OVERVIEW:

In an alternate universe where the Court of Owls was finally exposed and put to an end by its own Grandmaster, the destruction caused as a result of its demise had terrible consequences. The foremost consequence was that the city was no longer able to trust its protector Batman and Richard Grayson had to give up being a vigilante for the second time.

Richard vanished from the city again but unlike earlier, there was no indication of his return. Five long years passed as such and a lot changed in the city he once considered his own. His brother Jason and friend Helena moved on with their lives, the boy Lucas who had been put under his guardianship had started living with Jason instead and things were slowly starting to come back to normal.

The only one who couldn't move on and accept that Richard would never return was Barbara Gordon. She had a feeling that there was a lot more to the case that the police and the Gotham High Court had forcefully shut down.

And she also felt that in the conspiracies woven over the city for so long, Richard had unknowingly become the target and gotten entangled within. Thus, she couldn't stop herself from investigating his case on her own, although she was met with dead ends at every step.

Five years earlier she hadn't been able to stop him from leaving. But when she saw him again after so long, she was willing to do all it took to bring him back.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

This book is the sequel to Andanza | S. Vanaver, the second book of this series, and the story in Lucera | B. Gordon starts from right where it ended in Andanza. However, the story is told from Barbara's perspective and focuses more on her and Richard.  

Initially, this book was not supposed to be a part of the Talon And Bone series but then I realized that without including it, I won't be able to give you all a worthy ending. There are many questions that the readers might have by reading the three books before this one and I aim to provide answers to all of those questions.

Just like the names of its preceding books, the title Lucera is also taken from Spanish and translates to the "Coming Of Light." Just like there is hope after every dark night, I wanted to explore the light that awaits at the end of this series in a separate book entirely.

For those of you who have read Andanza, you might have noticed that there are some untied ends in the last chapter of that book. I have intentionally left these loose fragments in the ending of Andanza that will be tied up in this book.
