After the kiss on my cheeks, Ian pulled me into his car. Strangely, I agreed with him knowing I was going against someone very important in class Jeanette.

What more do I have to lose?

"Are you moving away from Wisconsin after graduation?" Ian asked, I didn't think he'd have guessed it right.

"Yes!’’ I replied gliding my eyebrows at Ian.

"Which university are you applying to?" Ian smoulders at me moving a little closer to me and breaching the little distance between us.

"John Hopkins University." I answered shifting away from his grasp.

"I applied to the same university, but I want to major in Neurosurgery, what about you?" He asked and I couldn't help but wonder at his sudden interest in me.

"Oncology." I mumbled.

"But my mom wants me to go to Howard college of medicine and specialize majorly in General medicine." He whispered to my ears not letting the driver hear a word.

"Why? Aren't you are old enough to make decisions for yourself." I bellowed.

"My Dad owns a hospital and wants me to manage it when he dies." He whispers again.

"You sound like your dad is sick or about to die." I told him.

"My dad has stage four cancer and the doctors has predicted he was going to die in about two months so my mom is making the necessary preparations." He squeals with a sad look on his face, it's funny how he is telling me his story and we are discussing about this kind of issues in his car.

"So sorry, but I'm really surprised you are telling me this." I muttered.

"Well I like you and really feel like sharing this with you." He said with a strain.

"This is my stop I can find my way home quickly." I say causing the driver to halt the car.

"I could drop you at your house." Ian pleaded.

"There's no need for that, I can walk home, don't stress yourself." I opened the door and tried to leave the car but he stopped me.

"I insist I'm dropping you off." he commanded.

The drive home was probably the longest I have ever had. We finally arrived at my house .

He walked me inside maybe to meet my family properly.

"We walked home, where were you?" Alex yelled at me even upon seeing Ian with me.

"I'm so sorry, I had to finish up some stuffs in school." I plead with a sorry puppy dog face.

"Hey!. . . I'm Ian her classmate nice meeting you." Ian stretched out his left hand for a handshake with Alex but my brute of a brother just walked away completely humiliating Ian.

"Is he always like that." Ian asked recovering from the shock of the snub.

"Not really, he has his days especially since mom left us, he changed completely." I answered dropping off my bags on a couch.

"Get seated." I asked of him.

"I have to got to get going unless I might get a earful from my Mum." He kissed my cheeks for the second time today and left my house.

For some stupid reasons I didn't ask him why he lied to Jeanette today, I'm such a fool. Maybe I felt too relaxed.
