Final A/N
I just realized I never posted this but I
Just want to thank you all for reading 'project Romanov.' I've had so much fun writing this and reading your comments.
I've always been into Romanov history since I was little and have wanted to write a book about it for a while now. A lot of research went into this book to make sure I got a lot of facts right.
Things that are true
I briefly mentioned the family having to cut their hair to measles the following year and that is true. They had to shave their heads so they wouldn't get infected.
It's also true that the family stayed at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg when they were sent to exile. That was their home for the few months that they stayed there.
Yurovsky was a real person. He was the man in charge of the slaughter of the royal family and let the attack.
They did start close the Russian borders leading up to the revolution.
What's false
Sadly, Viktor and Leonid are just made up characters. Their may be people with that name somewhere in the world, but their mostly just characters I made up with my own imagination.
Anastasia did not survive the murder. Her and her brothers body's were found nearby the place where the rest of the family's body's were in 2007, disproving the fact that they might have lived. Her story inspired many things, such as the 1997 film Anastasia and the 2017 broadway musical with the same name.
