Her heart was thudding loudly in her chest, each beat echoing in her ears like a drum. She closed her eyes tightly and took a shaky, deep breath.

Her trembling fingers gripped the knife as she prepared to make a cut. But just as the blade hovered over her skin, a sharp, searing pain shot through her lower abdomen, forcing the knife to clatter onto the floor.

Her breath hitched as her hand instinctively pressed against her stomach, trying to make sense of the pain. And in the blink of an eye, the pain disappeared, leaving her bewildered.

Before she could fully recover, another cramp surged through her, harsher this time, leaving her clutching her abdomen as she doubled over.

"What? Do you want to come into this world?" she whispered weakly to her baby, her voice trembling with exhaustion.

A wave of emotions crashed over her as her fingers gently traced her stomach. Tears pricked her eyes, threatening to spill. "We can't live in this world," she murmured, her voice thick with despair. "These people are so cruel... they won't let you live peacefully."

She slid to the floor, her back pressing against the cold surface of the cabinet. Wrapping her arms protectively around her stomach, she caressed it gently, as if apologizing for her thoughts.

"I can't even protect you inside me," she said, her voice breaking as tears streamed freely down her face. "So how would I protect you out there? If he finds out about you... he will end you. He won't even think twice." Her breaths grew ragged as the words tumbled out of her, unfiltered and raw.

Her gaze fell to her feet, her hands trembling. "It would be better for us... baby... we should die," she whispered, her voice barely audible now. "Forgive me for doing this to you. I know you're innocent... that's the problem. This world will hurt you so much, just like it hurts me."

Y/N's sobs filled the quiet kitchen, a sound of pure heartbreak. She curled in on herself, her arms still cradling her stomach. "And if I bring you into this world... how would I raise you?" she asked the void, her voice rising.

"I don't have money. I can't find a job. I won't be able to give you food, shelter, education, or a father. I can give you nothing!"

She screamed the last words, her anguish reverberating in the empty kitchen. Her chest heaved with the effort of crying, each sob tearing her apart.

"It's better for us to die. No one will accept you. For how long can Namjoon sir even help us? I couldn't even finish my studies... How will I get a job?" Her voice cracked as she spoke, her hands balling into fists.

"I don't want you to cry for love or for things you deserve, like I always have cried. I can't watch you suffer the way I did."

Meanwhile, Namjoon stood in his bathroom, finishing his shower. The faint sound of muffled cries reached his ears, making him pause. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he stepped out quickly, his heart sinking as he listened to the distressed voice growing louder.

"Y/N?" he called softly, glancing around the room. When he found it empty, a pang of worry gripped him. He followed the sound, his steps quickening as he moved toward the kitchen.

There she was, crumpled on the floor, crying and talking to her unborn child. His chest tightened painfully at the sight of her broken state.

He wanted to rush to her, to pull her into his arms and take away her pain. But he stopped himself. No, she needed this moment to let it all out. If he interrupted, the weight in her heart might only grow heavier.

"Look, baby," Y/N murmured softly, her hand caressing her stomach. "None of this is your fault, but please understand... I can't protect you. I couldn't even protect myself when he..." Her voice faltered, and she took a trembling breath.

"He did those terrible things to me again. I can’t keep you safe inside me, so how could I ever protect you in this cruel world?"

Her words became a whisper as she reached for the knife that had fallen to the floor earlier. "We should die... It's the best thing for us. Forgive me, baby. We will meet in heaven......
I-i- promise."

Namjoon’s heart clenched painfully as her broken words washed over him. When he saw her pick up the knife, his body moved on instinct. He darted into the kitchen, snatching the blade from her hand and throwing it far from her reach.

Her teary eyes widened as she looked up at him. The raw pain in her gaze shattered something inside him. But he couldn’t afford to crumble now she needed him to be strong.

"What are you doing, Y/N?" Namjoon asked, his voice steady but laced with deep concern.

"I... I should die," she stammered, her lip trembling as she bit down hard, trying to suppress another sob. "I'm just a burden on this earth."

"Look at me, butterfly," Namjoon said gently, cupping her face with his warm hands. His eyes searched hers, desperate to pull her back from the pain.

"Don’t think like this. What did I tell you? You’re precious. Those people who made you feel like this they’re the useless ones, not you."

"No... no, I am useless!" she cried, shaking her head vehemently. "I can’t do anything. I can’t even protect my baby. I was a burden on my parents, and now I’m a burden on you. And if I keep this baby, we’ll both be burdens..."

"Enough!" Namjoon’s voice, though still gentle, carried a hint of sternness. "You’re not useless. You’re capable of more than you think, and you’re not a burden on me. Put that in your mind. Understood?"

"Please..." she begged, her voice cracking. "Please, let me die. It’s better for both of us. No one will miss me. No one will care..." Her voice broke into a scream, her pain spilling out uncontrollably.

She stood up and was about to reach for a knife but Namjoon grabbed her wrists and gently but firmly pinned them to the fridge behind her. Her eyes widened in shock as she gulped, the sudden closeness overwhelming her.

His face was inches from hers. She shut her eyes tightly, trembling. Memories of her torment surfaced, and tears slipped from beneath her lashes. Namjoon’s gaze softened as he realized what he had done. He immediately released her hands, stepping back.

"I... I’m sorry," he murmured, running a hand through his damp hair. "I just didn’t want you to hurt yourself."

Y/N took a shaky step forward, her voice barely above a whisper. "What’s the point of stopping me? I’m no one. I can’t finish my studies. I can’t achieve my dreams. No one will marry me. No one will accept this baby. I don’t deserve love..."

Namjoon’s heart ached at her words. He reached for her but stopped when she pushed him away.

"You don’t have to lie to me, sir," she said, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Just leave me be...tell me will you marry me...will you accept this baby?"

Namjoon was shocked at her question, he want to take all her pain but he didn't think about this, before he could say anything she began to spoke," look how your face colour changes"

Before he could respond, she turned and fled to the bedroom, slamming the door behind her. Namjoon stood there for a moment, frozen in anguish. Then he pulled out his phone and called the doctor.

As he waited outside the closed door, his mind raced. Whatever had happened to her... it had left wounds so deep, he wasn’t sure how to reach them. He k ew he can't leave her like this...he will do everything for her whatever it takes.
