Drew's POV

Gary, Ash and I woke up extra early, so we could set up the Christmas tree. The girls wanted to decorate it, but since Gary and I are annoying, we're going to do that, and we forced Ash to help. But, we'd have to be quiet, since we don't want to wake anyone. After the tree was set up, we grabbed the decorating and started. 'Gary, the whole tree has to be decorated, not just that one part. You have to do it more equally,' commented. He rolled his eyes, as I went on. But after a while, I felt something wasn't right. I looked around and saw Ash and Gary standing behind me, holding their laughter. I looked confused at him, but he just pointed at my hair. I ran my hand through my hair, as I felt something. Now Gary bursted out laughing. 'GARY!' I yelled angry. That bastard had put some of the decoration in my hair! 'W-what?' he asked, still laughing. 'Oh, you're going to get it!' I yelled. He got the hint and started running. 'I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS YOUR HAIR! IT LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE THE TREE!' he yelled. 'What is this about?' someone asked. In the door opening stood an angry Leaf and Misty, a sleepy May and a confused Dawn. 'THIS IDIOT!' I yelled. 'Drew, what's that in your hair?' May asked drowsy. I stopped running to get the decoration out of my hair. May's eyes lit up. 'Aw, that's cute! You're a Christmas tree!' she chirped. 'No, I'm not!' I said angry. Then Dawn spoke up. 'W-were you going to decorate without us?' she asked. 'Ehm... Gary will answer that question for you,' I said quickly. 'Hey!' he said angry. 'You deserved it,' I said back. 'Ash is going to answer it!' he said. 'No, I'm not!' he protested. 'Just answer the damn question!' Misty yelled. 'Well... We're done already,' Gary said. 'GARY OAK!' Leaf yelled angry. 'HEY! WE WANTED TO DO THAT!' May yelled. I saw Dawn getting angry as well, but then we heard someone coming down the stairs. 'What the heck is going on here?' an angry voice asked. I looked back at Dawn and she had an evil smirk on her face, Gary saw it too. When Paul appeared, the smirk was gone, and she started crying. 'T-they are d-decorating w-without m-me,' she said softly. I saw Paul getting angry. THAT BI- 'Come on, RUN!' Gary whisper-yelled in my ear as we set of to running.

May's POV

'Aren't you going chase them or something?' Leaf asked Paul. 'No, they're going to be away for a while, so you can decorate,' he said shrugging. 'Thanks!' Dawn chirped as she tackled him in a hug. Paul smiled a little. Aww! 'Come on!' I said pulling Misty to the tree.

It was 7 o'clock. The ball would start around 8, so we were going around 9, because, according to Dawn, you must be fashionably late. 'May! What are you doing?!' Dawn screamed in my ear. 'Playing a game. Why?' I asked, not looking up from my phone. 'You have to get ready for the ball!' she said. 'I got two more hours, I'll make it,' I said casually, hoping she would drop it. 'I don't care, come on!' she said, grabbing my phone. 'Hey! Give it back!' I whined. 'No. Now go get Misty and Leaf, I wanna do their make-up as well!' she demanded me. I sighed and stood up. When we got back, Dawn had stalled all her make-up on her bed. 'Who want's first?'

After an hour, Dawn was finished with all four of us. 'See May, we got only one more hour for our hair and dresses. Can you please do my hair?' she asked me. 'Sure,' I said grabbing the brush. 'Oh, and do Leaf's and Mist's as well, would ya?' she "asked". 'Whatevs'.

When we were all done, we went downstairs, where everybody was waiting for us. I was expecting a comment from Drew or Gary about how late we were, but they were unusually quiet. Why? 'We're done, let's go!' Dawn chirped. 'Milady,' Gary said with a bow. 'Please don't do that ever again,' I said emotionless. 'What you wish,' he said shrugging. We were on our way to the school where the ball was held. 'I'll be right back,' I said to Gary as I slowed my pace. When I reached Iris, I grabbed her arm. 'Hey Brendan, do you mind if I borrow Iris for a while?' I asked with a giggle. 'Eh, sure,' he answered confused. I pulled Iris apart. 'You know the plan?' I asked her. 'Yeah, you'll take care of Gary, I'll make sure Leaf will be under the mistletoe,' she said grinning. 'Yeah, I just hope there are mistletoes,' I said. 'Of course! It's a Christmas ball!' she answered.

We entered the building. I looked around in awe. It was beautiful! 'Whelp, May, see you later!' he said, as he started to walk away. 'Hey! Don't leave me behind! Where are you going?' I asked. 'Me and the guys are performing some songs,' he said casually. 'Oh yeah! You four formed a band once! Why did you quit again?' I asked him. 'That doesn't matter! Gotta go now, see ya later!' he said walking off. I went back to the girls who were standing by the food. My eyes grew wide as I smelled all the delicious food that was stalled there. But before I could grab something, Leaf and Misty were dragging me away. 'Not yet! The night has just begun!' Misty said. We walked over to a table that was still empty. Suddenly we heard a loud voice. 'Please don't throw up again,' the voice said. Drew! 'I'm not going to throw up!' another voice said. 'That was Drew and Gary!' I said to the girls. 'Yeah, but, where are they?' Dawn asked. 'Are you sure about that?' a third voice asked. That was Ash. 'Yes!' Gary answered angry. 'We're just making sure,' Drew said again. 'Guys... you know your mics are on, right?' somebody else asked. Paul. Some people laughed. 'Idiots,' Misty commented. I looked to the stage, where the four guys appeared. Ash stood behind the drums, Paul with a keyboard, Drew with a bass and Gary with a guitar.

Drew's POV (earlier that day)

We were waiting for the last four to come down. Why is it always them that are late? 'Can't we just leave already?' I asked. 'No,' Paul answered. 'Fine,' I muttered. I don't like waiting. When they finally came downstairs, I wanted to make a comment about how late they were, but somehow, I couldn't. I was speechless when I saw May. Man, she looked cute! I quickly looked away, not wanting anyone to see that I was blushing. When we were walking to school, Leaf walked beside me. 'How's the lover boy doing?' she asked with a smirk. 'No comment,' I answered. 'Wow, you almost sound like Paul! Don't have to be so rude you know?' she said grinning. 'Hmpf'. 'And now you're exactly like Paul. I hope Dawn and May know which one of you is their boyfriend,' she continued teasing. 'May is not my girlfriend,' I said looking away. 'But you wish she was,' she said. 'I do not'. 'Whatever you say,' she said, dropping the subject. Finally.

'Come on!' Ash yelled happily as he dragged me backstage. 'Which song are you going to do first? And second?' professor Oak asked us. 'Uptown Funk first and second Classic, is that okay?' Gary asked. 'Sure, you're up in two minutes,' he said walking away. 'Please don't throw up again,' I asked Gary. 'I'm not going to throw up!' he said to me. 'Are you sure about that?' Ash asked. 'Yes!' he said angrily. 'We're just making sure,' I said raising my hands. 'Guys... you know your mics are on, right?' Paul asked. '...'. 'You're up!' the prof said. we quickly went up the stage. The lights were blinding me, but I could see May sitting at a table. I winked at her. I couldn't see it, but I just knew she rolled her eyes.

May's POV

I rolled my eyes. Idiot. But I had to admit, they were good. Like, really good. After they were done, I immediately went to Iris, who was talking to Brendan. 'Come on Iris, our mission has begun!' I chirped above the loud music. She said something to Brendan and walked over to me. 'We meet over there,' she said, pointing at a mistletoe in the corner. 'Okay, Leaf is over there,' I answered, before walking of to search for Gary, while Iris went to Leaf. 'Gary!' I yelled when I saw him. 'May!' he yelled in the same tone. 'Come on, I have to show you something!' I said grabbing his arm. From the corner of my eye, I saw Drew looking angry at Gary. 'By the way, you guys were awesome,' I said with a wink, before walking away with Gary.

I looked to the corner where we were supposed to meet, and I saw Iris standing there with Leaf. Iris was talking to her, when Gary and I arrived. 'Hi there!' I said happily. 'May, what's the big idea?' Gary asked. 'Oh, would you look at that,' Iris said dramatically. Leaf and Gary looked confused. I pointed above them. Gary wanted to walk away, but I stopped him. 'Nope, if you want to get away here, you'd have to kiss her first,' I said. nobody responded. 'Well, if it isn't going to happen, you must know that I can yell really hard, and then the whole school will see you two standing here, and then you'd have to kiss in front of the whole school. The choice is yours,' I continued with a smirk. Gary still didn't say anything. 'Well?' Iris asked looking at the two. Gary turned to Leaf and planted a quick kiss on her lips. They both started blushing like crazy while Iris and I were fangirling. 'MAPLE! ARIUSU! YOU TWO ARE DEAD!' Leaf yelled. 'Quick, split up, she can't catch us both!' Iris yelled to me as we both started to run. I looked around and saw Leaf chose to chase me. Perfect.... I tried to make a way through the crowd, but they were moving to much, which mad it almost impossible. I needed their attention. A quick idea popped up in my head when I saw Meadow and Barry. I pushed both to one side. They both looked confused at me, while I was smirking. When they were in the right place, I screamed at the top of my longs. 'LOOK! MEADOW AND BARRY ARE UNDER THE MISTLETOE!' Everybody turned their heads to where I was standing. Perfect! I quickly ran away, while Meadow and Barry were stuck, because everyone was watching them. 'MAY MAPLE! GET YOUR AS-' I heard Meadow scream. I looked around to see why she stopped, and saw Barry kissing her. AWW!!
'I'M GONNA FINE YOU, MAPLE!' Barry yelled. Oh crap. 'May!' Brendan stood in front of me. 'Sorry Brendan, not a good time now,' I apologized as I ran away. 'May! Wait!' Brendan yelled after me. I looked around and saw him walking after me, when I bumped in to someone.

'May?' 'SAPPHIRE! Thank god! You got to help me! Oh, hi Pearl!' I said. Sapphire is my older cousin. 'What is it?' she asked. 'Leaf, Meadow, Barry, Brendan and probably Gary are chasing me,' I explained what I did. 'May, you brilliant idiot. I'll stop them for a while. Go to the girls' bathroom, there you'll be safe for a while,' she said. 'Thank you!' I said. 'WHERE IS SHE!?' I heard Barry yell from behind. I quickly ran away, like Sapphire told me to do.

Misty's POV

As I watched Leaf chasing May, which was quite amusing, someone tapped my shoulder. 'Oh, hi Iris,' I said a little disappointed. 'What? Not happy to see me?' she said joking as she sat next to me. 'No, no! It's just...' why was I disappointed? 'You wanted to see someone else, didn't you?' she asked. 'No, why would I?' I answered. 'Oh, come on, don't deny it. You've been avoiding Ash the whole day and he let you, while you wanted him to make it up. You two had a fight, but not like your usual fights, this was a sensitive topic,' she guessed. 'H-how do you know that?' I asked surprised. She was right, Ash and I had a fight, this morning, about our parents. I knew his father had left him when he was young and how much it hurts him. I was stupid, I knew how hard it was for him! Then he started talking about my parents, and it became worse. But I started it... 'Darling, I know everything. But you must go to him. He's a kid, he's not coming to you. Good luck,' she said leaving me alone. She's right, but I have a pride too. I can't go to that idiot, I'm not an idiot! 'Hey, Mist?' a voice said behind me. 'Ash!?' I asked surprised. 'Eh, yeah... I'm sorry about this morning,' he said looking down. 'Ash... It's not your fault, I started it. I'm the one that should apologize,' I said. 'But I made it worse,' he said back. 'I'm sorry, Ash,' I apologized. 'Me too, Mist. Friends?' Ash asked, holding out his hand. 'Friends,' I said with a smile, shaking his hand. But before I could let go, he pulled me to the dance floor. 'Come on, this is fun!' he said smiling, while he started to dance. Well, he attempted to, but it looked awful. Stupid, cute, idiot...

May's POV

While I hid in the girls' bathroom, I heard a slow song coming up. Perfect! That means everybody would be focused on their partner and I can get away! I sneaked out of the bathroom, but soon I was stopped again. A hand grabbed my wrist. 'What the hell, May?' I turned around and saw a confused grasshead standing there. 'What did you do? Leaf and Barr almost killed me asking where you were!' he said. 'Eh... I may or may not have pushed them under a mistletoe...' I said innocently. 'Barry and Leaf? I thought you were a supporter of Gary and Leaf,' he said, even more confused. 'No! not those two! Iris and I brought Gary and Leaf together, and while escaping, Barry and Meadow stood in my way, so... yeah,' I said grinning. He sighed. 'Well, they're probably not giving up soon. Come on,' he said, pulling me to the exit. 'Where are we going?' I asked confused. 'Home,' he answered. We walked in silence. 'Drew? We need to go that way,' I said pointing to the opposite direction we were walking to. 'I know,' was his answer. I just rolled with it. 'Where are we going?' I asked, growing curious. 'Just wait,' he answered. My feet were getting tired, when the road started going upward. When we reached the top, Drew lead me to the edge. 'Beautiful,' I whispered. I could see the whole city! 'Look! There's the school!' I pointed to the building. Drew just silently smiled. 'Why have you brought me here?' I asked, looking at him. 'I don't know, actually. I thought you'd like it,' he said shrugging. 'I don't like it, I love it!' he said tackling him in a hug. Suddenly the silence was disturbed as we heard noise coming from the people that were leaving the school building. 'The dance is over, so that means it's already midnight!' I said surprised. I had no idea it was this late already! 'Should we head back?' I asked. 'Can we stay a little longer?' Drew asked. 'Sure,' I said with a smile. My legs were tired, so I sat down on a bench, while Drew sat next to me.

'Thank you,' I whispered, leaning me head on his shoulder.
