Phil's POV

Dan groaned and banged his head on the table. I asked worriedly,"Are you alright?" Dan gave me a reassuring grin and nodded,"Yeah, don't worry. This question is just too hard." I scoot a little closer to Dan and asked,"Show me the question?" Dan lifted his arm to reveal the question.

Solve the equation 5(-3x - 2) - (x - 3) = -4(4x + 5) + 13.

Being a math genius, I soon solved it, and explained,"Given the equation 5(-3x - 2) - (x - 3) = -4(4x + 5) + 13, you have to multiply the factors first, so now it's -15x - 10 - x + 3 = -16x - 20 +13. Now, group the like terms. You get -16x - 7 = -16x - 7. Add 16x + 7 to both sides and write the equation as follows 0 = 0. The above statement is true for all values of x and therefore all real numbers are solutions to the given equation."

Dan's face lights up,"Thanks Phil!" He writes the solutions down and started working on the rest of the questions, and I smiled fondly. I may know him for less than a day, but he is such a great friend and person.

"Chris! PJ!" Dan called, and the two of them turned to our direction, and I notice their interlocked fingers. I allow a smile to creep onto my face. They were adorable together.

"Yea, mate?" Chris asked, glancing at both of us. Dan was scrolling through his phone, simultaneously asking,"You three wanna catch a movie with me later?" PJ said,"Depends on what movie. If it's Minions I'm out." Dan smiled slowly,"Attack On Titan live action." I squealed,"AOT! Count me in!" Dan laughs and Chris smiles,"Count us in too." Dan does more scrolling and tapping, before asking,"Middle row alright?" I nod, and he finishes up, passing his phone to me.

"What?" I ask, glancing at his phone and him. Dan chuckles,"Give me your number so you can tell me your address later, silly. I'm picking you up for the movie." I input my number and even take a selfie for the contact picture,"Done. See you later, guys?" Dan says,"Me, Chris and PJ usually go home together, wanna follow, or go home yourself?"

I wanted to say yes, but knew my overprotective parents would nag if they saw me with a gay couple and especially three boys, so I shook my head sadly,"Can't. Sorry." Dan just hugs me,"It's okay, I'll see you later. Bye, Phil."
