"So are you gonna tell us who you are? Or are you just gonna sit there and look pretty?" Bucky asked the girl who now sat across from the men. They sat at a metal table right outside of the Smithsonian of National Air and Space. The two men sipped on coffees, decaf for Steve and caffeinated for Bucky. While Heather sipped happily on a hot chocolate. The sun had begun to set and a nicely crisp chill settled in the air. The warm beverages were greatly appreciated between the three to confront the coldness of the dusk. Heather grinned slightly at his comment. "I would love to tell you," she began as she took a sip from her hot chocolate. "But where's the fun in that?"
"Fun?" Bucky repeated her words with a scrunched up look on his face. Heather shrugged before looking at him intently with her blue eyes. "They fixed you up good, huh?" She asked and her demeanor became much more serious. Steve looked at her and then at Bucky. "I know all about you, James Buchanan Barnes." She added as she leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms over her chest. "It took me a few years, but the moment I saw those blue eyes of yours at that 'Captain America Exhibit' I knew exactly who you were." Bucky cocked his chin to one side. He was now much more curious about the girl then he was before. "And who would that be?" Heather didn't even miss a beat. "The Winter Soldier, of course."
Bucky tensed at the mention of his former identity with HYDRA. Steve could sense the rise in tension and his eyes went from his friend to Heather. "How did you know that?" He asked intently. "Who are you?" He added. "I would say I'm surprised he doesn't remember." Heather said as she tilted her chin in Bucky's direction. "But after everything I'm sure HYDRA put him through after I ran away... well let's just say I'm not surprised." Bucky focused on her once more. How could someone so small and fresh - for lack of a better word - have worked for HYDRA? This woman looked like any other civilian local in their twenties, sure her style was a little old fashioned - not as old fashioned as Steve and Bucky could be - but still, Bucky could tell it wasn't modern. He had heard some people describe it as 80's retro. Converse shoes, wavy hair, baggy jeans that were cuffed at the bottom, and a slick tight cropped top with red and white stripes. Not to mention the hoop earrings that dangle gracefully from her ears and the silver silk scrunchy around her wrist. "Did you say you worked for HYDRA?" Heather's eyes became narrow and something that Bucky could only describe as a silver spark flickered in her eyes for only a mere second. "I did."
