Namjoon carefully carried her into the kitchen, cradling her in his arms as though she were made of glass. Gently, he placed her onto the chair, ensuring she was comfortable.

Y/N’s cheeks turned a faint shade of pink as she noticed Soojin sitting across from them. The weight of the moment, coupled with her shyness, made her look down at her lap, avoiding Soojin’s gaze.

Soojin, noticing Y/N’s flustered state, offered a kind smile before pouring her a glass of water. With a calm voice, she encouraged "Try to drink as much water as you can. It’ll help."

Y/N nodded, taking the glass in her hand and downing the water in one go. She set the glass down with a soft sigh, feeling a little more at ease.

As Namjoon began serving food onto her plate, Soojin glanced at him with a teasing smirk. "It’s tasty. Finally, you know how to cook something properly" she said, her voice laced with playful sarcasm. Namjoon chuckled softly, shaking his head at her remark.

Y/N hesitantly took a bite of the food, the flavors exploding in her mouth. She couldn’t suppress a small, delighted hum. Her stomach growled eagerly, craving more.

"Hm" she moaned softly, savoring the taste as she took another bite of kimchi. The spiciness only made her crave it more, and she found herself unable to stop.

Soojin raised an eyebrow at Y/N’s enthusiastic reaction and turned to Namjoon with a grin. "You know...Y/N" she said, her tone conspiratorial "this man takes forty minutes to make ramen."

Y/N giggled, the laughter bubbling up uncontrollably. She nodded, covering her mouth as both women shared a hearty laugh at Namjoon’s expense. Namjoon rolled his eyes, though a small, affectionate smile tugged at his lips.

"But"Y/N added between laughs, "he makes the best ramen! He adds spices and sauces that make it absolutely delicious."

Her voice carried a tone of genuine admiration, and Namjoon felt a warmth bloom in his chest. Her words, simple yet heartfelt, struck a chord deep within him.

They continued eating, chatting, and laughing together. Y/N was fully immersed in the moment, savoring every bite of food.

However, her soft pleased moans while eating began to stir something within Namjoon. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, silently cursing himself for how his body reacted to her every little sound and movement. Why does she have this effect on me? he wondered, clenching his fist under the table.

When dinner ended, Soojin approached Y/N, who was busy clearing the dishes. Her tone softened, carrying a hint of concern. "I told him everything" she said, her eyes locking with
Y/N’s.

"Please take care of yourself. Rest, take your multivitamins, and follow a proper diet. Don’t do anything reckless again." She hesitated for a moment before adding, "If not for yourself, think about Namjoon. He’s doing everything he can for you."

Y/N felt a pang of guilt in her chest. She nodded quietly, her fingers clutching the edge of the plate she held. Soojin patted her shoulder gently before saying her goodbyes.

Namjoon walked into the kitchen moments later and found Y/N standing at the sink, washing the dishes. A frown creased his forehead.

Without saying a word, he stepped closer, reaching out to turn off the tap. His hand encircled her wrist firmly but not harshly.

"How many times have I told you not to do this?" His voice carried a mix of frustration and concern.

Y/N bit her lip, looking down at his hand holding hers. Her lips formed a small pout, and she muttered, "I was just trying to help…"

Namjoon sighed, releasing her wrist gently. "I’m going out. Lock the door behind me, and don’t move around too much, okay?"

Her eyes widened with sudden panic, and her voice trembled as she spoke. "D-Don’t leave me alone here."

He paused, studying her expression. Fear was written all over her face, and his chest tightened at the sight of it. "Okay"he said softly, his tone calming. "Do you want to come with me?"

Y/N hesitated, contemplating his offer before nodding. "Yes" she whispered.

After changing into something more comfortable, they stepped out of their home. The cool night air brushed against her skin as Namjoon helped her onto his bike.

She clung to him tightly as they rode to the nearby store, her heart racing not from fear but from the closeness she shared with him.

Inside the store, Namjoon scanned the aisles, holding a small note with Soojin’s handwriting. "Where is this soap?" he muttered under his breath moving from one row to another.

Y/N trailed behind him, her small frame sticking close as though she were his shadow. She looked up at him occasionally, her eyes soft with gratitude.

Namjoon finally found what he was looking for and turned to
Y/N, who was quietly admiring the colorful shelves around them.

He smiled faintly, marveling at how she could seem so fragile yet so strong at the same time.

Namjoon realized that she was looking at a different row. Following her gaze, he noticed a shelf stocked with junk food.

For a moment, he debated whether buying such items would be good for her health. But the sparkle in her eyes told him she was craving them. Without overthinking, he asked gently, "Do you want anything? Chocolate? Chips? Cake?"

She turned to him, her expression soft and childlike. Her lips pouted in confusion before she shook her head, silently refusing.

Namjoon could sense the hesitation in her denial, as if she was trying to spare him the expense.

He smiled knowingly and reached for her hand, leading her toward the shelves. Grabbing two chocolates and a packet of salty chips, he placed them in the basket.

She glanced up at him, a mix of wonder and doubt filling her eyes. Is he really buying this for me? she wondered. She loved junk food but never had the money to indulge in such luxuries.

Namjoon’s focus didn’t waver. He guided her to the cash counter, placed the basket on the counter, and began paying. As she stood beside him, her eyes darted around the store, observing the crowd and the brightly lit aisles.

Her wandering thoughts were interrupted by a voice. "If you’re not shopping, please give me some space."

She turned sharply to see the source of the voice, and the world around her seemed to freeze. Standing there was a small boy...her younger brother.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she dropped to her knees, pulling him into a tight embrace. She held him close, the emotions she had been suppressing bursting to the surface.

A smile broke through her tears as she kissed his cheeks, unable to stop herself.

Namjoon turned at the commotion and was surprised to see her hugging a small boy. The child stared at Namjoon curiously before turning back to her.

"Noona??" the boy asked, his voice filled with disbelief and joy.

"H-How are you?" she stammered, her voice thick with emotion.

"I’m fine… but where were you? I missed you so much!" he exclaimed, burying his face in her neck.

She tightened her hold on him, crying silently as she rocked him gently. Namjoon crouched beside her, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

The boy noticed Namjoon for the first time and stared at him curiously before turning back to his sister.

"Who is he? Your husband???" the boy asked innocently, tilting his head.

Y/N’s eyes widened in shock, and she opened her mouth to deny it, but before she could, Namjoon replied, "Yes. Are you here alone?"

Her heart pounded as she looked at Namjoon in disbelief, wondering why he said that.

"No, I’m with my mom" the boy replied before turning back to
Y/N. "Noona, why don’t you visit us anymore? I asked Appa, and he said… he said you are dead." His voice cracked as he continued, "I cried so much… Is-is this man not letting you come to us?"

Y/N felt her heart shatter into a million pieces. The weight of her father’s words crushed her, but she swallowed her pain and held her brother’s face gently. "No... no..he’s a very good man" she said softly, stroking his cheeks.

"And handsome, too" the boy added with a cheeky grin.

Y/N giggled through her tears, her heart aching and full at the same time.

Namjoon’s voice broke the tender moment. "We should head out. People are staring," he said gently, his tone protective.

Y/N nodded, but her brother tugged at her hand. "You should go back before Eomma scolds you, okay?" she said, kissing his cheeks one last time.

Her voice trembled as she added "Don’t tell her you met me, alright? Take care, and remember I love you."

"I love you too, Noona" the boy said with a bright smile before running off, leaving her kneeling on the floor with tears streaming down her face.

Namjoon helped her to her feet, his warm hand steadying her trembling one. She looked at him, her eyes a storm of emotions....grief, love, and much more she don't know.

He didn’t say anything, simply wrapping an arm around her shoulders as they walked out of the store together, the unspoken support in his gesture more comforting than any words could ever be.
