OVERVIEW:

Jasper Lawrence had a talent for visual arts but couldn't seek his passion at the professional level due to a lack of resources. Instead, he opted to work as a tattooist, conjuring the most beautiful of tattoos ever seen.

He had the skill to effectively copy any sample he was given, but the best of his art pieces came from when he was given the freedom to customize the tattoo himself. When given that option, Jasper tended to design the tattoo based on the person he was designing it for and as required, he asked a few questions to personify the element.

Stephanie and her friends happened to stop by his little workplace as they had heard a lot about his beautiful tattoos and wanted to see it for themselves. Steph however gave him the freedom to compose whatever he thought fitting for her on her shoulder and he worked upon a beautiful but simple rose vine shaped like a crescent.

And though the tattoo was simple, to Jasper it seemed like the only tattoo that had fully encompassed the bearer's personality. Because to him, Stephanie seemed to be a rose that shone like the moon upon dull lives and little did he know that his instinctive assessment of her nature turned out to be very true. Because Steph as Batgirl was indeed a beacon of light in the dull Gotham city, a moon banishing the darkness from the dreary city of crime.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

If you really want to know what got me to start this story, it was just the cover I had made randomly for it. Later on, I started to develop it because I wanted to use the cover so badly. Most of my stories start that way. Now I have changed that cover to better suit the first book, Falsetto, but the idea for the story remains unchanged.

This story focuses on Stephanie Brown as Batgirl and features the rest of the Batfam as well. Steph is friends with Reece and Malia with whom she had attended high school and then college as well. Phoebe and Frederick are Jasper's friends however who own a flat and have lent a room to him as well.

The story focuses on both these groups of friends and is a cute romance with its fair share of ups and downs because the setting for this story is Gotham where things go bump in the night as well as day.
