"How it is going?" A Human wearing a lab coat, behind them was a chamber that was filled with liquid with a hedgehog floating inside it, their was an oxygen mask on its pale peach muzzle, a wire attached to a something that was on it chest to keep an eye on its heartbeat, the hedgehog is a live and is showing signs of being a live but just hadn't moved yet, the other human that first one was talking to was looking a four gemstones, color's ranging from, green, blue, cyan, and white, the human has been studying these gemstones, the stones are just giving off strong energy. "We are still missing three of these emeralds?" The human spoke before standing up and putting the four gemstones in the holder that was attached to the testing chamber. There was four more slots one of which being bigger than other three stones.

"That's not what I meant...The Commander is antsy, and not believing the public's opinion on Project Shadow" The one human said, their eyes shifting to the hedgehog that was in a deep slumber, the two humans who were assigned to study and create such a creature using blueprints from a former mad scientist, who that went by the name, of Gerald Robotnik, things had to be change from the original blueprints, the two humans in lab coats were only following orders from this so called Commander, who wanted to created something, to counter the Scientist's work, and using what he believed a good source of energy, these eight emeralds of pure energy.

"I know what you meant Thomas...and I'm telling you that unless we get those other emeralds Project S will forever remain in a deep slumber" The second Human said grabbing their clipboard, a sigh escapes Thomas's mouth, at least the hedgehog is alive but as to how they are gonna keep this creature under control is beyond anyones guesses.

"I had our only Agent go out to search, with that device of herself finding these emeralds will be a piece of cake" Thomas said running his hand through his messy black hair, him and his friend had been working on this project since thirty years unaware of if they are even gonna get paid.

Before the other human could say something their was an alarm gooding in the building, the two humans scramble to get to their computers to see what the issue was after all being only ones in the building, fifty meters below the earth's surface they are very much at risk of an earthquake ruining their studies or worst messing with their project.

"What is going on Kyle!" Thomas asked his work partner as he was typing away on the computer the signs of the creature in the chamber were going off the charts, because of this uncomfortable surge of chaos energy.

"Hold on..." Kyle responded typing away on the computer to get everything to calm down, this isn't the first time the two had gotten a spike of energy from the subject in the chamber, to their understanding it was only the creatures absorbing the chaos energy from the emeralds that the chamber was using for a source of power and resources to bring this creature to life.

Unknowns to them however the hedgehog's closed eyes had started bleeding staining it's muzzle with its own blood, the neon blue markers on the hedgehog's face mostly on the corner of its eyes had turned a darker shade of blue, the glowing emeralds started to get glow dimmer, before they turned black completely. The two humans didn't seem to acknowledge after all their jobs were on the line if they didn't find away to turn off the alarm and get everything stable.

"And Done!" Kyle said hitting enter on the keyboard, the alarm turns off, the male just flops back onto his chair with a sigh of relief, wiping the sweat away from his forehead.

"This is the sixth time this week...I know when the Commander said follow the blueprints to a tea, and just change it up a bit, by getting rid of the alien DNA I didn't think this thing would be able to suck out all of this energy" Thomas said his green eyes turning to look at his friend who's blue eyes looked back at him the two males had been childhood friends since the very beginning, and had always dreamed of working for this Organization together and now they have, the male with freckles and dark brown heir just lets out a sigh.

"Let's just hope when that Agent brings back those other emeralds we can finally release this creature...I'm kind of getting sick of looking at it sleep and running blood tests on this thing that doesn't even have a name" Kyle said just resting his head in his hands.

Before Thomas could say anything there was a small beeping sound from the messaging machine that was in the lab. Kyle presses the green button on the machine "Yes?"

"Agent Thomas and Agent Kyle?"

"This is them, yes?"

"Good, Agent Rouge had a returned with the one of the gemstones"

"That's good news, We are on our way Commander" Kyle said letting go of the button on the machine and grabbing the clipboard that was next to him that had today's notes about the creature's vinyl studies and current brain activity, each passing day the subject seems to be getting active but just not enough to the point that he can be released out to the public and help the organization hunt down the major threat being their rival Evil Scientist, and Project Shadow. The two humans adjusted themselves to look somewhat presentable, having to been sleeping at their desks or not sleep at all, their work stations being covered in trash and papers, the two had rarely left only if it's receive the so called emeralds or get something to eat or use the restroom. The elevator soon takes off to the upper floors.

The emeralds had returned to their normal glow as well as the markings on the hedgehogs's face had went back to that bright neon color.

On the upper level of the building there were a lot of people walking around wearing uniforms, with a symbol on it, the organization looks like something you'd see out of the movies of something similar to Area Fifty-One or some horror game about an organization that contains dangerous creatures inside the building that can kill you if you so happen to blink.

A man with a buzz cut and wearing what looked to be a military leader outfit, was talking to an female white bat that was wearing a uniform that all the other humans were wearing, around her gloved wrist was device that looked to be a tracker, hanging from her big bat ears was an ear piece that allowed her to ear in coming calls from the organization over her left eye was a scouter that helped her treasure hunt and spy, in her hand was a yellow glowing gemstone as much as she wanted to keep it she as to follow orders, in her other hand was a glowing red gemstone.

Thomas and Kyle stepped out of the elevator and made their way down the hallway, a lot of soldiers training in the many rooms, not many humans trained in were much like Kyle and Thomas, or engineers that were hired to help design robot guards and security.

"Ah there you two are, so how are things going with Project S?" The Welling Dressed man asked the two.

"Well here's the notes Commander, we only another spike of electricity, today but nothing that we can't handle" Kyle said handing over the clip board over the man.

The man takes the clipboard and started to read...or rather skim through the information.

"So about those emeralds?"

"I got them right here, this only leaves three more am I correct?" The bat said handing over the glowing gems over to Thomas.

"Indeed, we already know where the that big green emerald is, getting that echidna away from it will be the tricky part, as for the other two. Like a treasure hunter like yourself that should be hard for you find" Thomas said with and hand on his chin as he just puts the gems in his pockets.

"Yes, and I can seen Project S is coming along great" The Commander said giving the clipboard back to Kyle.

The two men in lab coats only nod.

"I only have a feeling Ivo is planning something big...and with Project Shadow running around...the citizens are in nothing but fear..." The Commander stated, or rather what he wants to believe he's only following orders of what the president wants for his citizens, which is one of the reasons why he was funding this project in the first place. "Now get back work you three, this project is as good as coming to live" he added as he started his way down the hallways to get back to his office.

"I may have away of slipping that emerald from that echidna as for the other two, Agent Fiona is on that" Agent Rouge said before her wings spread out.

"We trust you Agent Rouge.." Kyle responded before turning with to head back to the elevator, to get back to the laboratory.

The three went there separate ways to get back to work, the bat going back to her treasure hunting job and the two humans head back to the elevator to get back to this so called Project of they're, though the still stands how will this hedgehog react to when it wakes up, will it be just like Project Shadow and attack the agents out of fear or will it be corporative with the organization.

Thomas only shakes his head, he was holding the two stones in his hands when he walked up to the chamber the gems that were already hooked up the chamber started to glow bright when the other two gemstones were brought close this kind of thing wasn't new to the man he just puts the gems in place  and steps back. His friend was typing way before hitting the enter key.

There was small spark coming of the of the machine before the gemstones started to cause a malfunction.

Kyle and Thomas typing away on the computers were rather use to the machine turning itself off it was to safety measure so that the machine didn't blow up in their faces after all this hedgehog wasn't the first experiment they have done, it was first successful experiment that the two had of creating the second ultimate life form with only the blueprints of the first. Soon the machine started back up and the hedgehog's vinyls started to come back on the computer.

"Heartbeat?"

"Normal"

"Brainwave Patterns?"

"Normal"

"Everything else looks good to me the emeralds energy is getting to hundred percent" Kyle said.

"I can't believe this...after nine attempts, we have finally succeeded" Thomas said looking at the sleeping hedgehog in the chamber.

"Don't get to attached...We don't even know what this thing is cable of yet" Kyle said looking back at his friend.

Thomas only shakes his head a sigh escapes his lips before he just flopped down onto his chair, thirty years that they've been working on this project and it's almost complete.

"Let's just hope we get a raise for this..."
