'So uhm...' Gary said awkward scratching the back of his head. The whole class stood in front of the school, waiting for someone to do something, for a sign. I was really awkward. 'What were the rules again?' he continued. 'Well, you have to hold hands in the hallways, and sit together in the classes you and your partner share. Also you have to be with each other as much as possible,' Barry said. 'Great,' I muttered. 'Don't worry, Gary isn't THAT bad,' Dawn whispered in my ear. 'Yeah whatever,' I said rolling my eyes. 'Well May-May, I don't want to be late thanks to you. Which subject do you have?' Gary said. 'May-may? Really? But I have Chemistry next,' I answered to his question. 'Me too! We have some chemistry going on here, don't we,' he said with a wink and a smirk. 'Stop, just stop, please...' I sighed. 'What? Not pleased with my charming move?' 'No'. 'Well, than, shall we?' he said bowing. This was going to be a long 3 months...

'Why are you all sitting in different places?' professor Juniper. 'Well, professor Oak-' 'Came up with a new project, of course,' she sighed, finishing my sentence. 'So, what's it about this time?' she asked looking around. 'We got paired up and have to spend 3 months together. He wants to see if we can fall in love with each other in that time,' Clemont answered. 'I'm really sorry for you, but I'm afraid I can't help you, professor Oak won't listen to anyone,' she said. 'Well, let's go back to the subject!'

'LEAF! HELP!' I screamed as I let Gary's hand go. 'How the apple do you handle this guy?!' 'Hey I'm not that bad! You could've been paired up with Clemont!' he said appearing behind me. 'Hey Clemont is a sweet guy! Don't talk bad about him,' I said turning around. I mouthed Leaf another 'Help' as I sat down. 'Hey we have to sit together!' Gary said.

'Then sit!'

'I'm not going to sit with girls!'

'Then don't sit with me'.

'But we have to!'

'Then sit and stop whining!'

'Fine...'

'Besides, since Leaf, Dawn and Misty are sitting here, Drew, Paul and Ash have to sit here to,' I said with a innocent smile. 'Hmpf,' was his response.

'I'm hungryy,' I whined. 'Why don't you eat?' Dawn asked munching on her sandwich. 'Because I already ate everything...' I muttered looking down. 'You need to stop eating July,' Drew said. 'And why is that?' I said raising my voice. 'Because you'll get fat. And that's not very pretty,' he said not looking up from his phone.

'W-what?' Normally I would yell something back, but this hurts. I felt my eyes tear up as a flashback played in my head.

'Ugly, fat May!'

'You'll never be pretty!'

'Ew! Look! She's crying!'

'Haha! Poor little, ugly, fat May! Go cry! Go cry by your mother!'

I quickly shook away the thoughts.

'No. Pretty's on the inside. Like mom always told me.' I thought.

'May, are you okay?' Misty asked with a worried look on her face. 'Y-yeah. I'm going... somewhere, see you guys later,' I apologized, standing up. At that moment Drew looked up from his phone. I gave him a disappointed look, tears still forming in my eyes, as I walked away. 'W-what? M-may, wait!' I heard Drew call after me, realizing this was because of what he said. I didn't look around and quickly went in the girls toilet, so he couldn't follow me. As I went in one of the stalls, I continued thinking one thought, as I hoped to believe it, someday.
