Lili-Rose mustered up her strength to run back to her unit, she grabbed her car keys off the kitchen bench. She didn't bother grabbing shoes or wiping her tears from her face as she raced to her car.

Her tears continued down her cheeks as she reversed out of her parking spot, her baby's empty car seat filled Lili-Rose with fear.

Lili-Rose tried not to think of horrible things happening to baby Betty, she tried not to think of what David might be doing to their daughter. She forced herself to wipe her tears away with one hand as she sped down the road.

She knew where'd David would be, the one place would be she knew he wouldn't let her forget.

Lili-Rose assumed she knew David well enough to not be sick and twisted to their daughter, but she also knew that David could be unpredictable. She ignored the car beeps and the frustrated drivers as she sped through traffic, she raced against the red lights as her daughter's fate fall in Lili-Rose's hands.

Tears of fear and frustration continued to fall down Lili-Rose's face as she gripped her steering wheel tight with each turn of the road she took.
