Chapter 63 - Mpreg Special 15
Mpreg Special 15 - A date for two
Just a few days after Shenmi's first birthday, we set off on our journey to Beijing. Wangji and Ying were totally excited because they finally got to ride on a plane again, and Shenmi was completely unimpressed. She preferred to scan every millimeter of her dad's face and taste it with her tongue. Her way of spreading kisses.
But she felt a little queasy when the plane took off. She got scared and suddenly wanted to be with me. "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy." She wailed and stretched out her arms to me. She clung to me like a monkey and didn't let go until we had been flying for a few minutes and her brothers were showing her that everything was okay.
But just like her brothers on their first flight, she didn't really notice much because she was asleep most of the time. Anyway, Mi likes to sleep a lot and even goes to bed voluntarily in the evening. But of course only when her big brothers are with her and sing her a lullaby after Dad or Daddy reads her a story.
Since we have rarely left Finland since we moved there, it is always strange when we suddenly have to act completely different and more reserved again. And it's hard not to show that you've been head over heels in love with the same man for 20 years. Or not just hold his hand and cuddle up to him.
And then of course it's strange for our kids when dad and daddy suddenly act differently in China than they do at home in Finland. Growing up with two fathers who love each other very much, they don't know homophobia or that homosexuality is still considered more than critical in China and other countries.
With almost 5 years and just 1 year, our children are also still too young to be able to explain this to them. And somehow we had hoped that people would start to be more open and understand that love is still love even if it is between two people of the same sex.
When we arrived in Beijing, they refrained from checking on us. Mi had pooped all over her diapers and it smelled anything but pleasant around us as a result. I wonder if she did that on purpose? Hahaha, anyway, she saved us a long check with her full diaper.
My brother and Cheng picked us up from the airport. They had borrowed a big car especially for this purpose so that we all have room in one car. We first drove to the family farm, where they were already eagerly awaiting our arrival. Whereby I easily got the impression that our children were welcomed much more warmly than we were.
As soon as the boys got out of the car, they ran to their relatives and let them kiss and cuddle them. Only Mi was a little more reserved and hid behind her dad to get a good impression. She was there for the first time and many of them she didn't really know or had never seen before.
After a few minutes, however, Mi also began to warm up when she saw the twins, who had grown up in the meantime and had visited us in Finland just a few weeks ago. Mi rushed past us, dodged two other relatives and ran on up to the twins, who immediately greeted her exuberantly and with lots of kissing. And together with them, she then dared to approach the other relatives.
As always, everyone was amazed at how quickly the children have grown and delighted because they are developing so well.
After the very warm welcome, we remained right outside and took advantage of the beautiful weather to sit in the shade, talk and eat together. The boys played together with my brother's and Cheng's daughter and Mi explored the area with the adult twins. She was held by the hands of both of them and let them swing her in the air over and over again. She loved it so much that she really squealed and kept calling out, "Again, again."
Right after eating, the pack then also had a surprise for Zhan and me. Namely, a voucher for an evening for two with an overnight stay in a 4 star hotel. They offered to take care of our kids so Zhan and I could go on a date again, after a very long time, that wasn't in a kid-friendly restaurant.
We were very happy to do so. While we don't mind going on dates with the kids usually, we actually haven't had a date for two in a long time, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Therefore, that very same evening, Zhan and I went to the city.
After we checked in at the hotel and after a long walk through the city center, where we had to stop ourselves from running into all the stores to look for clothes or toys for our children, we went to a good restaurant and enjoyed a candlelit dinner for two. At that moment we didn't care what the other guests thought about us.
Afterwards we went to the cinema for a late show and watched a movie. But we couldn't really concentrate. We were tired from the flight and the long day, and we kept asking ourselves if everything was going well with our children and if they were sleeping in the meantime. Well, that's how parents of such small children are, isn't it?
When we finally got back to the hotel and went to bed, we were so tired that we immediately fell asleep. That was rather unromantic. But fortunately, nights in which we do not sleep with each other are very rare. Almost never, I would even say. Because even after 20 years, it's still fun for us to sleep with each other and really let off steam.
All the years and our children, did not change the wild passion we feel for each other. During the day we are the good fathers who lovingly take care of their children. But at night we always let off steam. Then the kids are asleep and we can just let ourselves go.
In the morning we at least used the luxury bathtub together and afterwards we went to the hotel's own spa, where we got professional facials and massages, after we had also tried the sauna. In addition, we got a luxury breakfast and were even allowed to keep the cozy soft bathrobes.
Although we enjoyed the child-free evening and morning, we really missed our little ones and were glad when we were back at the farm and could hold our children in our arms. Mi immediately ran to us on wobbly legs, calling out loudly, "My daddy, my Dad." It was so cute.
Mi is already walking very well on the hand. Only when she walks alone is she still a little wobbly on her legs, which somehow always looks cute. Even her brothers always make "Awww" when they see their little sister walking.
After the nice welcome, however, there was also a little drama right away. Because we had forgotten to pack Wangji's exercise book and take it with us. He is currently learning to read and write with Zhan's and my help. At the moment he is at the letter E and got very upset that he could not continue practicing. Zhan quickly eased the situation by writing the letter E in upper and lower case on a piece of paper so that Wangji could continue to practice writing the letter.
And my brother then picked out several simple words with E for him to try to read. Wangji loved it and did his best.
Ying meanwhile played with Mi, which in his case meant he kept trying to train her like a little dog. That is, with sit, down and come here. And Mi went along with everything laughing. And when Mi was supposed to follow her brother and didn't want to at first, Ying took her baby key and lured her behind him. The key is her favorite toy because it rattles so beautifully and she can bite on it.
In the afternoon after the kids had their nap, we all went to the zoo together. In this case we were 16 adults and 5 children.
Since Mi can't walk long distances yet, we put her in her stroller and her brothers walked to the right and left of her. They know the rules when we are somewhere they don't know. Always stay with us and never leave our sight. Besides, they wouldn't have left Mi's side anyway.
Ying was mostly interested in the donkeys at the zoo. Wangji thought the lions were great. And Mi could hardly part from the little baby goats. They spent about half an hour in the petting enclosure before we finally persuaded them to go and see more animals.
The highlight for the kids was of course the big playground and that they each got a big ice cream. Wangji and Ying fed each other ice cream and Mi let me give her ice cream. However, she only ate a quarter of it, then she still preferred to eat the apple from her dad.
When it comes to food, Mi is like Wangji. She likes meat, but prefers fruits and vegetables. Sometimes she nibbles on a big carrot all day or wants a whole plate full of cucumber slices, which she then prefers to eat than a piece of meat.
After the short break, our kids played some more until Mi got too tired and wanted to get in her stroller. I put the back down so Mi could lie down and she fell asleep almost immediately. We then let the twins play some more before we slowly made our way back. After all, it was evening and bedtime for the kids.
In the evening, after the kids were sleeping peacefully in bed, we all sat together and talked. We talked mostly about Grandpa Xiao and what were our best memories with him. And finally, Lay sang a song that was Grandpa Xiao's favorite. We then sang it together and in this way it was as if Grandpa Xiao was with us. We all still miss him.
After this emotional moment for all of us, my brother and Cheng also had something to announce. Soon their family would be enlarged by one member. They will adopt a baby, which they can pick up right after the birth. The young mother decided to give her child up for adoption and searched for suitable parents with the lady from the adoption center.
And she decided for my brother and Cheng. Which of course makes them both very happy. Whether she chose them because my brother is famous in this country or because she thinks a gay couple is right for her baby is not known. And I don't think my brother and Cheng care why she chose them anyway.
Then tomorrow night Zhan and I will go to my class reunion. Before that, we will get the Professional Make Up so that we look older and no one will notice that we haven't aged in the last 20 years. I'm really excited to see how they react when I introduce Zhan as my husband and tell them about our three children.
Of course, I won't be able to tell them that I was pregnant with the kids, we already made up a story for that, but I will tell them about my three super cute babies and proudly show them the pictures of my kids. And I expect at least one "Awww how cute." from every single one of my former classmates.
Youn will not be coming with Wooseok. They both don't feel like going to this class reunion, and they don't want to put on extra makeup just to look older. Besides, Youn is not doing very well either. He is a bit depressed and doesn't like traveling. Youn's mother died about 8 months ago and Youn is having a hard time coping with it because he didn't even get to say goodbye to her and only found out by chance that his mother died.
After Youn decided to leave with Wooseok and leave everything behind, he also broke off contact with his mother. At that time, she had a hard time coping with Youn becoming a real vampire and only drinking blood. There were always arguments between the two of them because of this. And so Youn decided to break off contact with her as well. At the time, he thought it was the best thing for everyone. Now, of course, he regrets it and suffers from it.
For today, this should be the end. We want to enjoy the rest of the evening with the others before we go to bed and start a new exciting day where anything can happen when you have such a great husband and three such wonderful children. Good night and see you soon.
