Sonic just makes a noise as his eyes flutter open. He looked to see that their were bars in front of his face and he puts his hands on the bars his eyes looking around to see what was going on. There were people coming and going, other animals doing the same a small whimper escapes his throat.

"Ah you're awake" Sonic's eyes darted to look at the person that was talking to him and his eyes wears met the human that he ran into back in the woods, he thought he could trust the man but apparently he couldn't. The hedgehog has a sad look on his face everywhere he went he was always met with the same fate, stuck and in containment.

"Awe I'm sure someone here would take you to a good home after all your the first rare mobian i've selling" Sonic blinks at the term that was used to describe what he was, but it didn't make him feel happy, if anything it made him feel hopeless. The first chance he got at freedom ended up being a trick to another containment. He just sat back in the cage, it was the only thing he could do he didn't have the strength to pull apart the bars.

"Excuse me how much are you selling for this one?"

Sonic's eyes turned to look at a familiar color of fur, white gloves and golden bracelets on his wrists a single red striped leading down to his hand, it was Shadow, the hedgehog that he met two days ago.

Shadow just folds his arms and pulls out his credit card, the blue hedgehog wasn't surprised that the ebony hedgehog would have that kind of money.

The man only held his up and started up the cash register, the clipboard was handed to the ebony hedgehog and signed it before handing it back to the human and picking the cage that the azure hedgehog was in.

His ear twitched when the door was unlocked.

Shadow puts the cage down before kneeling down to look at Sonic "I wasn't gonna take you back...after all shit I seen they done to you"

Sonic only blinks he didn't know how to respond to that, but his cage door was opened and the blue hedgehog just crawled out. This was Shadow's house, it looked so nice and not like a concrete wall, it was roomy with an upside balcony looking out to the living room.

"Just don't escape, this is probably the only safest place" Shadow said just taking off his jacket.

Sonic finally a got to have a look at his legs they were wrapped up in bandages they were still numb same with his arms he looked at his shoes they were new and didn't looked worn out.

Shadow grabs a hold of Sonic's arm cause the hedgehog to yelp at the sudden touch but he was pulled anyways to follow after Shadow into another room. The room looked to be the kitchen of the house, with white cabinets and a stove, above the stove was a microwave, a fridge in the corner of the kitchen a dining area a bar with stools, a dishwasher and a sink, but on the dining table were plates of food, and a familiar looking bat who was just sitting on the counter, she just waves at Shadow.

Sonic only looked at the food he hadn't really eaten anything since six months ago, and if he had eaten it wasn't food but random vitamins that you could find in normal foods, he doesn't even remember what food even taste like, but his stomach was growling at him, he knew Shadow had let go of his arm.

C-Can I really eat this?

"Well that's why I cooked it"

Sonic only blinks he didn't understand what was going on, did Shadow poison the food if he cooked it. The blue hedgehog only shakes his head but he just to the table and took a bite of the food and his eyes light up before he just started to stuff his face.

"Well I'm glad they gave you that watch Shadow" The Bat said getting off of the counter. "But he's under your care now so I don't expect you to miss treat him...but just to understand that something isn't right with that hedgehog, Mentally" The bat added before walking away to head upstairs to call in for the day.

Shadow already know that after all he saw it first hand with the those guards, as much as he hated to keep the blue hedgehog locked up but it's for his own safety at least he wasn't gonna be alone this time and the bat had an apartment on the second floor. He was just gotta make sure the hedgehog doesn't feel threatened, after all he doesn't have any idea how many tests, and torture, they put the blue hedgehog through.
