Virgil's p.O.V
Being the one comforting someone is hard. It's so stressful and you have to constantly worry about if you're saying the right thing or not and if you should hug them or not. Right now I was having to comfort Roman after he got over worked. He had been up for the last 3 nights working on a script for Thomas, he was extremely stressed out because of this. He started freaking out and came to me for help. I was currently hugging him while he cried into my chest, shaking slightly.
"R-Roman you're alright shh... it's okay I'm here you're okay..." I wasn't quiet sure what to say honestly.
"I-I j-just can't h-handle it anymore! H-h-hav-having t-to stay u-up for so long p-planning something j-just to have the idea s-shot down! It sucks!"
"I know but it's okay now.. you need to get some sleep honestly."
"You're one to talk!" He snapped back at me. Honestly it hurt. I hated being yelled at, and being yelled at by the one you love hurt even more. I took a deep breath. He didn't mean it, he was just stressed. But what if he really was mad? No I need to stop thinking like this.
"Well, first of all you really didn't need to yell at me, I am just trying to help! And second of all, I am used to not sleeping, and I don't stay up 24/7 I get at least an hour of sleep. You however haven't sleep at all in the last three days!"
"N-not true... I g-got 10 minutes yesterday.."
"Okay that isn't good at all. You really need to sleep you could get really sick from that."
"Again, you're one to talk."
"And again, my body is used to it so fuck you. You don't want my help than go ask someone else." I pulled my arms away from around him and crossed them over my chest. I heard him whine, and with just that small noise I almost wrapped my arms around him instantly, he I stopped myself.
"Okay! Okay I'm sorry for shouting... c-can I please have another hug.?" I sighed and looked at him. He was looking at me from the side of the bed he was one with sad puppy eyes.I sighed again louder.
"Okay fine but only because you're re- never mind.." I stopped myself. He didn't need to find out I liked him yet. I wrapped my arms around him and rubbed his back soothingly. He let out a quiet yawn and slowly started dozing off. I continued to run his back until he was fully asleep. I removed my arms from around him and adjusted us to be laying down. I lay on my back and started at the ceiling until I fell asleep too.
When I woke up I felt an arm under my back, like the person had been holding me in a hug but let go with one arm. I glanced over at the figure next to me and remembered last night when I saw Roman. I sighed and tried to get up, but was stopped when his other arm wrapped around me as he whined quietly. He was still fast asleep. I was forced to lay back down. As soon as I was back in my previous position Roman put his head on my chest and nuzzled into me while cuddling me. I tried to get up again, but his arms tightened around my waist and chest. I flopped down and sighed loudly. I blushed deeply but slowly calmed down and started playing with his hair. After about 15 minutes he woke up and glanced up at me, instantly blushing.
"Good morning emo nightmare."
"Morning sir-sing-a lot." We went back to silence until he softly spoke.
"I wanna wake up like this more often..." I felt him re-adjust making me look down at him and was met by a pair of lips on mine. I kissed back quickly after realizing what was happening. He pulled away after what felt like a few seconds.
"I love you, my chemically unbalanced romance..."
"I-I-I l-love y-you too pr-princey..."
"Your stutter is so freaking adorable oh my gosh!"
"Sh-s-shut u-u-up!"
"Never! Let me appreciate you."
"What-whatever n-nerd..."
"I'm your nerd though, right?"
"Ya, you're my nerd and I'm your emo nightmare."
"So were dating?"
"Y-y.. umm... y-yeah.. only if you wa-" i was cut off by another soft kiss.
"So yes?"
"Yes"
