Roman's P.O.V.

The sun was beginning to set and was casting a warm, melancholy glow upon the beach. The sand, once gold, was starting to appear more like granite. All around the sea played it's sad song, the wind howled and the sky was now jewelled with gleaming stars.

I knew I must leave but something seemed to make me drawn to the beach, drawn to the calming atmosphere. I felt at peace here, I felt content.

At last I stood and stared upon the horizon. I smiled. So much had happened here:

My first date with Virgil had taken place here: I had dragged him to the beach to "study" and had ended up having my first kiss. A few days later I had asked him to be my boyfriend here.

This was also the place where I hung out with my friends: we would always laugh and joke.

This was a safe place - a place where everything made sense and was perfect.

I looked at my hands and left my place of solitude.

So much had happened here: and tomorrow it's where I will marry the love of my life.
