The Night Fury is a specie of dragon said to be very rare. They are by far the fastest, smartest, and rarest specie of dragons from this alternate Earth. Their appearance resembles an Axolotl, a gecko specie. They have wings that resemble those of a bat, but they have no fur. Instead they have a sleek, dark body and light patterns likes those of a manta ray. They also have a pair of ears on the back of their head, that help them hear and express emotions. They have a pair of yellowish green eyes with narrow, cat-like pupils. They also have retractable teeth. Unlike most other dragons, Night Furies have a short neck and no horns.

They are the fastest dragons, with a wingspan of about 48 feet. This allows them to fly faster and for longer periods of time. They use their tail fins to help them steer and maneuver. But they are unable to fly if one of this tail fins is damaged or destroyed. Night Furies are the fiercest dragons, capable of shooting purple flames composed of acetylene and oxygen, they are also called plasma blasts, due to the fact that the fire is hot enough to ionize gases. This blasts have also been seen to have blue coloring apart from blue, and to have an electrical charge. This blasts explode on contact, but may also explode in mid-air due to lack of oxygen at high altitudes. The strength of the blast can be controlled by the dragon. They have amazing accuracy. While the blasts are not strong, they are quite hot. Plasma blasts can bounce of surfaces, helping them attack in tight, narrow spaces. When they charge up their plasma attacks to their full potential, their spines from tail to tip, as well as their mouth glow blue. Night Furies main attack style is to dive-bombing to attack, folding their wings in a way to make them more aerodynamic. While dive-bombing, they can shoot plasma blasts to attack. They are also quite strong for their size, and experts at ground combat. Also, due to their black coloring and speed, (said to even break the sound barrier, but this could just be a visual affect) they are really stealthy at night and dark places, letting them deal surprise attacks on unsuspecting victims. They also have an amazing sense of smell, and hearing. They are also amazing swimmers, and have hidden spines on their back. They have limited night vision, and also able to use echolocation. They also have great endurance and intelligence, their intelligence letting them know when something is a threat or when it isn't. And they also try to learn new things.
