and pain, when the ring was placed on his finger he just pulls himself closer to Shadow and just hugs him.

Shadow could feel the tears on Sonic's cheeks with his just nuzzles into the other hedgehog's neck, he just embraced the azure hedgehog. He wasn't gonna let anything or anyone hurt him again, the silence was soon broken by the azure hedgehog speaking.

"Thanks for showing me around Mobius...I have never felt so free before" Sonic admits pulling himself away from the other hedgehog.

"Hey I promised you didn't I" Shadow admits before just holding his hand out. "Come on its getting late, and I know a good restaurant that you mind enjoy to celebrate"

Sonic only smiled and takes the other hedgehog's hand letting the ebony hedgehog lead him out of the clearing, he preferred that they walked, it helps him get the feel of the area that he was around, he kind of had a photographic memory when he was running around the place so he could get a feel of everything is, but this time he was taking things slow only because he felt bad for just bolting off leaving Shadow in the dust, he did enjoy running and the feel of his quills being blown back by the wind. A satisfying sigh escapes his lips as he sped up his walking to keep up with Shadow.
