Judo shared a look with Chen who looked just as disheveled as him.

"Any updates?" The korean man shook his head and the blonde leaned back in defeat, not once moving away from in front of Amadio's ward door. True to Hernine's words.

"I want his door guarded twenty four seven. Any mistakes and my bullet will coarse your head."

It was the first time Hernine had talked to Judo like that but he understood that the princess was very anxious right now and gave a mere understanding nod.

He had no updates from his brother who had been stabbed not even a day ago before he had to see his princess' potential husband rushing in the hospital as he almost died protecting her.

In the mafias, arranged marriages were common but he knew his boss would kill himself before he forcefully arranged his daughter over a business deal. But when a member of the cartel had gotten their lover, they would be immediately obliged to get married, not delaying anything further and he knew the day was nearby.

It gathered all in a state of astonishment. Colossal shock going over to Aldo who had his mouth gaping when Chen and Mira stated the truth about his boss protecting theirs, to them.

He rubbed his head in frustration not liking seeing his leader who always was so resolute, so exasperated and not in her element.

He clicked on his earpiece as soon as it beeped and he recognized the voice to be Hernando's. "Come to the warehouse. Now."

And then it turned off.

The man informing everyone of his departure, assigned thirty new men adding onto the number of Amadio's men already guarding his door.

Reaching the warehouse, he quickly clicked off his car behind his back, his steps trotting on the gravel as he pushed the metal door and then had his facial recognition done.

Hernando stood waiting for him in the lobby and signalled his head for him to follow.

Judo obliged; Hernando leading to the basement, where anyone who had dared to wrong them had their fate assigned there.

Hernando paused slightly before he opened the basement door all for Judo's eyes to widen.

"Princesa."

At once upon the sight, he entered in, finding Hernine standing in the middle, her forehead bleeding, blood trickling down her exposed arm in a tank top. A gun in her hand pointing to the two men who were beaten up badly, tied to a chair.

"I want their informations in under ten minutes."

Affirming, Judo asked, "What happened? Are you okay?"

"They tried to kill Hernine, drove their car right into hers." Judo's eyes widen while Hernine looked unreadable, her watchful eyes explaining all.

"I'll look into it." She gave one last look towards the two men beside her before walking up to the door wanting to get the remnants of her.

But was soon stopped by a taunting whisper, "you might have escaped but you'd soon be killed."

I slowly turned around and faced the man who dared to risk his life for a sentence. He smirked, the blood on his teeth showing.

"They're after you. Your own people."

The silence was deafening and Hernando's jaw clenched wanting to stop the fucker right in his place.

But I placed a hand behind me, stopping him in his tracks.

"What. Are. You. Saying?" The guy looked at his partner who gave a nod before mirroring his smirk.

"Hernine Acetta, the most powerful, have you heard—" he spat out the blood on his teeth. "Heard of Marco Velvet?"

I didn't have to speak, my eyes gave it all away and a boisterous laughter broke out.

The pocket knife clinged as I pressed the button to it, it's sharp edge reflecting the light as in two heavy strides I placed the knife on the man's jugular.

His partner quiet down and so did he.

"Who sent you?"

The man's red bloody teeth showed. "Marco Velvet."

Velvet?

"Mind finding out how we know of your location—" I dug the knife in deeper, blood trickling down my fingers.

"Quit speaking in riddles, I'll kill you and your partner right here, don't test my patience."

"You won't, you need us....We have a crucial piece of information you wouldn't want to miss out on- Think wise, princess."

My eye twitched in vexation and I dropped the knife, bringing my gun out of my pocket and cocking it, placing it under his chin.

"You have my attention." I pushed the gun further in and he hissed, "speak."

I glared deep into the man's eyes.

These fuckers right here, almost blinded me with their lights, crashing into me at a high speed, sending both our cars off the road. I knew it was for a motive and definitely would lead to why Amadio was shot.

With many struggles I had gotten out of the car before it blasted into flames and had shot each of these fuckers thrice in their legs. Giving them nowhere to run off to. Quite literally.

Called Hernando, had them brought in to the basement and here we were.

"Marco wanted to kill you, but fucking Amadio—" he spat out in rage "—he changed sides......How is Amadio? How is Juan infact?"

My heart didn't know what to do at this point. Be afraid that the answer to all my miseries was right here, or be excited that the answer to my miseries was right here.

I didn't think twice, shooting his partner who had been grimacing and then suddenly smirking, and was now sprawled on the floor, smoke coming out from in between his brows.

"Quit speaking in riddles I said!" I slammed the gun on his head, kicking his chair backwards and he fell.

"You were the one who stabbed Juan huh? Tried to kill me—" I gave a rough kick to his shin and he cried out, "but shot Amadio in the process, hijo de puta."

"Stop. Stop." He wheezed and I crouched down to him on the ground, tightly grasping his jaw and turning his head towards me.

"Who is it? I need a name." His eyes widened at the murderous look in my eyes and a tear fell from his own.

"Amadio Velvet."
