The Fantasmatics are by far, some of the scariest species in the know Infinverse. They are know to cause fear so terrible that it causes any other being that is not a Fantasmatic to go mad, paralyzed, or completely gone. The nature of the Fantasmatics is mysterious, as they travel between universes only to hunt other species, even though they gain nothing from it.

The reason that they cause such fear, is because of the way are able to attack the victim psychologically. They are able to control the space around them completely, they use this ability to change their shape into anything that would torment their victim the most, and they affect the space around them to make the victim see things that would cause them the greatest fear and paranoia.

The Fantasmatics also have the ability to induce fear on other beings that do not feel fear. Some species are not designed to feel any fear at all, but the Fantasmatics are able to induce some sort of distortion that will cause all beings targeted to be affected with extreme cases of fear, nausea, dizziness, and madness. Their presence also makes the victim or victims to see a dark mist in the distance, that does not allow them to see any farther than what the Fantasmatics want, making it easier to scare the victims.

They have no real appearance or purpose for what they do, but they never leave their prey alive. And since they control the space around them, it is nearly impossible to harm them with any normal means, making them some of the most formidable and scary beings in the Infiniverse.
