[It's almost spooky day ;)]
[Sorry for not being on top of updates "^^ I've been focusing on 'Shine and Be Mine' but figured I should update this too, once I finished 'Shine and Be Mine' then I'll get back to regularly updating this!]
"No."
"I'll say please."
"You wouldn't."
"I so would."
"You wouldn't."
"...Please?"
Roman threw his hands up in the air helplessly, "Fine, we can go in the haunted house."
"Yay." Virgil smirked happily.
"But- I thought you didn't like scary things?" Roman frowned as they approached the front of the house.
"I love scary things, except for scary movies, the soundtrack makes it really...unsettling." Virgil shuttered.
"Whatever, you have to go to Disneyland with me next time I ask though." Roman nodded.
"Duh? Who wouldn't want to go Disneyland?" Virgil scoffed.
"And get Minnie mouse ears- I'll get the Mickie mouse ones!" Roman was now beaming with joy.
"Uhg...fine. But, that means we get to explore every room, alright?" Virgil stopped once they reached the short line at the entrance, pulling out two dollars for entry. One dollar for him, and one dollar for Roman.
"Deal, but only if you don't cling to me the entire time, alright?" Roman chuckled.
"As if." Virgil rolled his eyes.
"You're holding my hand right now." Roman pointed out.
"You want me to stop?"
"...No."
"Welcome one, welcome all! Welcome ghosts, welcome souls, to the annual fright festival! Here in this house you may just find your wildest dreams...or encounter your wildest nightmares." The man, also money-collector, at the door called out.
"Straight men pretending to be gay?" Roman murmured to Virgil, earning a loud, short laugh from the other and feeling successful.
"We are not responsible to any harm done beyond this door..." The door-man finished in an airy tone.
"But...you are? It's your property and you haven't a contrac-"
"Roman, let it be." Virgil elbowed the royal lightly, "Stop pulling a Logan."
"Oh god, you're right." Roman stuck out his tongue before entering the house with Virgil, "Where to first, my Creepy-Cookie?"
Virgil always felt his heart leap up at that name, and he had yet to figure out if that was a good or bad thing. He simply shrugged, "You choose, there are five doors. Wanna' start with the first?"
"You lead the way." Roman offered, letting go of the other's hand to allow him to enter first.
"Of course, M'lady." Virgil grinned with sarcasm as they walked into the room.
Roman followed quickly after and stopped beside the darker-aspect once fully in the room.
"Welcome, Welcome...I've been expecting you...come, come, sit..." An older woman beckoned the two forward, waving her hands around a crystal-ball- obviously made out of cheap glass and LED lights.
"You...shall I take your fortune?" The lady pointed a fragile finger at Roman.
Roman blinked a few times before shrugging with a hit of excitement, "Alright."
The lady nodded before looking into her glass ball, letting out a few murmurs and responses before her eyes widened, "Ah! Yes! Young man! You will meet a beautiful woman and fall in love!"
Roman glanced over to Virgil who was fighting back laughter. He then turned to the lady and back to Virgil, "Virge- do you have something you'd like to confess?" Roman couldn't stifle a little giggle himself.
Virgil half-smiled, "Other than I hope that beautiful girl is me, nope!"
The lady looked a bit shocked before shaking her head, "O-Or man! A beautiful woman or man!"
Roman rolled his eyes and held out his hand for Virgil, "Well, beautiful man, we shall be off then?"
"And good fortune to you two! May you not find something...too frightening, eh?"
Virgil waved to be a bit friendly before pulling Roman along to the door across the hallway, "Now this one." He nodded.
Roman couldn't help but smile at the younger-aspect's enthusiasm, and found it rubbing off on him. That is, until they reached the next room.
"Welcome, to the creepy-crawls bug exi-"
"NOPE!" Roman yelped and pulled Virgil back by the wrist, "NOPE. NOPE. N O P E."
Virgil grinned softly with a small roll of his eyes but didn't argue, instead bringing Roman to the third door.
Roman was plunged into darkness for a second before a dim candle lit itself in the blackness of the room.
"Welcome...to your worst nightmare..."
Roman could feel his heart beat pick up at this and found himself holding onto Virgil's hand tightly.
"Take a seat..." The same voice rang over head.
Roman and Virgil looked around and headed towards a now lit chair.
"Ah, ah, ah...one on either side of the room..." The voice was getting louder.
Roman shook his head, "Virgil...I don't know about this..."
"We'll be fine, it's just a game." Virgil gave a reassuring smile to Roman, but he didn't find it to help much and he sat down on a chair across from Virgil.
"Good...good...don't get too frightened now..." The voice cackled.
Roman's heart-rate was nearly sky-rocketing by now and he looked longingly over to Virgil. He was about to say something when the two of them were both plunged into darkness as the candle flickered off. And Roman couldn't help it, but he screamed, a loud, high-pitched scream.
"Roman! It's alright! I'm here- it's okay!" Virgil shouted from the other side.
Roman felt something tap his shoulder, "Vir...gil...?"
"Yeah?"
Except, Virgil's voice was on the other side of the room.
"Virgil! Someone's got me!" Roman shrieked as hands rested on his shoulders. Roman felt himself hyperventilating, "V-Virgil?" All Roman heard was the muffled sound of his lover. And Roman did something he would regret for the rest of the night. He began to cry. Legitimate tears, but crying nonetheless. He let out a small wail and the arms around his shoulders disappeared and the light came back on, showing Virgil who was looking around in a confused manor before coming to his sense and racing over to Roman.
Roman immediately melted into Virgil's arms as he hugged him tightly, letting out small, choked sobs into his shoulder while holding the other close, "I- th-thought that- they hurt- you-"
"Roman! Roman no! I'm so sorry, Ro- I was staying quiet to scare you- I promise, I didn't mean this, come on, I really didn't." Virgil felt guilt pulsing through his entire body as he held the other aspect tightly.
"I-I wanna' go home Virgil...please?" Roman sniffled out as they got.
"Yeah, of course..." Virgil frowned before stopping, "Put my hoodie on and pull it over your face- it helps hide the fact that...you've been crying..." Virgil mumbled before pulling off his hoodie and offering it to Roman, "It...also makes me feel better so- it'll- sorry...I thought you'd just get... a bit scared and...Roman, I'm really sorry, I didn't intend this..."
Roman pulled the hood over his face before pressing his covered cheek to Virgil's, "I don't ever want to believe I've lost you...ever, that is my worst nightmare, okay?"
"...Okay..." Virgil nodded, leaning towards Roman a bit.
"I could never not love you either, but I can be mad, got it?"
"...Got it..."
"Hey,"
"Hey...?"
"Creepy-Cookie? I...love you."
"...Love you...too, Ro..."
