FE Shipping Week 1
So I'm doing the thing, the shipping week thing Reina_de_Naipes if that's alright with you. With the classic ship: Raven x Lucius (FE 7)
-------------------------------------
Tick tick tick
The clock sounded every second as time moved forward. It occupied the empty, dull room where two males sat in silence. One annoyed as he ground his teeth and tapping his fingers against the desk. The other with his eyes closed, arms crossed and mouth shut into a thin line seemingly pensive. Another few seconds passed before the blonde male spoke up.
"Why did you do that?" He asked the male next to him, who only grunted in confusion. The blonde male opened his left eye, and only cast a glance, "I mean why did you start that brawl in the middle of the school courtyard?" This time asking with full seriousness. The male with red hair clicked his tongue and let out a little 'tch' as he kept glaring at the space in front of him.
"I'm not going to ask twice Raven." The blonde male said now all patience had left him. He turned his body in his chair to stare at Raven.
"It's nothing Lucius, it happened, we got punished so let's just leave it." Raven spat out leaning back in his chair and refusing to make eye contact. Both of them were pretty stubborn when in a bad mood, Lucius refused to back down while Raven kept his mouth shut. It took Lucius a lot of willpower to keep himself from yelling, lest he wanted anymore scolding from the teachers. A slight disheartened expression came upon him, and he could only shut his mouth and let the time run since Raven was obviously not going to budge. Thus he let a sigh, and turned back without a word. The clock replaced the silence again, and Lucius let his chin rest on his forearms.
Raven glanced and he felt a little bad for making that sad expression on Lucius' face, he wishes he could sometimes punch himself like he did so with the asshole of a student earlier. He wanted to Lucius to not feel sadness ever, but here he was doing just the very thing.
"They were talking behind your back." He stated making Lucius' head snap up, "What?" He asked. Raven sighed heavily before leaning back and finally looking at Lucius. "Some assholes in the front of the school. I heard them when I was running in late today."
---------------------------------
Raven panted as he tried to get to the office. The first bell already rang a while ago, and he cursed himself for being stupid enough to sleep in late. In his defense, he did stay up all night working on both a project and a paper. He felt exhausted, but still he needed to haul ass to school after walking his little sister to hers. As he approached the courtyard his ears caught some loud, obnoxious voices. He figured it was just some ditchers and paid no mind to them, until he heard something of interest.
"Have you guys seen that babe of a new student?"
"You mean the one that moved in the last two weeks?"
Raven's ears perked up, a new student? The only student that he heard that was new was his new friend...
With a realization his eyes widened, he unconsciously drew himself closer to the conversation.
"Wait she moved in that long ago?"
"Where were you dude? Yeah!"
"Also dude, that she is actually a he."
"What?! No man. There's no way a person that beautiful can be a male!"
"Well hate to break it to you but he is. It's actually very weird."
"Tch, damn. And here I was hoping to get some." The male then broke out a big grin not at all amusing. It only irritated Raven further and his fists clenched as he heard more of the disgusting words spewed from them.
"Hey have you heard, that he might be gay?"
"Gay?"
"Yeah, and he's crushing on this Raven kid?"
"HA! Really?! The kid who throws temper tantrums. Dang not only is he a trap but he has bad taste."
That comment was the last straw and Raven saw red, his whole body seething. He stepped out and close to the group in a rage. How dare they speak of him that way.
"Hey!" He cried catching the group's attention. The biggest one only smirked his way, "Oh hey speak of the devil! Hey is it true that tr-"
"He has a name and it's Lucius." Raven cut off the male with a growl, he stalked forward grabbing the male by the collar. "And I don't condone anyone who speaks of him like that. So I suggest you. shut. up." He stated emphasizing each word his blazing eyes staring right into the other. The male seemed to not be phased and only glared right back. "Damn. We were only joking around, don't be so serious."
"With the tone you just spoke in you definitely weren't joking."
"You mad we were poking a little fun with your boyfriend? Jeez you two are bunch of-" The male couldn't even finish his sentence when a fist came in contact with his face. Hard. He held his jaw as he cried in pain, while Raven stood towering over him glaring at him with an animalistic rage. His temper had reached new heights as he kneed the male in the stomach. The other two ran in to help their friend, and Raven, being fueled by anger only went in to beat them all down. The bell that ended first period ended, and the brawl was still going. Raven handled himself pretty well against the three of them, being trained in several martial arts classes had its perked. While the bullies punched left and right trying to get a hit, he only dodged and punched each of their weak spots.
The sounds of the fight drew in several students and then a crowd gathered. Lucius walked out of his class, his thoughts wondering why his friend was so late. Then he laid his eyes upon the crowd, head tilted in curiosity as to what was going on. He heard the crowd scream something about a fight, and his face scrunched up. He hated fighting when it was not necessary, it seemed barbaric and seeing people hurt themselves like that made his heart very unsettled. He went in to investigate, pushing past the crowd with difficulty and his eyes widened like saucers at what he saw. His best friend right in the middle, trying to push off the three guys.
"Raven!" He shouted, and the red head male turned his head towards him. They shared eye contact for a moment before Raven had felt the impact of a fist to his face due to being distracted. Lucius gasped, running forth and checking in on his friend who tried to stand, groaning. Lucius felt very confused as well as frightened, why was Raven brawling with these random students? And he seemed hurt as well, it made his heartbeat skyrocket in fear.
"L-Lucius?" Raven stuttered, he didn't know why his friend was here, but it was dangerous for him to be so. Before anything else could happen, a large, burly man came in.
"Ok! Ok! Knock it off all of you!" He cried, and the students quieted down. He glared at all of the males in the middle, crossing his arms while standing tall and intimidating. "Care to explain why you are all fighting in the school courtyard like a bunch of animals?" He asked, but they all remained quiet and looked down. "Who threw the first punch?" He then asked slowly running out of patience with the silence. The main bully then spoke up quickly while pointing at Raven, "He did sir!" He exclaimed. Lucius looked at Raven in surprise, catching a glimpse of wide blue eyes Raven only looked down and avoided eye contact with him.
"Is this true?" He asked and Raven nodded silently. The teacher harrumphed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Alright!" He announced to the students, "Everyone get to your classes! This conversation will be private! Go now!" He bellowed and they scurried off, not wanting to face the teacher's wrath. Meanwhile he looked at the five males lined up, "All of you have a week of detention! And since you threw the first punch," He pointed to Raven, "You have an extra three days! Is that understood?" They all nodded, "Now go to your classes!" He demanded, and they all went off in their different directions. Raven hang his head, he felt horrible, first sleeping in late, hearing derogatory remarks of his friend, who he wished was not just a friend, a fight, and then detention. Not to mention Lucius got caught in the middle, and now they had to suffer detention together. He kicked a rock in irritation over the shitty morning. Meanwhile, Lucius had a different class from Raven, so he would have to wait to figure out what the hell that fight was about. He only looked as his friend disappeared through the doors.
------------------------------------------
And here they were in the detention room, sitting in one of the classrooms while those thugs sat in another.
Lucius listened intently at Raven's side of the story, nodding and pursing his lips. When Raven finished he saw his friend in deep thought. "Lu?" He called out, but Lucius didn't answer. It got him a little worried. Lucius seemed upset himself.
"I understand you were upset, but was it really necessary to start a brawl? You got hurt not to mention punished." He scolded staring at Raven while Raven just clicked his tongue. "It angered me so much, the words they said about you. You're too nice Lucius." He stated making Lucius stare at him questionably.
"You're too nice, you would let yourself get hurt for someone else. You let people step all over you, you don't mind these derogatory comments and try to find the good in the shittiest of people, me included." He explained letting his cheeks grow a tinge of color, Lucius gaped at him. "You're nice, beautiful, not to mention the best friend I had. When people speak down on you like that I wouldn't hesitate beating them down because they don't know you like I do, an amazing person." The words that came from Raven's lips made Lucius blush and his heart skip a beat. Raven took Lucius' chin, lifting his head gently until their eyes locked, "I really wish we weren't just friends." He confessed, and Lucius' heart did backflips. His thumb caressed the soft skin on Lucius' cheek and he gazed at him intensely. It was a weird setting to confess, but the air suddenly felt right. Their hearts accelerated, mutual feelings rightly delivered as they kissed each other with no hesitation. It was short, but very sweet, it made the biggest smile appear on Lucius' face, "We don't have to be." He responded making Raven freeze as well as his tough guy facade break for a moment, Lucius chuckled seeing his friend blush fully because of him. But then Raven grinned, a rare sight, taking Lucius' hand and interlocking their fingers.
"Well then we're not friends." He stated and they both smiled at each other. Maybe spending detention together wouldn't be so bad now.
A/N: Holy shit this nearly 2000 words.
