Us guitarist, have weird things going on with our hands. Mainly, our nails.

On our left hand, we have to trim our nails so it can be easier to press on the strings. And some girls had a problem with this. (I know this book can be for both guys and girls, but right now I'm talking about girls.) So I use to have a friend, who was super girly, and she told me she wanted to play guitar. I told her that she needed to cut her nails, and because of that, she didn't want to learn. For me, I couldn't care less, I like having my nails short, but most girls like having their nails really long for some reason. So this was a problem.

So on our left hand, we have short nails. But on our right hand, it's easier to just grow them out. When you have longer nails on your right, you can use it for like a pick. You can play the strings with your nails and I've seen a lot of guitarists who's nails are really long!!

And it looks pretty weird. On one hand, your nails are short and they look somewhat fine, and on your other hand, they are super long!

Me personally, I don't try to grow them out very long. On my left, they are actually too short, where it kinda hurts and on my right you can kinda see the white part of the nail.

But yeah, the problem with this is, you always need to trim your left hand, and also it looks kinda weird.

You don't have this problem with the bagpipes, do you? No! Well, at least I don't think so...
