Chapter Eleven.

Six days.

At least now Lili-Rose was eating, The British Gentleman had finally won that round. He had also won sharing the same bed as her. He had won when he put her arms around her in a loving embrace when they slept.

The British Gentleman dealt with her cold shoulder when she pushed away from him when he wanted to be intimate with her during the night.

Lili-Rose finished off her bowl of fruit as The British Gentleman stopped by the table with a purple floor length dress in his grasp.

She tilted her gaze up at the dress, she hated how scary it was that The British Gentleman always knew her size in clothes.

The British Gentleman held the dress against the front of his body "I know not my colour or size, but I want you to wear this tonight." He changed his tone as he spoke his next sentence "You have one hour to get ready; I suggest you start now."

Lili-Rose placed down her fork as she stood up, she snatched the dress from him before walking up the hallway.

"A thank you would've been nice." The British Gentleman raised his voice as Lili-Rose slammed the bathroom door shut.

"What are your plans?" Lili-Rose whispered to herself.

The British Gentleman placed her empty bowl and her fork in the sink, gave them a quick rinse before walking up to the hallway. He stopped in front of the closed bathroom door; he watched his watch as the minutes ticked by.

He listened to the taps of the shower turn off, he listened as she remained silent in the bathroom. He listened as he waited outside the bathroom door, watching his watch tick.

The British Gentleman may have given her an hour to get ready, but his patience was wearing thin. "Hurry up, Lili-Rose."

Lili-Rose looked at the closed bathroom door before looking in the bathroom mirror. She felt plastic. This wasn't her and he knew it. She wasn't the perfect woman, she felt like an illusion.

She quickly pulled the brush through her shoulder length hair as she tried to buy her time.

The one thing The British Gentleman and Lili-Rose both agreed on was that she wasn't a makeup girl, he hated her wearing any makeup and she refused to wear any. It was one of the rare things they could agree on.

Lili-Rose took a deep breath as she reached for the door handle. She pulled open the door, she stood in front of him.

"Just perfect, you are perfect." The British Gentleman loved her. Behind the illusion, she was his perfection. He kissed her lips, she tried to push him off her, but he grabbed her hands "Play nice." He looked her in her eyes.

Those two words scared her. Play Nice. What did that mean? How could she play nice when she wanted to run, run for her safety.

"I'm taking you somewhere nice tonight."

Out? Out of the house? This was her chance, her chance to run. She just needed to find the perfect cue than he'd lose her.

Lili-Rose held her poker face as The British Gentleman lead her out the through front door. She noticed a limousine waiting by the front gate, she couldn't hold back her poker face as shock and surprise washed over her.

The limousine driver stood by the back of the car; the driver opened the car door before The British Gentleman helped Lili-Rose into the back of the limousine.

Lili-Rose climbed into the spacious backseat. She wasn't sure if The British Gentleman was testing her as she got comfortable in the seat closest to the other car door.

She watched as The British Gentleman got comfortable in a seat away from her.

"Don't be surprised, we've been together for six days. A little freedom is allowed."

The limousine driver closed the car door before returning to the driver's seat.

"Drink?" The British Gentleman reached for a wine glass and a bottle of champagne "Oh, right. You gave up drinking when you left me."

Lili-Rose's facial expression changed to hatred.

"You're not surprised anymore? I know so much about you, Lili-Rose. The day you broke my heart." He began.

LIAR! She wanted to scream at him.

"How I managed to forgive." The British Gentleman shook his head as the car started to move "Guess I wanted my heart back." He opened the bottle of champagne before pouring himself a glass "You own my heart; I could never give it to another. We were engaged than you ran." He took a sip from his glass before looking at the champagne bottle in his hand "Funny thing about love. We can never quite forget our soul mate."

Lili-Rose didn't want to hear it anymore. She turned her head towards the tinted car window, hoping he'd get the hint as she tried to focus on the street the car drove down.

"I watched you. You found a businessman. Didn't last long." The British Gentleman smirked as he didn't get her hint.

Lili-Rose's eyes drifted down her lap. He had hit a nerve as he watched her.

She remembered that man, he was the first relationship she had after she had left The British Gentleman at the altar. Took her four years to trust again, four years to love again after The British Gentleman.

The businessman took his time, swept her off her feet. Only downfall of the businessman was his odd hours. Something Lili-Rose could deal with as their relationship progressed.

They were together for several months before she found him. Found him in bed, with another man.

Lili-Rose hadn't seen the signs that the businessman wasn't interested in her, let alone in woman. The businessman's excuse was that he needed a woman to bring home to his family.

After her relationship with the businessman ended, Lili-Rose took that as a sign to run and to never make the mistake of falling in love. She rose her hand to her cheek, wiping her tears away.

She hadn't noticed The British Gentleman shuffle closer to her as he reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out a handkerchief. He handed the handkerchief to her before letting Lili-Rose wipe her own tears away.

"I'm sorry." The British Gentleman wrapped his arm around her shoulders as he tried to comfort her.

Lili-Rose leaned her head against his shoulder.

The British Gentleman could be so cruel yet so loving.

He wasn't always like that. At one point, they did love each other. They were engaged and believed they were soul mates; a relationship that could've stood the test of time.

The British Gentleman wasn't always fearful. He didn't always hide behind his toughness.

She had seen him let his guard down The first time he had cried in front of her was on their five-month anniversary, they were getting ready to enjoy a romantic night together, but he had gotten a phone call saying his grandmother had unexpectedly passed away. Instead of enjoying their anniversary, they mourned his grandmother.

The limousine stopped moving, the driver stepped out of the car before opening the car door.

The driver helped Lili-Rose out of the car, she dropped the handkerchief on the floor of the limousine.

The British Gentleman stepped out of the car after Lili-Rose, he held her hand as he led her to the front of the mansion.

Lili-Rose watched as various fancy cars pulled up behind the limousine, she watched as people stepped out of cars and cued in front of the front door.

Men were in suits while woman wore white, Lili-Rose was the odd one out.

"Two for Rekindle." The British Gentleman spoke to the doorman.

The doorman looked down at his clipboard, searching for Rekindle.

Lili-Rose looked at The British Gentleman, that wasn't their last name.

The doorman handed them two masks; The British Gentleman pulled the white mask over his face before adjusting a black mask over Lili-Rose's face.

The British Gentleman placed Lili-Rose's hand in his as he lead her through the front door.

She wasn't sure what to think as she took in the sight.

Men and woman in their attire with their masks. The waitstaff were the only ones not wearing masks, the waitstaff were wearing jeans and a plain orange t-shirt.

A stage stood in the middle of the lounge room while silk ropes hang from various parts of the ceiling.

The waitstaff carried around small trays of various canapes.

"I always wanted to take you to one of these." The British Gentleman let delight fill his tone as they moved around the lower half of the mansion.

An elderly man stopped in front of Lili-Rose and The British Gentleman "Ah, Mr and Mrs Rekindle." He reached out his hand.

The British Gentleman shook the man's hand.

Lili-Rose didn't know who the man was, she knew she wasn't married to The British Gentleman and knew their last name certainly wasn't Rekindle.

"Lili-Rose, this is Mr Grace. He was nice enough to invite us." The British Gentleman explained "Sorry, my wife lost her voice this morning." He quickly excused Lili-Rose's lack of words.

Mr Grace nodded slightly as he took in Lili-Rose as she gripped tightly on The British Gentleman's hand.

"Excuse me for a moment, I'll just get us a drink." The British Gentleman pulled his grip from Lili-Rose's, he left her side, and he found the makeshift bar in the corner of the lower floor.

"Mr Grace? May I ask what type of event this is?" Lili-Rose mustered up the courage to speak.

"He didn't tell you?" Mr Grace looked over at the makeshift bar as The British Gentleman kept his back turned.

The British Gentleman focused his attention on the various alcohol bottles on display.

Lili-Rose shook her head "My husband" She held back her disgust "likes to keep surprises."

"This isn't for everyone, my dear. It's Feast of Love. Honestly, your husband begged for an invite."

"Feast of Love?" She hadn't heard of it before.

Mr Grace nodded "Dinner and a show. Well." He looked over at the stage as a young woman positioned a hoop carefully from the ceiling.

Lili-Rose moved her attention to the stage, the young woman was wearing a skin-tight black catsuit. Lili-Rose moved her attention back to Mr Grace as he refused to take his eyes off the woman on the stage "Do you know why he wanted to be here?" She flicked her eyes up at the bar, The British Gentleman took his time ordering.

Mr Grace glanced at Lili-Rose "Rekindle, that's all he said. I don't care if it's your name or not. Your husband begged to come here." Mr Grace hurriedly moved his gaze back to the woman on the stage as she bent over to adjust the safety mat on the floor.

"Thank you, Mr Grace." Lili-Rose tried to remain polite as she snuck out of the mansion.

She took a second as she stopped by the doorway, she didn't look back as a rolls royce stopped in front of the front door. She watched as a man assisted an elderly woman out of the car, she watched as the man helped the elderly woman to the doorman.

Lili-Rose snuck past before quickly getting into the back seat of the car.

The driver of the rolls royce jumped a little as he heard the door close "Ma'am?"

"Sorry, please just drive." Lili-Rose kept low in the backseat as the driver carefully moved the car out of the driveway. "Can you take me to the closest police station, please."

"Is everything alright, ma'am?" The driver didn't question Lili-Rose for jumping into his car.

"Yes." She pulled off her mask, chucked in on the floor of the car.

Lili-Rose hoped she was free as the car continued down the street; she hoped the British Gentleman would stop chasing after her.

After several moments, the rolls royce stopped in the carpark of the police station.

"Stay in the car" She instructed the driver "Thank you for your help." Lili-Rose prepared herself to exit the rolls royce "If a man asks about me, British, skinny and thinks his god. Don't lie, just tell him that I'm gone and don't come after me."

The driver looked up in the rear-view mirror as he watched Lili-Rose step out of the car "Yes, ma'am."

Her first step of freedom. Lili-Rose looked around. She knew she was at a police station but wasn't quite sure where she was.

Lili-Rose knocked on the passenger's window.

The driver reached over and rolled down the window "Ma'am?"

"Where are we?"

"Kengsten street"

Lili-Rose scanned the street around her before returning her attention to the driver "How far is Julie street?"

"I'm sorry, ma'am. I'm not sure."

"Can I borrow your phone, please?"

The driver handed over his mobile phone, Lili-Rose swiped open google maps as she began to search her location. She knew she was still in Australia; she knew she was still in Queensland; she knew she was still in Brisbane.

After searching through google maps, Lili-Rose knew where she was. It had finally hit her. The house that she was trapped in was the house her and The British Gentleman had moved into two years before he proposed to her.

She turned her attention to the police station before returning her attention to the driver "Thanks for the phone." Lili-Rose reached the phone back to the driver. "His going to ask to look at your phone, let him. He won't find anything." Lili-Rose let courage run through her body as she made her way inside the police station.

The driver watched Lili-Rose step into the police station.
