The camera opens with REI, the host, sitting on a stool with a tarpaulin with the logo of the show behind her. On her right are five other stools. REI clears her throat and greets the camera.

[REI]: Hello, everyone! It's me again! I hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long~

[REI]: Now, I know you all are very excited to see our 32 trainees vying for a spot in the world's first ever Pokemon K-pop group...

[REI]: ...but aren't you also curious as to who will help train them throughout their journey?

[REI]: Yeah...to help our 32 trainees further develop and refine their skills, we've enlisted the help of 5 *shows 5 fingers* idols with enough experience to help out our trainees.

[REI]: So...are you guys ready to meet them?

Awkward silence ensues.

[REI]: Okay, let's go! We're going to start with the vocal trainers...

[REI]: Our first trainer debuted during the pandemic era, but that wasn't enough to stop her group from skyrocketing to fame! She's often described as one of the best vocalists of the 4th generation for hitting high high notes, and also as someone with an incredibly adorable and endearing personality.

[REI]: Please welcome...SIEUN from STAYC!

SIEUN

STAYC | VOCAL TRAINER

SIEUN waves at REI and to the camera before sitting on the leftmost seat.

[REI]: Welcome, Sieun sunbaenim! So...how are you feeling about this project in general?

[SIEUN]: Um...for me...I'm, like, lowkey excited and I'm super super honored to be a part of this project.

[SIEUN]: I think it's a really interesting but also really cute idea to have a Pokemon survival show. I don't think we have a group in K-pop that's just Pokemon so I think that...the group is definitely going to bring something new to the table.

[SIEUN]: Plus, I can't wait to see all the adorable stages the trainees are going to give us so... *chuckles*

[REI]: Alright, thank you Sieun sunbaenim! Now moving on to our next vocal mentor...

[REI]: Our other vocal trainer has a wide range of accolades, from survival show veteran to music producer to main vocalist!

[REI]: Please welcome...HUI from PENTAGON!

HUI

SIEUN and REI bow and greet HUI as he sits down next to SIEUN.

[REI]: Welcome Hui sunbaenim!

[REI]: So...we've got a wiiiide range of trainees chosen. Fire types to dragon types, small and big...all that stuff.

[REI]: What, in your opinion, is the ideal Pokemon to debut?

[HUI]: The ideal Pokemon to debut? Hmm...

HUI thinks to himself for a while.

[HUI]: For me...type definitely doesn't matter. It's useless in my opinion when it comes to picking idols.

[HUI]: I think the ideal Pokemon to debut is just the same as the ideal human to debut: talented, hardworking and filled to the brim with passion.

[REI]: And that's all our vocal trainers! Now, let's move on to our dance trainers and trust me guys...we've got quite the lineup.

[REI]: Our 1st dance trainer is known as one of 2nd gen's greatest legends. Dubbed the King of K-pop, he's known for being exceptionally well with his dance, and most notably, his stage presence.

[REI]: Please welcome...TAEMIN from SHINee!

TAEMIN

SHINee | DANCE TRAINER

As TAEMIN enters the room, everyone's eyes fall on him as he sits down.

[REI]: Welcome Taemin sunbaenim! We're so honored to have you as a judge!

[TAEMIN]: It's a pleasure to work with you all.

[REI]: So, you've been an idol for almost...17 years now? Wow, that's amazing...

[REI]: What should these trainees look forward to once they make their debuts–whether through this show or outside this show?

[TAEMIN]: *sucks in teeth* Well, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it...it's not going to be easy for them. Them winning this survival show isn't going to exempt them from the rigorous training they had to endure as contestants on this show.

[TAEMIN]: However, one thing they should be looking forward to is the bond that they'll form with one another. It's corny but it's kind of the truth.

[SIEUN]: And if I may chime in, you get to meet people from all around the world who will be your ride-or-dies. It's...it feels amazing and it's gratifying.

[REI]: Thank you Taemin sunbaenim and Sieun sunbaenim as well!

[REI]: Our OTHER dance trainer is another legend among our roster. Not only is she a member of one of Korea's biggest girl groups, she's also known as the group's dance machine. She's a fellow Japanese too!

[REI]: Please welcome...MOMO from TWICE!

MOMO

TWICE | DANCE TRAINER

Everyone starts clapping for MOMO as she enters, causing her to look confused before laughing awkwardly and sitting down.

[REI]: Welcome Momo sunbaenim! We're so happy to have you as a judge!

[MOMO]: Likewise...I cannot wait to meet all the trainees.

[REI]: Ah! Speaking of trainees...what are your expectations for the trainees?

[MOMO]: Eh...

[MOMO]: ...to be good?

Everyone in the room bursts into raucous laughter, including MOMO.

[MOMO]: Alright, but on a more serious note...I guess I'd want these trainees to not only listen to our feedback but also take action based on it. Otherwise...our roles as trainers are for nothing.

[REI]: Thank you, Momo sunbaenim! Finally, we'll move on to the rap trainer...and what other trainer is better suited for a Pokemon survival show...than the first ever Pokemon K-pop Idol?

[REI]: As a Torracat, he made K-pop history by placing 8th on Produce X 101, thus not only becoming a member of the ill-fated group X1, but also becoming the first ever Pokemon to debut in a K-pop group. Since then, he has opened the doors for Pokemon to debut in K-pop groups and is enjoying the soloist life.

[REI]: Please welcome...KAWANABE RAIHO!

KAWANABE RAIHO

X1/SOLOIST | RAP TRAINER

The room erupts into cheers as RAIHO enters the room, flashing a couple of poses before finally sitting down.

[REI]: Welcome RAIHO sunbaenim! It's a bit of a full circle moment, isn't it?

[RAIHO]: Heh heh...it is. Feels like only yesterday I was a Torracat on Produce X 101, dreaming of being an idol and now, I'm helping Pokemon debut...kinda crazy, now that I think about it.

[REI]: Indeed it is!~

[REI]: So having said that, since you're a Pokemon with survival show experience...what are our trainees in for coming into this show?

[RAIHO]: Oh boy, they're in for a lot...Practices that extend up until the late night, performing for lots and lots of people, the fact that your fate is determined by a bunch of randos online...maybe strict mentors?

[RAIHO]: I mean, I'm going to go a bit easy on them, given I was in the same position as them. Can't say the same about the other mentors...

The room bursts into laughter once more.

[MOMO]: Hey! *slaps Taekyeol's shoulder lightly*

[RAIHO]: I don't know, maybe some of you guys are strict as hell...

[HUI]: C'mon dude...look at Sieun! Does she look like she'd yell at a trainee?

[REI]: Okay, okay! Let's stop fighting please...

[REI]: Anyways, these are the five trainers that will mentor our thirty two trainees! As you can see, we've got a pretty stacked lineup.

[REI]: Now, I've gotta ask our mentors...who's excited to meet our trainees?

All mentors excitedly raise their hands, especially MOMO and SIEUN.

[REI]: Awesome! I can totally feel the excitement from you all. And, I can tell that our viewers are also brimming with excitement too...

[REI]: Well, I hope you all stay tuned, but for now...goodbye!

Both REI and the mentors wave goodbye to the camera.
