Namjoon led her inside the cozy little cafe, where the chilliness from inside was giving her a soothing feeling. She glanced around, taking in the charmingly simple and inviting interior.

The walls were painted a soothing shade of white and grey, adorned with minimalistic line-art prints and a few delicate, potted plants that added a splash of life and color.

Wooden shelves held a modest collection of books, from poetry to travel guides, giving the space a relaxed, welcoming vibe that felt almost like home.

The tables were small but thoughtfully placed, each paired with mismatched wooden chairs that added character to the cafe’s minimalist design. The countertops were smooth and polished, with an array of pastries under glass domes that sparkled under the warm, ambient lights.

Overhead, hanging small yellow bulbs gave off a soft glow, casting gentle shadows that made everything feel intimate and personal.

The scent of freshly ground coffee beans lingered in the air, blending with the faint aroma of vanilla and cinnamon. A soft instrumental tune played in the background, blending perfectly with the quiet hum of customers’ conversations and the gentle clinking of cups and saucers.

The baristas moved with practiced ease, adding to the sense of calm that permeated the place. It was clear this wasn’t just a cafe; it was a haven, a place to pause, to breathe, to simply be.

Namjoon watched her as she took it all in, a small smile playing on his lips. He could see that she felt it too, the simplicity, the warmth, the unique charm of a place that felt like it was built for moments like this.

Namjoon’s sister noticed him with the girl, her gaze lingering on their clasped hands. Her eyes widened in surprise - she’d never seen him with a girl before.

Unable to contain her excitement, she hurried over, beaming as she wrapped her arms around Y/N in a sudden hug. Y/N stiffened, taken aback, but soon let out a soft laugh, smiling back at her warmly.

"Is she your girlfriend? Oh my gosh, she’s so pretty!" Namjoon’s sister, Kyungmin, gushed, glancing between them with wide eyes. Namjoon frowned, already knowing this would get out of hand quickly.

"It’s not like tha-" Namjoon started, but Kyungmin cut him off, taking Y/N’s hand enthusiastically. She led her to the table, pulling out a chair for her as Namjoon sat across from them, his eyebrows knit together in embarrassment.

"I’m so sorry… she’s just a little overexcited"  Namjoon apologized quietly, scratching the back of his neck. He looked down, trying to hide his cheeks, maybe he was blushing by the name of a girlfriend.

He wanted to start his life with a partner, to share romantic and loving moments, to see their little versions roaming in his house, but he never date any girl, because of his busy life he didn't want his partner to feel uneasy about their relationship.

Y/N shook her head with a warm smile. "It’s okay" she said softly.

Just then, Kyungmin brought over a steaming cup of coffee and a beautiful three-layer milk cake, placing them in front of Y/N with a proud smile. "Here, try this! I made it myself"  she said, winking at Namjoon before disappearing back into the kitchen.

Y/N inhaled, but as the scent of the coffee filled her nose, she felt a wave of nausea. Her stomach churned, and she quickly covered her mouth. Noticing her discomfort, Namjoon’s expression softened with concern.

He gently moved the coffee and cake away, standing up. "Come with me" he said, reaching for her hand.

Y/N nodded, letting him lead her through the cafe. They approached an elegant set of mirrored doors, decorated with delicate artificial flowers on its both sides, adding a whimsical charm to the entrance.

As they walked through, Y/N found herself in an opulent, spacious restaurant, the decor stylish and warm.

"That cafe is my sister’s" Namjoon explained, gesturing back toward the mirrored doors. "And this restaurant is my brother’s. They decided to combine them, so it’s a bit of both" He smiled at the sight, clearly proud of his siblings’ accomplishment.

Y/N looked around in awe. She had never been to a place like this; everything was so polished and refined, it made her feel a bit out of place.

Namjoon guided her to a table, and soon after they sat, namjoon ordered food and within ten minutes the waiter arrived with a beautifully arranged meal, setting it down in front of her.

Y/N glanced down at the dish, her mouth watering at the sight, but she hesitated.

"Eat" Namjoon said, nodding toward the food.

Y/N glanced up at him, then at the elegant surroundings. The restaurant looked expensive, and she was sure she couldn’t afford a meal here. She shook her head, smiling politely. "I’m not really hungry" she said, though her stomach growled audibly, betraying her.

Namjoon noticed, his lips curving into a gentle smile. "I ordered this for you. Go ahead" he said, his eyes warm and reassuring.

Y/N bit her lower lip, leaning in a bit and whispering, "I… I don’t have any money."She looked away, her face flushing in embarrassment, but Namjoon only chuckled, leaning back with a soft, understanding look.

"Who said I was asking you to pay? Just eat I'll pay..hm" he replied, his tone lighthearted.

"Are… are you sure?" she asked, her eyes misting. Part of her feared he might expect something in return, something she couldn’t give.

"Yes, I’m sure. Now, eat" he said gently.

With his encouragement, Y/N finally picked up her fork, taking a cautious bite. As the flavors hit her palate, she couldn’t hold back a small hum of delight. She continued eating, savoring each mouthful, feeling the warmth of the food soothe her like a balm.

Namjoon watched her with a soft smile, chuckling at the way she devoured each bite, her hunger apparent in her eagerness.

Realizing how can her parents can be so cruel to leave a young girl on the streets, he was watching her, Y/N looked up with wide eyes, cheeks full. "What?" she asked, muffled by the food in her mouth, her eyes conveying her curiosity.

Namjoon shook his head, grinning. "Nothing" he said, still amused by her innocence.

Relaxing, Y/N resumed eating, allowing herself to fully enjoy the meal. “Thank you, sir. I was so hungry. I haven’t eaten in three days…” Her voice trailed off as she suddenly realized what she’d said.

She looked down, a flicker of embarrassment passing over her face, her fingers nervously twisting together as she tried to laugh it off.

Namjoon’s expression changed, his eyes softening with concern. He didn’t pry, but he couldn’t ignore the sadness that came with her words. How could her family allow her to go without food? The thought lingered in his mind, leaving him disturbed.

As she finished her meal, someone approached the table, and Y/N’s eyes widened in recognition. "Jin?" she exclaimed, surprised.

Jin, who had been mid-step, blinked in astonishment. "Y/N?" he said, looking equally surprised before breaking into a smile.

Namjoon’s eyes flickered between them, intrigued. "Wait… do you two know each other?" he asked.

"Yeah, we’ve met before..I'll tell you later." Jin replied, sharing a knowing look with Y/N, and she looked down remembering how they met.

He turned back to Namjoon, introducing himself. "This is my restaurant and I’m Namjoon’s older brother" he added, affectionately patting Y/N on the head.

"Ohh..Really?" she asked, looking from him to Namjoon in surprise.

Namjoon’s jaw clenched slightly. 'Alright, we should get going. Thanks for the food, hyung. See you soon!" he said, quickly pulling Y/N by the wrist as they made their way to the door.

Outside, Namjoon opened the passenger door of his car, gesturing for Y/N to sit. She hesitated briefly before sliding in, and Namjoon settled in the driver’s seat. He started the car and began driving, his eyes focused intently on the road ahead.

Y/N stole a glance at him, noticing the way his jaw was set and his hands gripped the wheel, veins were visible under his skin. His concentrated expression only added to the strength and confidence he exuded. She felt her cheeks warm as she looked away, her heart racing.

Making her heart calm a bit she asked, "Where are we going?" her voice barely a whisper. She still felt a hint of unease, her instinct warning her against trusting anyone too easily.

Namjoon glanced at her briefly, his tone soft yet firm. "Do you really want to be out on the streets again?"

Her shoulders sank, realizing she didn’t have any other options. She looked down, her fingers twisting in her lap. Maybe she could trust him. He had never given her a reason to doubt him, he had always been gentle, understanding, and patient.

He was her teacher, her mentor, the person who had inspired her to reach for more in life. She took a slow breath, feeling her walls begin to soften.

As they drove, the gentle hum of the car and the rhythmic movement lulled her into a calm state. She leaned her head back against the seat, gazing out the window as the city lights blurred past them. She could feel the weight of exhaustion settling over her, and her eyelids grew heavy.

Eventually, she let herself drift off, feeling a warmth she hadn’t felt in a long time - safe and secure, with Namjoon beside her, guiding her through the unknown.
