Gay Sweaters
"But why?" Roman frowned.
"Because It'll he adorable!" Patton squealed.
"I disagree." Virgil leaned back from where he sat in his corner by the heater, away from the others who were under the Christmas tree.
"For me? Please?" Patton whined.
"I'm not wearing a two-person sweater, Patton." Roman sighed.
"Yeah, for once, I'm agreeing with sir-sing-a-lot." Virgil rested his head on his knees.
"Oh boy." Logan sighed.
"What?" Roman turned his gaze to Logan.
"Oh, nothing other than that there will be a ninety-seven point three percent chance that Patton will begin to cry." Logan fixed his glasses on his face, "And it'll be the fault of you two."
Roman immediately felt guilty when he looked at Patton who did indeed look like he was on the verge of tears, he was about to say something when he was surprised to hear another voice.
"We'll wear the sweater, Patt." Virgil muttered.
Patton's face immediately brightened up as he clapped his hands together, "Oh! Thank you, kiddo! I love you!" Patton made a heart against his chest with his hands.
"Meh." Virgil shrugged.
"Virgil? Seriously? You're the one suggesting this?" Roman asked in a bit of astonishment.
"Patton is suggesting it," Virgil began as Patton unfolded the sweater, half made of the Sanders' Sides Anxiety Ugly-Sweater and the other half of the Sanders' Sides Prince Ugly-Sweater, stitched together, "I'm simply...obliging..."
"By you obliging now I have too!" Roman huffed.
"You don't." Virgil shrugged.
"Yes I do!"
"Why?" Virgil shrugged once more.
"Who else is going to?" Roman rolled his eyes.
"I could." Patton squeaked.
"That's very kind of you, Patton, but Virgil most likely wouldn't-"
"You not admitting jealousy is so cute." Virgil's voice was smeared with sarcasm as he smirked.
It was still enough to cause Roman's cheeks to light up a bit, "I am not- Jealous." He scoffed.
"Full Of Pride, Jealous, call it what you want but it's true." Virgil snickered.
"I am not!" Roman repeated.
"Then I'll simply-"
"Give me the sweater." Roman demanded.
Patton nodded and gave Roman the sweater.
Roman slipped it on, and looked to Virgil, "I am not jealous and am completely capable of allowing you your own decisions, but Patton specifically made this sweater out of the materials of my sweater and yours, and it would be rude to give it to anyone else."
"Is that so?" Virgil folded his arms before scooting into his side of the sweater.
"That it is."
Virgil had one arm out of his end of the sweater as Roman had one out of his, making up one big sweater.
"I hate this already." Roman tossed his head up.
"I hate it more." Virgil grinned.
"My stars!" Roman scoffed.
"This'll be interesting to watch." Logan put in with an amused look, "Try and get some...beaten egg...with cream of- nog?"
"Egg-Nog, Love." Patton squeezed Logan's hand.
"Ah, y-es." Logan nodded, voice cracking at the contact.
Roman sighed before nodding and advancing towards the kitchen.
Virgil yelped as they began to move and tripped a little.
"Careful!" Roman hissed as he grabbed Virgil's hand that was inside the sweater.
Virgil's pale face turned a light pink before letting out a small grumble, but not letting go of Roman's hand. They stopped walking once they were in the kitchen, wobbling a little as they stopped at different times.
"I'll get the eggnog." They both said at the same time before sighing.
"You can get it." Virgil mumbled.
Roman simply nodded and turned towards the fridge, pulling Virgil along with a squeak of protest as well. Roman then grabbed the carton and walked to the counter.
Virgil grabbed a cup from the table.
"Hold it steady." Roman ordered as he struggled to uncap the eggnog with one hand.
"Of course, your majesty." Virgil bowed his head sarcastically.
"Hush." Roman began to poor the nog into the cup.
Virgil thought a moment before smirking and jerking away the cup, causing Roman to spill eggnog all over the counter.
"Virgil!" Roman gasped, stomping a foot as he slammed the eggnog down into the counter, "This drink is sacred, why would you purposefully spill it!?"
"You're the one who kept pouring." Virgil simply shrugged.
"You-" Roman began before Patton came crashing into the kitchen.
"I got it!" Patton squealed, immediately leaping towards the counter and turning into a brown kitten mid air, landing on the counter top as he slid to a halt.
"Shit, it's cute." Virgil squinted at the kitten Patton who was ever so happily lapping up the eggnog.
"We're going to my room, I need beauty sleep after this mess of a day." Roman rolled his eyes.
"It's only eleven PM, we can stay up for a few more hours." Virgil protested, but they were already in Roman's room.
"Rest is important!" Roman was already advancing towards his bed.
"Nope." Virgil suddenly dropped his feet, almost causing the sweater to rip as Roman faltered as half of his sweater fell.
"Virgil! Get up this instant!"
"Nope." Virgil repeated as he stayed on his knees on the floor.
"Get up!" Roman growled as he pulled at Virgil's hand.
"No-pe." Virgil pulled back and accidentally caused Roman to lose his balance, then toppling over to the ground beside Virgil.
Virgil tried to stifle a laugh but couldn't help but let one escape as the fanciful-side face-planted into the red-carpeting.
"Shut." Roman growled through the carpet.
"Clumsy Royal, huh?" Virgil grinned smugly.
Roman growled in announce before jabbing Virgil in the side and emitting a high-pitched squeak from the other.
Virgil shrank back in the sweater so only above his nose showed out of the shared neck hole.
"Sensitive sides!" Virgil hissed our in annoyance.
"Don't be difficult!" Roman hissed back.
Virgil simply glare back before turning to lay on his back.
"Well, if you won't let me get some rest in my bed, the floor will have to do." Roman sighed and laid on his back as well, closing his eyes. He let the silence grab hold of him as it seemed to echo through the room, though there was nothing to echo in the first place. Just before he believe sleep would come, Roman felt something wriggle under his arm and opened his eyes to see Virgil begrudgingly scorching closer to him in the sweater, thinking Roman was asleep.
"Goodnight, Dark Prince." Roman murmured.
Virgil froze a moment before relaxed against Roman's side, staying silent as to not acknowledge the affection.
"I told you it would be amusing." Logan murmured to Patton as they shut the door to Roman's room.
