00 Freezing rewind
Dark inky blackness sucked the breath of life from many souls nothing could be seen, no one could even begin to explain it. There off swallowed by it was a small spark of light doing nothing seeing as the world seemed to be nothing but darkness no matter how hard they tried nothing would appear.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAHHHH
A strong light instantly ripped through as a body plummeted through the void his body suddenly and violently coming to a halt as he slammed into a solid surface.
A light glowed softly seeming to form a hand quickly helping him up, a faceless being stared at him their form blinded by their glow as the hand retreated seeming to completely blur it now.
"I keep telling them they need an elevator or stairs but nooooo Lucifer and his stupid chaotic energy never lets anything get done here. One of these days I swear someone is going to die twice because of this."
A crisp clear voice spoke echoing around the hollow void. The fallen stared at the being oddly his mind seeming to whirl so fast that it kept crashing drawing only blanks on whatever in the world was going on.
"....w-where am I?" His voice finally spoke again his legs shaking underneath him as adrenaline from falling still vibrated through him making it hard to focus.
"The void of death, the in between of heaven and hell of you will." The light answered pointedly seeming to rock back on their heels.
"Wait as in-dead? I am dead?!??!!!" The male stared at his hands trembling.
"You couldn't tell based off of your surroundings?" The light shook his head seeming to wait a few moments.
"I still have so much I need to-"
He was going to continue but his sentence was cut off with a bored tinted response.
"Do? You aren't ready to go yet? And before you ask yes-I get these questions and statements a lot."
"Now can you tell me how you died?"
"....uuuuhhhh..." the mortal fidgeted shaking his head meekly, "no...I can't."
"What do you mean you can't? Aren't those memories supposed to be vivid?!" The being extravagantly moved his arms gesturing frustration with his fingers. Taking a breath he rolled his shoulders back as if to compose himself, maybe he forgot he had to be professional.
The male could only smile awkwardly in response while the light sighed before asking another question, "alright name?"
Silence was the questioned one's response not meeting his blank gaze.
"I am guessing you forgot that too?"
"Stop judging me!"
"Oh mister I assure you I am not that is for God to do." Although he seemed to have no real features the being seemed to raise a brow as he continued.
"Age?"
"No sir."
"...please tell me you at least remember your birthday?"
"Er..."
"Let me see your wrist."
"Um, why?" The idiot-(narrator we have talked about this) fine... human (better) shuffled away turning his arm inward as if to hid it away from the others gaze.
"It will tell me more than you can just-just show it."
"Alright alright! Sheesh." Finally the other complied rolling his arm out so it could be seen.
"Blank....it's blank. No...no no no no....ah fuuuudge."
"Is-is something wrong with me?" He stared at the now pacing light source now very concerned by the light's new found actions.
"YES! SOMETHING IS WRONG!" He snapped suddenly, taking another deep breath mumbling something to himself, "maybe...yeah." Without warning the light came up and moved around, "dang your neck is blank too..."
Once again without warning, the being plunged his hand inside the mortal's chest causing him to leap back a bright white thread spiraled out of him revealing a glowing large mass bright with many colors residing in it.
The light went quiet not saying a word, the room suddenly feeling heavy.
"P....PRD....." the acronym left his lips as he stared at the male suddenly taking in his form.
Tall, slender, bushy ashen brown hair tinted red, his skin like milked coffee, eyes a bright eye catching silver, his shoulders were mid length, and build was seeming to be a little athletic.
"....change of plans. Phoenix."
The light which was once a bright pleasant and gentle light yellow-white glow seemed to slowly become stained a dark crimson orange color and flakes of menacing blue slowly bleed through the tips of his fingers.
The male back up concerned, "eh-what do you mean?"
"I can't say much, but do you remember anything, anything at all?"
Silence gripped the room for a very long time as they stared at each other.
"N-wait! A voice!"
"...a...voice?" A puzzled tone leaped into his voice as he waited for the other to speak.
"I am not done....that is all I remember." Phoenix put a hand on the nap of his neck smiling nervously.
"Remember that, Listen to your gut and I'll send you back."
"Wait-what?!"
The being sighed, "to put it simply your soul is refusing to die... that explains everything. Like a Phoenix, hence why I called you that. Reason being, you didn't complete your mission, and it must have been important to you....thus you now have to...you know what-there isn't time to explain all of this."
A bright blinding white light flooded the other's vision a feeling of falling entered him once again and he cried out in fear.
"Shhh....it's okay Baby boy." The scene was now built before him but all of it was blurry except a kind and gentle face of a woman making him shocked his mind suddenly swirling with confusion...what what had happened?
Phoenix...you're not done yet.
Echoed inside him as exhaustion gripped over his new vessel darkness befriending him once again as he drifted into the temporary death state known as sleep.
"Your baby should grow up strong, a miracle. We thought he would have gone after becoming cold but looks like this Phoenix was too stubborn to fade."
