AZARIAH SERENE:

A knock on my door had me jumping up from my bed and cowering away to the wall.

"Azzy! Come down for breakfast. Quick!"

I looked around my surroundings only to find myself in a posh bedroom.

Oh. Yeah..... I am held captive at Acétta's household. How cute.

I replied back to Levi, went to the bathroom, did my business and went downstairs.

I stood on the last step of the stairs deciding with my indecisive self on where the hall for the breakfast must be.

A burnt smell of cheese and toast filled my nostrils, so I just followed it as it was my only choice.

"You bitch! You burnt it! It's all black now!"

"You racist!"

I just stood there looking at Santino and Levi who were ready to claw each other's eyes out.

"Uh.....breakfast?" Everyone eyes snapped to me while Jade rolled her eyes and smacked Levi on the forehead.

"What's for breakfast?" I went over to where Levi was and shot him a nasty look to which he pouted and sat down.

"Nothing! Levi burnt everything!" Jade said, clearly irritated.

"Did not!" Levi banged his fist on the table.

"Did!"

"Not"

"Did"

"Not-"

Sound of heavy footsteps interrupted Jade and all froze in there places.

"Why are you all so quiet?" I asked looking at Levi who had his eyes widen at me.

"Do I have something on my face?" I touched my face as they all were looking at it with their eyes widen.

Santino gulped and coughed while pointing at me.

"What? Why are you pointing at me? It's bad to point at someone." I tsked but froze when I felt large pair of hands on my waist.

I instantly knew who it was and I didn't dare look back.

As if it was that easy for him, he picked me up by my waist and placed me to the side of the kitchen and walked past me as if nothing happened.

"Don't fucking stand in my way."

I just stood there shocked, with my eyes widen and heart racing while he just went to the table and sat there.

"Good morning, boss" Jade was the first one to break the silence as she greeted him, but all he did was nod at her and then he went back to checking his phone.

It seems like everyone got very stiff at Zemen's sudden appearance.

Yeah, I can see his presence having that effect on people.

Everyone continued doing their work. Jade made a new batch of everything and served us.

There were many dishes on the table and I saw everyone taking very large amount of food on their plates.

My eyes widen out for their sockets when I saw two big chicken pieces, two omelette, a sandwich, sausages and an avocado toast on Zemen's plate.

Jade served me but I was too occupied in looking at Zemen who had just woken up.

His hair was messy and he had grey sweatpants on with a black tee which worked like a second skin to his muscles. The shirt was practically engulfing him.

I looked down at my plate and gulped when I looked at a snake tattoo which was covering his whole arm. He had tattoos on his knuckles which I had to look really close to, to figure out that they were some kind of numbers.

"Uh- boss, I was thinking-"

"Oh, you actually do that?" Levi cut off Jade who fisted her hand and looked ready to bitch slap Levi.

Zemen glanced at Jade and then looked back down, eating his toast.

"As I was saying." She glared at Levi who sheepishly smiled at her, "I was thinking of showing Azariah around the mansion as she apparently lives here now."

A huge smile coated my lips as I thought about touring this beautiful house. I looked at Zemen to see his reaction but he just shrugged and kept on eating.

"Perfect!" Jade exclaimed while I held a confused expression on my face.

When did he say yes?

"Do you all know sign language or something?" I looked around the table at the men while they just blinked at me.

"All he did was shrug, like hello? People talk in the 21st century."

I heard a choke and my head snapped towards Santino who had choked on his water.

"Shush!!" Levi whispered to me while I sat there confused.

I looked back at Zemen who was eating his toast while shooting daggers at me.

I muttered a small whoops and went back to eating my food in silence.

He wiped his mouth with a napkin and placed his elbow on the table, leaning.

"What's the verdict on Charleston's case?"

"Boss, all we know is that he hasn't paid up yet and...uh..we haven't checked anything today."

Santino spoke and Levi face palmed.

"What the fuck are you waiting for then?! Check it and let me know. Right now!" Zemen's voice boomed in the hall and I just sat there peeking under my eyelashes at the two men who nodded their head.

"And you. We have recruits coming today, talk to Jessie and get back at me."

"Sí rey." (Yes king). Jade replied when he pointed at her.

"Inútil" Zemen stood up furiously and went up the stairs to his room.

Now that, is a mood change.

"He just called us useless." Levi looked at Santino, pouting.

"Well maybe 'cause you are" Santino clapped at him making them start bickering again.

"So, tour?" Jade asked me and I nodded my head and got out of there as soon as possible before they interfere me into their bickering.

"Me, Hannah, Jessie and Savannah are the only women he has in his crew."

"Wait.... Out of all, he only has four women?"

"Boss doesn't trust women that easily, we had to shed tears, blood, sweat to gain his trust."

And I had to do nothing. Wait. Does he even trust me?

"Why did you? I mean, you could have lived your life like any normal being?"

"Honestly, I love my job. It feels refreshing to get back at boss's traitors. And my mom worked for him, so, I practically know him since childhood. He's like my older brother."

"Please. No one would want to deal with his aggressive behavior." I mumbled and picked the grass while we were sitting in the lawn of his greatest mansion.

"Maybe you don't know him. Boss has been through heavy shit, stuff that made him join this mafia when he was only sixteen."

"Sixteen?!"

She nodded and leaned back on her hands.

"But he became the capo when he turned twenty one."

"Who was handling the mafia before him?"

"His mom."

"Oh.... Does she live back in Barcelona?"

"Uh-... No... She-"

"Jade!" I heard a distant voice and saw Jade, fold her hair strands behind her ears, revealing a black ear piece which was attached to her ear.

Iam guessing it was Santino as she talked back to him and then pressed it once, standing up.

"Come on, we have a mission to go to. Boss' calling."

"Wait a mission?!" I shouted as I panicked.

"Yes! Your first mission ever! Come on let's go." Jade squealed and held my hand.

Someone's excited.

"Wait no. No. No. I am not ready for this!" I shook my hand out of her hold.

She stopped and looked back at me, "Do you trust us?"

"Does chocolate milk comes from a brown cow?"

"Uh- what?... No?"

"Exactly. I am sorry but you all are the mafia. The killing machines. You can't expect me to flap my arms around you guys."

"Eh, fair enough, but sooner or later you'll realize it all."

She took my hand in hers and walked us inside to get us ready for our so called, 'mission' while I just followed her like a scared coward that I am.

"Boss you won't like this."

I walked beside Santino while thinking of ways to torture the fuck out of Charleston.

He took me inside our control, hacking room.

"Noah" I nodded at Noah, the best hacktivist in my mafia.

"On it, boss"

He clicks and types in some advanced codes into the monitor and it showed maps to different places.

"Alejandro and Charleston were seen at your club, together at six am today."

"When the fuck did he get back to Madrid?!" I shouted balling my fists.

Just a few days ago he was in Barcelona. It's like this fucker purposely wants to die.

"Doesn't Charles know about our years of rivalry with Italian mafia?" Santino seethed.

"Looks like the fucker forgot his place..... What's seen, Noah?"

"Here. I'll zoom it for you..... Check it yourself."

Confidential file.

"Why is Alejandro giving Charles a 'confidential file'? And mind you, at six in the fucking morning" Levi said spitting Alejandro's name out like venom.

"Not surprised. I knew that fucker would betray us, it was just a matter of time." My eyes scanned the screen for anymore evidence.

"So what? We leave it now?" I looked at Santino for talking that shit.

"No. We get that file........ Santino, get the gang ready... And Azariah too. It's time for her part now."
